This five-day course provides candidates with understanding on the terminology and protec�on
concepts for electrical/instrument equipment u�lized in explosive atmospheres. It covers the IEC
Standard 60079 Parts 14 and 17 and ATEX 95 and 137 European Direc�ves, including the prepara-
�on, installa�on, inspec�on and maintenance of electrical/instrument equipment used in explo-
sive atmospheres. The course u�lizes both prac�cal and theore�cal assessments, covering all
protec�on concepts listed in order to validate a candidates core competency to work safely in
explosive atmospheres in a series of specific modules listed below:
• EX01: The prepara�on and installa�on of Ex ‘d’, ‘n’, ‘e’ and ‘p’ electrical equipment •

CompEx Mechanical Ex11
This three-day course has been designed to develop the com-
petency of mechanical personnel working in poten�ally flam-
mable atmospheres. Delegates will gain knowledge, under-
standing and prac�ce in the prepara�on, installa�on, inspec-
�on and maintenance of mechanical equipment. The class also
covers the standards for the manufacture and installa�on of
mechanical equipment and their protec�on concepts. Topics

CompEx Founda�on
This is a CompEx training unit developed to give a full under-
standing of the requirements of working safely in a poten�ally
explosive atmosphere through knowledge based training and
assessment. Designed specifically to enable CompEx core com-
petency and the promo�on of safe working. This course aims
to raise awareness of the managment responsibilty and ac�ons
where the management has control of/or directs work of
personnel who carry out the installa�ons and maintenance of
eletrical equipment and appratus in hazardous environments.

Engineering for Offshore Drilling Rigs, to deliver Drilling Rig Inspec�on
Workshops (RIW) which teaches the inspec�on & maintenance procedures
required to ensure equipment integrity. Candidates learn to implement the
relevant standards & understand industry requirements so that they can
verify the condi�on of a rig’s equipment & improve safety, thus reducing
the number of accidents and protec�ng the asset.
The Rig Inspec�on Workshop deals with the most common equipment deficiencies and recurring problems. It
describes & explains the working principles of major drilling equipment using detailed examples from our techni-
cal inspec�on database. The RIW consists of five days of interac�ve classroom sessions with ample �me for group

Par�cipants will use in the class the state-of-the-art HVAC Simulator to prac�ce some of the skills learnt.The

This course provides a complete and up-to-date overview of HVAC & refrigera�on systems for HVAC, u�li�es, main-

This course introduces basic reservoir geomechanics concepts and methods to enable cross-disciplinary exchange
of ideas and experience. It provides the required input to help you understand ques�ons crucial to the reservoir

Reliability Centered Maintenance
Equipment failure means services interrup�on, increased down�me costs, plus a serious safety hazards. The RCM,
Reliability-Centered Maintenance, evolves the new strategic framework that ensures that any asset con�nues to
perform, as its users want it to perform. Using the right methodology leads to maintenance management best
prac�ce. This workshop will discuss the principles of RCM, and its implementa�on and best prac�ce. RCM is a tool
that deals with failures in a systema�c way, analyzes the failure and sets up a maintenance strategy to predict,
prevent, eliminate, or reduce the probability of failure.
The objec�ve is to learn how to apply proven reliability methods that will reduce equipment failures and down-
�me. Reliability Centered Maintenance is a strategy that start from the very first stages of design, supported by
pre-determined opera�on procedures and maintenance strategies, and implementa�on of an effec�ve monitoring
system. Reliability Centered Maintenance involves Condi�on Based Maintenance too
This five-day course will provide an intensive knowledge regarding inspec�on, repair and altera�on of Pressure
vessels, Piping Design and etc. The course fulfills the need for deciding the inspec�on methods and Frequency of
inspec�on based on the evalua�on of the condi�on of the vessel. En�re course content will be consistent with the
body of knowledge for API examina�on.
The course will help the individuals to understand API Recommended Prac�ce along with other referenced
standards like ASME. The par�cipants will be given a thorough coverage of API with emphasis on understanding of
‘stated’ and ‘implied’ requirements in a simple straigh�orward manner. This course will employ latest audio visuals

HPHT Well Design and Opera�ons
This course is delivered as a scenario based course to provide knowledge of High-Pressure and High-Temperature
(HPHT) well design, drilling and comple�on opera�ons to drilling and comple�on engineers. The course is speciﬁ-
cally designed to provide an understanding of the challenges associated with the design and construc�on of HPHT
wells. The course is delivered as a scenario based course and this starts with a basic HPHT pressure proﬁle and
geology. The course lets par�cipants work through the various well design aspects. Working on a real case allows
the par�cipants to learn not only theory, technicali�es and prac�cali�es of drilling and comple�ng HPHT wells but
it also ensures that par�cipants gain real experience in understanding the HPHT issues.
If this course is provided to par�cipants from a single client the course scenario can be provided by the client. This
allows par�cipants a real insight into the HPHT challenges from their own well.
This course follows the excellent Drilling Project & Risk Management principles so clearly wri�en in “Project Risk
Management” by Chapman & Ward; “Project Management – A Jump Start” by Heldman and several industry
standard booklets, pamphlets and documents all designed to help drilling project work proceed on Mme, on cost
and without incident / accident. Whilst certain Case Studies will be covered to help the delegates understand
how control can so easily be “lost”, companies are welcome to bring their own Case Histories too, should they
wish.
Risk will be covered in both its simplest form – i.e. the numerated Boston Square example – but it will also be
covered in the highly numerated QRA (QuanMtaMve Risk Assessment formant), where a detailed near-HPHT well
will be discussed and portrayed.
