- 1. New idea. We cant think of a title.
- 2. Plot He tells her that he hasn’t seen her, as she walks away he turns around with a smug-smile on his face. This gives the audience the thought that he has something to do with the disappearance of the girl. We have a close up of his mouth, which then fades out, then back in to a woman's mouth. ‘You’ll be with mummy soon’ is all she says. Then a closing shot of a newly filled graved. It starts off with an old man, doing house hold chores- washing up, cutting the lawn etc. When he is cutting the lawn he is approached by a female. (not sure whether it’s a woman or a younger girl-teenager?) She then shows him a picture of a young girl, a missing girl.
- 3. Target audience Aged 15+ ‘The next generation’ and ‘The Young Hopefuls’ are very television orientated. Which means that they have more of a chance of seeing the film- online or on the television, which means they should be one of our main target audiences. ‘The comfortable Full Nesters’ and ‘Struggling Young Families’ are very family orientated, this film being about a family will impact families more.
- 4. Messages and Themes Our film contains a kidnapping- which is relatable from many different people- Those that have a family for themselves, or those with siblings. Our film will hopefully emphasize the safety of children, as everyone has been a child everyone can relate to it.
- 5. Thriller conventions Red Herring- The old man is thought to be involved in the disappearance, but then we find out he does not actually have her. Femme Fatale- Is the woman we see a femme fatale or is she the ‘villain’ Miss direction- Making the audience think that the old man has the young girl, he could be involved but he does not directly have her. Binary Opposites- The man and woman, The woman is the ‘bad character’ and the man is a good.
- 6. Practical Ideas Location- one of our houses (cutting the lawn, cleaning up etc) Then either a warehouse or an empty house to shoot the woman with the young girl. Costume- The man will be wearing normal clothing so will the family member of the missing girl. The womanthat is thought to have the child, will have red lipstick on, black outfit- leather high heels- maybe. Personnel- We need to ask people to star in our film as we still are not sure who would fit the characters, what we want them to look like yet.
