A newly created operational planning model provides a clear and user-friendly interface to produce cost-effective plans while maintaining control over every hour of operation. The model allows users to easily enter and adjust volumes, rates, and rate bandings in a simple budget page. It pulls colleagues and their rota patterns from a lookup page and allocates hours to specific tasks on a checksheet, directly affecting capacities displayed on the planning model screens. These screens allow users to move colleagues between tasks and chambers while seeing live capacities matched against budget targets to adjust the operation on the fly.

A newly created operational planning model, with a clear and user friendly
interface. Retains the level of detail required to produce cost effective plans,
whilst maintaining control of every hour in the operation.

2. Below is simple budget page, where volumes, rates and rate bandings can be easily entered and
adjusted.

3. This page pulls through from the rota page and acts as a checksheet, where hours can be allocated
to specific tasks. Where the hours are allocated will directly affect the capacities on the planning
model itself, as seen in the next few screenshots.

4. The next few screens show the planning model itself, allowing movement of colleagues between
tasks and chambers as well as giving live capacities matched against budget targets. This allows the
operation to adjust ‘on the fly’ and see how this impacts the budget requirements for each shift.
