Teams voice launched in 2017 and has expanded significantly since then with the addition of Session Border Controllers in the cloud in 2018, attendants in 2019, and increased adoption during the pandemic in 2020. Features continue to grow including Operator Connect Mobile in 2022. Direct routing, calling plans, and Operator Connect provide telephony options. Integrations with Dynamics and contact centers are also expanding. The future of Teams voice looks bright with more features, integrations, and third party solutions on the horizon.
