This document discusses noun phrases and noun clauses. A noun phrase is a group of words with a noun that can be replaced by someone or something. A noun clause contains a subject and verb and acts as a noun, often introduced by that, what, who, where. Examples are provided of identifying and changing noun clauses to phrases. Noun clauses can be identified as they do the work of a noun, and can be changed to phrases by removing the introducing word.
