Investigation Of A Crime Scene
must take the measurements of the area roped off, and if there is evidence on the ground or
anywhere, that specialist must make a two point measurement, which means, take two
unmovable objects of that area like a door or an outlet and measure how far they are to the
evidence. The sketcher must also draw everything else in the crime scene in order for the
computer in the forensics lab to get the most accurate measurement. If there is a crime in a
small town that doesn t have a crime scene unit then a detective will have to carry out all these
tasks while also interviewing witnesses and tracking down suspects to solve the crime. For
detectives to get DNA from a person the detective must get a warrant unless they perform this
technique. When detectives are interviewing a suspect but know they don t have enough
evidence to get a warrant for DNA sample the detective can gather evidence from objects the
suspect may have come into contact with in the interview room. When the detective interviews a
suspect they will give the suspect a glass of water hoping that the suspect will drink out of it and
the detective can then send that glass to the forensics and get the DNA tested that is on the glass
and see if it is a match to the crime. Other methods detectives will use is asking the suspect to lick
an envelope closed or offer the suspect a cigarette and get the DNA of the cigarette butt. This
method of obtaining DNA will stand in court because they did not obtain the DNA

What Is The Relationship Of Relationships And...
RELATIONSHIPS THESE DAYS
In a world characterized by loneliness, alienation, and isolation, admirable relationships have
become increasingly rare. Today we have social media, but the noticeable part is Facebook posts
tweets and blogs just seem to provide more opportunities to display how dysfunction we really are?
Networking might be increasing the number of those with whom we are connected but those
connected are more superficial. Our physical presence has been replaced by texts, voice messages,
snapchats and video calls. We don t feel the needto spend time together anymore. We have too
much of each other already. There s nothing left to talk about. These days insecurity in our
relationships and anxious about intimacy we look to technology ... Show more content on

Zechariah Essay
Zechariah
Zechariah is one of the Minor Prophets of the Old Testament. His book is located between the
books of Haggai and Malachi. Zechariah is thought to have preached from about 520 518 B.C.
The book of Zechariah deals with the restoration of Jerusalem, the Temple, and God s people.
Chapter 11 verses 4 17, which is a story of two shepherds, is one of the most difficult passages in
the Old Testament to understand. From the New Living Translation, the passage reads as follows:
4 This is what the LORD my God says: quot;Go and care for a flock that is intended for slaughter.
5 The buyers will slaughter their sheep without remorse. The sellers will say, Praise the LORD, I
am now rich! Even the shepherds have no compassion for them. ... Show more content on

Instead, this shepherd will eat the meat of the fattest sheep and tear off their hooves. 17 Doom
is certain for this worthless shepherd who abandons the flock! The sword will cut his arm and
pierce his right eye! His arm will become useless, and his right eye completely blind! quot; The
commentary Obadiah through Malachi begins by commenting on the ambiguous nature of the
passage. This vague language makes it very difficult to interpret; thus the details remain elusive.
The author feels that this passage goes in accordance with the earlier situation described in
Zechariah 10:3. In both passages it is made clear that the leaders (shepherds) of Israel have made
the Lord angry. Zechariah is describing the social disorder and the peoples dishonesty toward each
other that has overwhelmed the community before it will be restored by God. This commentary is
certain that the doomed flock is in fact Israel, but is unsure whom the sheep merchants represent.
Their guess is that they may be the workers in the temple who have hired Zechariah. The shepherd
is understood as symbolizing a ruling, most likely a prophetic one. Zechariah is telling his
audience that Israel is in total disarray and the leaders aren t doing anything to help, in fact some
are making the situation worse. God is permitting the corruption by sitting on His hands. While
doing so, he stresses the need for repentance so the corrupt community may be restored. The prophet

The Problem Of The Healthcare Crisis Essay
There is a sad sort of irony these days when using the phrase healthcare. Is the focus truly on the
health or care of the patients any longer, or on the potential earnings of insurance companies and
other stockholders?
Since the introduction of the third party payor concept decades ago, the industry has set the stage
for insurance company management of healthcare. This paradigm has ensured that the costs of care
remain high while the quality has diminished.
What (or Who) is Behind the Current Crisis?
Singling out one specific cause of the healthcare crisis is like trying to name one thing that s wrong
with boy bands there are simply far too many things to point to.
If we had to list some of the reasons consumers and providers alike are finding it difficult to
navigate the current landscape, we would include things like reimbursements being fixed at
lowering rates, overhead expenses increasing for physicians, a constant influx of insurance and
government mandates, more paperwork and bureaucracy in medicine in general, malpractice
litigation, understaffing of hospitals and private practices, complex policies leading to lack of
interoperability, and diminished patient and doctor engagement.
There is also the fact that the industry has become increasingly fragmented. Consider that nearly
50% of healthcare spending in this country is publicly funded by federal, state, and county level
governments through various entitlement programs such as Medicare, Medicaid, and the

