Introduction
My film is overall about a girl that gets kidnapped and the film is about what happens
to her whilst she is kidnapped. But for my AS coursework we only have to do the
opening to my film, so in my opening I’m just going to include the actually
kidnapping, this will make the audience engaged as it has an eventful opening.


Target audience
I have decided that my target audience is going to be 16-18 as I am in that age group
so I believe it will be easier for me to base a start of a film on what they like.


Rough ideas
It’s going to be set in two different times as the police station is going to be in the
present and the kidnapping in the past, the girl (who was kidnapped) is going to be
getting interviewed to the police officer asking about what happened, then whilst she
is talking we are going to change into the past. To not confuse the audience I’m going
to put a date in the bottom right hand corner when the dates change. Also when we
change to the wood scene when kidnapping happens I never want the audience to see
the kidnappers face.

Ruth- I was walking home, i had my music loud, that’s probably why I didn’t hear
him. I decided to take the short cut home through woods cos I was already late, it was
about 5 to ten when I looked a my watch and then I heard noise almost like a scratch
But coming from behind me. I didn’t think anything of it, thought it was just some kid
messing about, only if I had known then.
P.O- don’t blame yourself Ruth
Ruth- after that I turned my music louder, to block all the noises out, then the next
thing I know there’s a hand on my shoulder and I just screamed and tried to run to run
away but he wouldn’t let me,(speaking almost crying) he wouldn’t let me go
P.O- its okay Ruth
Ruth- then I was just on the floor, trying to get him off of me, I couldn’t even scream
for help cos he put some sort of cloth in my mouth.
P.O-did you see what he looked like
Ruth- then when I looked up at him, he was all in black, I tried reaching to take his
balaclava and he grabbed my hand, he grabbed it so tight my arm went red. After that
I must off made him really angry, he reached to his pocket and got some sort of drug
out, and kept on trying to force it down my throat I tried to stop him, but me
made(emphasise) he made me sallow it. (Back to police station) then everything else
its just a blur, why cant I remember, if I just remembered his voice, looks, name,
WHY CANT I REMEMBER!
P.O- come on Ruth, I think that’s enough for today, I will see you tomorrow the same
time yeah
Ruth- why tomorrow I’m not going to remember, the day after that I wont a week,
year there’s no point even trying to catch him cos he’s out there, and I know he will
come find me again and finish off what he wanted too
P.O- don’t talk like that, your safe
Ruth- No I’m not I never will be (pause) EVER!
