The Ancient Olympic Games began in 776 BC in Olympia, Greece and were held every four years as part of a religious festival honoring Zeus. They featured competitions such as running, boxing, chariot racing, and the pentathlon and were celebrated continuously until being abolished by the Romans in 393 AD. The Modern Olympic Games were founded in 1896 in Athens by Pierre de Coubertin, who established the International Olympic Committee with a goal of promoting international friendship through sporting competition. The Youth Olympic Games were launched in 2010 as a multi-sport event for young athletes aged 14 to 18 to emphasize sports, culture and education.

Slide 1:
Welcome, and thank you for joining me today. We will explore a strategic proposal to enhance parking and traffic management at Lincoln Financial Field, aiming to improve the overall fan experience and operational efficiency. This comprehensive plan addresses existing challenges and leverages innovative solutions to create a smoother and more enjoyable experience for our fans.
Slide 2:
Picture this: It’s a crisp fall afternoon, driving towards Lincoln Financial Field. The atmosphere is electric—tailgaters grilling, fans in Eagles jerseys creating a sea of green and white. The air buzzes with camaraderie and anticipation. You park, join the throng, and make your way to your seat. The stadium roars as the Eagles take the field, sending chills down your spine. Each play is a thrilling dance of strategy and skill. This is what being an Eagles fan is all about—the joy, the pride, and the shared experience.
Slide 3:
But now, the day is marred by frustration. The excitement wanes as you struggle to find a parking spot. The congestion is overwhelming, and tempers flare. The delays mean you miss the pre-game excitement, the tailgate camaraderie, and even the opening kick-off. After the game, the joy of victory or the shared solace of defeat is overshadowed by the stress of navigating out of the parking lot. The gridlock, honking horns, and endless waiting drain the energy and joy from what should have been an unforgettable experience.
Our proposal aims to eliminate these frustrations, ensuring that from arrival to departure, your experience is extraordinary. Efficient parking and smooth traffic flow are key to maintaining the high spirits and excitement that make game days special.
Slide 4:
The Philadelphia Eagles are not just a premier NFL team; they are an integral part of the community, hosting games, concerts, and various events at Lincoln Financial Field. Slide 5:
Recent trends show an increasing demand for efficient event logistics. Our customer feedback has consistently highlighted frustrations with parking and traffic. Surveys indicate that a significant number of fans are dissatisfied with the current parking situation. Comparisons with other venues like Citizens Bank Park and Wells Fargo Center reveal that we lag in terms of parking efficiency and convenience. These insights underscore the urgent need for innovation to meet and exceed fan expectations.

The Ancient Olympic Games started in 776 B.C. That is about 2784 years ago.

There was a Sacred truce – this means that the war would stop temporarily for the Olympic games. This ritual of the Olympic Games was followed strictly by all the neighbouring countries.

Q1. Where do you think the first recorded Olympic Games was?
A1. The first recorded Olympic Games in history was in Olympia.
Q2. In which country is Olympia?
A2. It is in Greece.
The ancient Greek people had beautiful architecture, sculpture and art. From art that was found on pottery as shown on the slide, we learnt about the sports held at the Ancient Olympic Games.
The Ancient Olympic Games included events like running, chariot racing, boxing and pentathlon. Only men were allowed to participate and watch the games.
The Ancient Games were celebrated until 393 AD. When the Romans conquered Greece, they stopped the games.
Now that I have given all of us a quick introduction on the ancient Olympic Games, we shall take a look at the modern Olympic Games.
(Click to animate)
The modern Olympic Games was founded by a person named Baron Pierre de Coubertin.
He was a Frenchman, born in Paris in 1863.
Coubertin, whose father was an artist and mother a musician, was raised in cultivated and aristocratic surroundings. He had always been deeply interested in questions of education. For him, education was the key to the future of society, and he realised that through sports, he could help to change the old-fashioned and unimaginative education system then.
On 23 June, 1894 he founded the International Olympic Committee in a ceremony held at the University of Sorbonne in Paris and two years later, in 1896, the first Olympic Games of the modern era were held in Athens. On that occasion Coubertin was elected the second president of the IOC and he remained president until 1925.
Through the modern Olympic Games, Coubertin tried to improve the human race and strengthen understanding and friendship amongst all people.
