This document discusses a study on the management of mature permanent mandibular molar teeth with symptomatic irreversible pulpitis and apical periodontitis. The study involved 60 teeth that were divided into two groups - one receiving non-surgical endodontic treatment alone and the other receiving non-surgical endodontic treatment along with vital pulp therapy. Both treatments showed high success rates at 12 months, with rates of 90% for non-surgical endodontic treatment alone and 93.3% for the combination treatment. The combination treatment was found to be a viable minimally invasive option for managing such teeth.
