5. 1. Background and Objectives of the Project assigned
Project Overview: Online Reservation System contains the details about train reservation and
flight reservation which includes date of journey, passenger’s destination and much more option
for travelling by which a passenger may book their tickets online easily without going anywhere,
just by using your internet you can book tickets in less time frame.
In this world of fast growing of computer technology, it also provides a
more systematic and a formal approach towards booking tickets just by online method with the
comfort.
This Project has been developed in aim to aid computerized, so how can we become
isolate and untouched from this environment. That’s why keeping this in mind and an
opportunity or probably a creativity to do such a task in a different way and unique from others,
we made an online website for the crowd.
Motivation: Our subject teacher Nandini mam has motivated towards this interesting project and
she explained each and every detail briefly, by providing the rough module of homepage and she
also helped in clearing our doubts during the lectures. With the help of our notes and learnings
during the classes we made this project without any kind of similarity with other projects that are
allocated to every groups in our class.
Outcome of project: on the completion of this interesting project we came to learn many new
things and how we can make an online website which will help in our future and what we
expected exactly same we achieved by doing work in coordination, continuous working
by each member of group without wasting any time we were able to complete this project within
the given time frame with our diligent work.
Goals and Objectives: To understand and implement the concept of html and CSS to make an

engage towards our website which work smoothly and easier method to book a ticket.

7. 2. Description of Project
Online reservation system will hold train and flight booking in which there are many options like
travelling places and number of persons travelling, date of journey, date of returning, mode of
payment, ticket option, etc. It saves time as it allows online procedure as user no longer
to wait in a queue to book the flight or train tickets. It is automatically generated by the server.
Admin is the main authority who can do addition, deletion and modification of flights and train if
required.
The online reservation system project is an implementation of a general
Online ticketing website like yatra.com, makemytrip.com and etc. which help the customers to
search the availability of trains and flight, places for travelling, date of journey, date of
returning, name of traveler, age of passenger, number of adults, senior citizen, children,
class of flight, mode of online payment, and much more option for the
user convenience.
This Website also covers features like online registration for the new user’s, they can
login in case they are having their account, there is also an option to reset password if a certain
user forgets hisher password, there is a separate section of contact us here a person can,
contact us if they have any kind of query related to our online website, about us here a user may
know about us what we are, my account here they can login, create new account, reset there
password.

8. We have given option for password which is mandatory without this user can’t use
this website we have kept it mandatory so that every user must have their separate account.
In general, this website is designed to perform like any other online reservation website
available online.

Shruti Sanjana: she has taken the responsibility of making the module of flight with all four
classes i.e. economy class, business class, first class and premium economy which looks
attractive and interesting, forget password. She has played an important role in the

10. selection of the background images and in styling of pages.
Prachi Verma: she has taken the responsibility of making the module of train with all three
options of general, tatkal, premium tatkal, there is option of destination, mode of payment and
much more which gives a royal look to page and defines every features of module, forget
password she has also played a key role in selecting the background images of
webpages and in styling the pages.
Vikash Kumar: he has taken responsibility of making the module of contact us, my account in
which user can create their account to avail our services here every user has their own account no
sharing of account is allowed, he also selected logo, an important role in linking
and implementation of all pages into one main page i.e. in homepage.

option for user. There is also a choice of home from where user may
move back to home, also toll number for any enquiry.

In this module a user have an option to contact
Us in case of any question they are having related to our website, we
Will be clearing their queries or they are having any issue in opening
Of site or any issue in using the site. This page gives an attractive look
To the module by which user may get attracted towards it and it also

website such as how they were able to make this website successfully
what kind of behavior they are having and how they have done the
work with Full enthusiasm and in coordination. User may also get to
know about the personality of the developer.

In this module user can make their account to
know about the history, without account a person may not know about
their history, it is compulsory so that every user should have there
personal account and the data should not be shared with anyone. A user
needs to have email id, mobile number and enter username.
There is also a choice of going back to homepage for booking the
train and flight tickets.

In this page a user may login in case they are having
Account with password, if they have lost the password, they can reset it
also, they can make a new account to avail the site services, there are
option available as you see on picture below. It just, ask your email id,
username, password, confirmation of password in sign up.
In login, ask for username and password. In lost your password section
it, ask for password and re-enter your password.

We have used HTML, CSS, and java script as technologies, also notepad
for writing the codes of webpages, we have used some app for editing
the background images of webpages and creating the logo of website.
