• Total patient centred care for victims of sexual assault. Performing both forensic and non-forensic
examinations for victims of sexual assault aged fourteen years and over.
• Coordinating and managing the other members of staff required to maintain the sexual assault treatment
unit (SATU).
• Providing and coordinating a follow up service for patients.
• Undertaking audit and research to provide up-to-date evidence based practice and statistics as required for
service provision.
