This thesis presents a translation and critical commentary of 'nuzhat al-nazar f tawd h nukhbat al-fikar', a manual by ibn hajar al-‘asqal n on the science of prophetic traditions. The work aims to provide an accessible English translation along with critical analysis to assess its significance and contextualize it within the scholarly climate of the ninth Islamic century. The study also engages with both Muslim and non-Muslim scholars' perspectives to enrich the understanding of hadith transmission and terminology.
