SIP 96x1 (9608, 9611, 9621, 9641) Avaya SIP phones. In that phones 9608 and 9611
were button phones, 9621 and 9641 were touch phones. These phones were the most
advanced phones, where some new features were introduced. They are like Bridge call
appearance, busy indicator etc. These phones were the best SIP phones in the market.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Registering the phones with 2 proxies and doing major testing like failover and
failback. Testing the features like three call forwarding’s (Call forward
unconditional, call forward user busy and call forward user not responding),
transfers (Blind Transfer and Transfer consulting), call hold and other new
features like Bridge call appearance and busy indicators. Testing all these features
with all signaling parts.
• Executing the regression test suit in QC. Writing the test cases and executing the
test cases according to that.
• Testing the End points (phones) using third party Proxies. Verifying whether the
phones are working properly and are not in third party environment
• We were able to use WEB applications using WML scripts with these Avaya
phones.
• Raising the bugs in the current build as per the priority in Jira Tool. The
corresponding bug fix will appear in the new builds, where sanity will be done in
that builds.
• We have used SMs (Session managers) and CM (Communication managers)
which are like proxy and media gateways.
• We have used SMGR which is like PBX, where we could create extensions and
features as per the need like call forwards, Transfers and all.