A Field Of Study Like Criminal Studies
It is extremely difficult to construct a completely new theory in a field of study like Criminal
Studies because of how much work has been done in the research of the many topics included
under the umbrella of Criminal Studies. It is really interested to read and learn about the many
different approaches that theorists have taken to analyzing and understanding criminality and its
causes or correlates. Because of the many avenues that have already been studied, it is quite
difficult for a theorist to bring new light to topics in the Criminal JusticeField. Some of the best
theories have grown out of critiques of other theories. Theorists describe what is missing from a
theory and effectively try to find out more about that lack of... Show more content on

This theory tries to hone in on why some of these juveniles commit crimes and provides an avenue
for children to reduce the likelihood of crime. Because of the large umbrella that they cover in
Criminal Studies, the Deterrence Theory and the Social Bonding theory have been studied and
examined by many theorists throughout the years. The Deterrence theory focuses on the
punishment for the crime. There are many factors that go into understanding in the planned
response for a crime will actually deter the offender from wanting to commit the crime. There are
two types of deterrence each aimed at a different population of offenders. General deterrence is
aimed at the entire population in the surrounding community. General deterrence says that if the
punishment for an offender s crime is severe enough, it should deter other people in the area from
wanting to commit the same crime and have the same punishment given to them. The other type of
deterrence is specific deterrence, which is focused on the individual offender of the crime. Specific
deterrence explains that based on the punishment given to an offender for a crime, that offender
would be less likely to commit the crime again. When describing deterrence it is important to
remember three factors: likelihood of being caught, the likelihood of being convicted of the crime,
and how severe the punishment actually is. Theorists refer to this as the certainty and severity of
punishment (Mendes 2004).

Children in Hospice
Research suggests that every year there are between 100,000 to 150,000 children born in the
United States with a genetic disorder or defect. This represents approximately 20% of infant deaths
each year. However, many of these children live to age well beyond the expectation, and some are
enrolled in hospice. According to Armstrong Daily and Zarbock (2001), The concept of hospice
today is applied to patients who are traveling through the final stages of their lives in effect seeking
shelter and comfort. Hence, the main focus of this program is to prepare families for the death of a
loved one. Although accepting these ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Even when hospitalized, parents must be prepared to fight for the right of their child to live
because many medical professionals give the impression that any effort would be useless. Many
parents are even willing to care for the child within the home but there are no resources available
to assist with care other than nursing. This should be a key area for concern as the patient is
expected to live six months in most cases and it is more than enough time to prepare for the child s
death. When that time has passed and the child is still progressing, one is only left to wonder the
next step. At this point, time spent creating memories with family should be top priority.
It is my recommendation that the health care community implement a network of resources for
parents who are not willing to accept and grieve but are willing to accept and fight to prolong the
life of their child. Resources and information should be readily available to assist with any type of
services that would bring relief for situations ranging from housing to therapy. Medical
professionals also should be required to take a course in patient relations giving some insight into
the emotional turmoil that many parents experience. This probably would change some parent s
perception of the medical profession because discretion and empathy would be used when
providing information about the child s condition. Any feelings of hopelessness may be eliminated
and replaced with feelings of relief

