INTRODUCTION
Childhood obesity is a growing global concern, and Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh,
is no exception. This alarming trend necessitates proactive measures to
protect the health and well-being of school students.

PROBLEM STATEMENT
A study to find out the prevalence of obesity in school
going students and to prepare an educational package for
students on prevention and management of obesity and
test its effectiveness in terms of gain knowledge in
selected schools of Lucknow, U.P., India.
OBJECTIVES
General Objective:
• To assess the prevalence of obesity among school students in selected
schools of Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.
Secondary Objectives:
1. To develop an educational package for students on preventing and
managing obesity.
2. To evaluate the effectiveness of the educational package in terms of
knowledge gain among students in selected schools.
3. To identify factors associated with obesity in school students.
4. To recommend strategies for promoting healthy weight management
practices among school students.
INTRODUCTION
Despite the life-saving potential of antiretroviral therapy (ART), consistent
adherence remains a challenge for many HIV patients. This can lead to viral
resistance, treatment failure, and compromised health outcomes. Psychosocial
factors like depression, anxiety, stigma, and lack of social support are known
to significantly impact adherence, yet their prevalence and influence among
HIV patients

A Study to assess psychosocial aspects and adherence to
Antiretroviral therapy among HIV patients attending the
ART Plus Center at KGMU, Lucknow, U.P., India.
OBJECTIVES
General Objective:
• Assess the relationship between psychosocial factors and ART adherence
among HIV patients at the ART Plus Center, KGMU, Lucknow.
Secondary Objectives:
• Estimate the prevalence of depression, anxiety, and stigma among patients
attending the center.
• Analyze the association between these psychosocial factors and self-
reported and medication refill-based ART adherence measures.
• Recommend evidence-based interventions or strategies to address the
identified psychosocial challenges and improve ART adherence at the
center.
