Every summer, people in Gum Hop Drop City head to Lake Tabby to enjoy various activities, including snorkeling to see the furry cats living in the lake, participating in swimming relay races on Saturdays where teams compete for ice cream and cats as prizes, paddling around the lake in their chocolates, and having a picnic with chicken sandwiches and cake sundaes accompanied by music. People look forward to returning to Lake Tabby the following summer for more fun.

A student saw a poster announcing a pet show and decided to enter their dog Sneeve. At the show, Sneeve performed tricks by balancing objects and jumping over obstacles until a large snake startled him. Though the judge appeared unhappy with Sneeve jumping, he surprisingly won the ninth place prize, making the student proud of their talented dog.

population expansion, and economic progress, the effects on natural ecosystems are becoming
more evident. A crucial element of this impact is the alteration of vegetation cover, which plays a
significant role in maintaining the ecological equilibrium of our planet.Land serves as the foundation for all human activities and provides the necessary materials for
these activities. As the most crucial natural resource, its utilization by humans results in different
'Land uses,' which are determined by both human activities and the physical characteristics of the
land.
The utilization of land is impacted by human needs and environmental factors. In countries
like India, rapid population growth and the emphasis on extensive resource exploitation can lead
to significant land degradation, adversely affecting the region's land cover.
Therefore, human intervention has significantly influenced land use patterns over many
centuries, evolving its structure over time and space. In the present era, these changes have
accelerated due to factors such as agriculture and urbanization. Information regarding land use and
cover is essential for various planning and management tasks related to the Earth's surface,
providing crucial environmental data for scientific, resource management, policy purposes, and
diverse human activities.
Accurate understanding of land use and cover is imperative for the development planning
of any area. Consequently, a wide range of professionals, including earth system scientists, land
and water managers, and urban planners, are interested in obtaining data on land use and cover
changes, conversion trends, and other related patterns. The spatial dimensions of land use and

- 2. We predict that if the sub canopy was taken away it will affect the bush by there being less birds with homes . Also it will affect the bush by there being less shade and it will have only little plants and flaxes . There will still be homes for lizards and insects.
- 3. Sub canopy layer if it was taken away If the sub canopy was taken away there would be less birds because there would be less berries to eat because the birds mostly eat berries.
- 4. Questions What are the names of the native bush? How many layers are in the native bush? In what ways do plants and trees grow differently? Why do plants and trees have different heights?
- 5. Answers There are 5 layers in the native bush Trees grow up to 25 metres and plants grow up to 6 metres The layers are emergent layer , sub canopy , canopy , understory layer and the forest floor
- 6. ConclusionWe predicted that if the sub- canopy was taken away it will affect the bush by there being less birds with homes. Also it will affect the bush by having less shade and only little plants and flaxes . We were correct because the birds that lived in the sub canopy would have no homes.
