We were shownexamplesof story-boardsusedinbigfilms,suchasTaxi Driver,furtheringmy
knowledge onstory-boardsandhowtheyhave beenusedinthe industryforyearsprevious.
Furthermore we were alsoshownside-by-sideclipsof the story-boardsnexttothe specificscene
afteranimation,showingusas the audience the processinwhichgoesintomakingeitherstop
motionor animatedclips,forexample Shaunthe SheepandWallace andGromit.
ListeningtoSamHorton talk,I learnedmore aboutstory-boardingingeneral.Before hearingthe
talkI didn’tknowa lotabout the context,Ionlyknew how to make themto a certainextent.
Upon listeningtohimspeak,Inowknow more about story-boardinginthe industryandwhythey
are created.SomethingwhichIdidn’tknow previouslywasthatsome animator’sinthe industry
act out the scenesinreal life,tofurtherpicture the scene andto make changesif needed.
Somethinghe tolduswasthat workinginthe industryyoushouldalwaystake notesandask
questions,whichissomethingIcan applyto myfuture career,no matterwhichpathI choose to
take.
