London as a whole grouped and shown in associated data tables Excluding local authorities in London, the six local authorities with the largest share of online job adverts in December 2022 were all large cities: Manchester Birmingham City of Bristol Leeds Glasgow City Liverpool These local authorities also had the largest increase in their share of UK adverts between December 2021 and December 2022. Apart from Liverpool, the other five had information and communication technology jobs as their highest demanded category. Others of interest: Daventry and Harborough particularly high share of demand for Procurement and Warehouse management

Also in North East Derbyshire, Gedling, Hastings, Tendring, Blackpool, East Ayrshire, Highest in Broadland Over time, seeing flows across the pandemic – ramping up in 2020, subsequent winters. Deeper dive on ICT: Now if we go back to Manchester – we can see how its share of ICT is high, so is a hotspot, and over time, has been increasing Other hotspots seem to be in concentrated urban LAs and expected centres of high-tech industries, but not exclusively e.g. London and some nearby areas like Reading, Slough, Bracknell Forest, Rushmoor. Also Stevenage with a rise there – Edinburgh, but also Midlothian – the rise here has been since pandemic perhaps reflecting increase in homeworking opportunities for jobs near Scottish Capital - Sticking with Angus – huge rise in last three months May be similar in Northern Ireland – Belfast but also Antrim and Newtownabbey, though less extreme pandemic effect Malvern Hills – sustained, perhaps related to Malvern Hills Science Park Torridge, Mansfield – very intense recent rises Portsmouth high, but also recent rise
