Newton's three laws of motion are described. The first law states that an object at rest will stay at rest unless acted on by an external force, also known as the law of inertia. The second law states that applying a force to an object will cause it to accelerate, with greater mass requiring greater force. The third law states that for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. Examples are given for each law.

2. Newton’s First Law Of Motion
Newton’s first law states that an object is
at rest, it will remain at rest unless an
external force acts upon it.
Similarly, if Newton’s first law of motion
is also known as the ‘Law Of Incertia’.

3. Example of
Newton’s first law of motion
 A golf ball, it will remain at rest unless
an external force acts upon it.

4. Newton’s Second Law Of Motion
• Newton’s second law states that when a force
acts on an object, it will cause the object to
accelerate.
• The larger the mass of the object, the greater
the force will need to be to cause it to
accelerate.
• This law may be written as force = mass *
acceleration.

5. Example of
Newton’s second law of motion
A car, when a force acts on it, it will
cause the object to accelerate.

6. Newton’s Third Law Of Motion
Newton’s third law states that for
every action, there is an equal and
opposite reaction.
What this means is that the object
has a reaction for every action.

7. Example of
Newton’s third law of motion
 Consider the motion of a car on the way to a place.
A car is equipped with wheels which spin
backwards, they grip the road and push the road
backwards.
