1. Pharmacists are trying to retain regular customers by giving
them extra benefits like free home delivery & more than
10% discount on products having bigger margins.
2. Some schedule H drugs like Ibuprufen, Atorvastatin,
Moxifloxacin, Metacresol etc. are sold without prescription

Recommendations
 Introduced and explained the concept of online pharmacies to
the stores who did not have any idea about online pharmacies
and gave them some examples too.
 Asked pharmacies to provide free home delivery in a certain
radius and to give regular discounts to customers. Also gave
suggestions on offers they can give.
 Suggested pharmacies to give alternative cheap/generic
medicines to customers who need a medicine regularly
 Informed customers about online pharmacies as well as offers
available in offline pharmacies in their area.
 Suggested to order medicines from company as it will give
them more margin
Personal insight
1. Considering the misuse of drugs, online pharmacies strictly
require a printed prescription before the drug is purchased,
the same should be followed in offline pharmacies
2. Considering the inferences from the pharmacy & consumer
surveys, not more than 10-15% of the population knows
about or actually uses the online pharmacies.
3. Learnt how to be patient & how to deal with people in
different situations faced during the visits to different
pharmacies of different areas.
4. Learnt a few drug names of the medicines commonly used
and about the different schedules of the medicines.