The Nature Of Theatre In EuripidesBacchae
In Bacchae, Euripides explores the nature of theatre through Dionysus confrontation with his mortal
royal family, who has denied him a place of honor as a god. Euripides employs costume and choral
narration to portray Dionysus as a director of his own play and a patron of art, illuminating the
spiritually intoxicating and transformative nature of theatre.
The prologue introduces Dionysus, setting the scene of the drama while inviting the audience to
examine the nature of theatre through metatheatrical elements of the play. Dionysus introduces
himself to the audience and declares, I have changed from divine to human form, and here I am (5
6). Through Dionysus disguise, Euripides alludes to the use of theatre costume. Furthermore, at the
close of the prologue, Dionysus directs the chorus on stage:
Now come, my sacred band of women,
That came with me from the bulwark of Lydia,
Mt. Tmolus, companions in my journey from abroad.
Take up the drums, the native drums of Phrygia, the ones I discovered, I and Mother Rhea.
(55 59)
In this moment of theatrical self consciousness, Dionysus transcends the narrative of the story. He
is a director of the play rather than the protagonist and not only guides his religious followers, but
the actors of the performance.
While theatre allows actors to assume the psyche of another character, Dionysus, similarly, provides
his worshipers the freedom to take upon a new persona and achieve spiritual ecstasy and revelation
through theatre.

Summary Of Poem For Happiness
In life we assign meaning to everything. We construct ideals for ourselves, and then frequently
fail to uphold our own decrees. We lazily allow meanings to run together and they lose their
value. We become so focused on the ideal of something that we lose sight and understanding of the
purposeful and essential things going on around us each day. In Poem For Breakfast, written by
Geoff Bouvier, and The Art of Happiness, by Mary Ruefle; loss of meaningin everyday life is
explored. Through forms of repetition and concept connection, these authors build discursive and
dramatic structures which serve not only to organize their poems but also to question the way
society lives in accordance with the meanings it creates. In Poem For Breakfast, author Geoff
Bouvier links each stanzatogether with internal connectors, just as paragraphs in an argumentative
essay are smoothly joined by transitions. This form of connection allows him to continually
question the meanings of words while still moving forward logically and expanding his argument.
In the first stanza Bouvier claims that Everything is food, and then explains and refutes his own
statement, immediately starting the process of questioning meanings. The second stanza expands
upon the first theme of food, beginning with the claim: Food is also called fodder. Bouvier again
immediately refutes his claim, remarking that calling food fodder [is] like a misspelling where they
let it keep the same meaning. While allowing a

They persecuted doctors, lawyers, police, and former military. They even prosecuted Buddhists,

Max Klein s near death experience had a positive outcome in his life. As stated in the Rominger
article, most individuals who go through a near death experience or spiritual development of
some kind, do so with a smooth transition as they venture along their path. I see Max s spiritual
emergence as a positive one as he begins to see and witness the things around him with more
clarity. He views his experience as very real and as he tries to connect his inner self and inner
thoughts, he leaves one conscious level that he has cultivated for so many years to join a different
state of consciousness. While doing this Max experiences conflicts. It is in this new state, in which
he transforms to temporarily, that Max witnesses the world around him

All I really need to know I learned in kindergarten
All I really need to know I learned in kindergarten is a short essay by Robert Fulghum explaining
in detail everything we learned in kindergarten and how it is all we really need to know in life. The
text by Robert Fulghum explains the human flaw of getting so caught up in finding meaning and
purpose to life, that we do not recognize that all we need for a successful life has already been
taught to us, in kindergarten. This meaning is demonstrated throughout the text by the use of,
imagery, tone, and structure.

The essay is written, for the majority of it, in such a way that it is simple enough for a
kindergartener to read and understand. Important text is bolded in the very first paragraph as the
author want us to know right away what he is trying to tell us. In kindergarten we were exposed to
lists, so instead of writing out everything we learned in a long confusing paragraph, Robert
Fulghum creates us a list. It is almost as though he wants us to feel like we are kindergarteners
again, as we read text written in a childish manner even full of grammar mistakes like learn some
and think some and draw and paint and sing and dance and play and work every day some .
However, as we get to the part of the essay explaining how we can apply these simple lessons into
our adult lives, the grammar becomes formal and uses fancy words such as extrapolate to give the
text a new meaning, a more professional mature meaning. To connect these two very different
aspects of our lives, the childish one, and the adult one, the author creatively manipulates us into
believing what he is saying. Without this detailed use of structure the text would not seem as
convincing nor as pertinent. If the text explaining kindergarten morals, was written formally it
would not seem as important as to us, it may seem below our adult ways of life . Contrary to that
if the part explaining how these rules could help our families, friends, and

One issues that was mentioned in the historical material was the idea of sexuality, as it stated
Sexuality of all stripes was on trial (1936). Homosexuality was something not yet discussed
openly at this time, so it was a new concept for sexuality to be talked about in literature. Woolf
was more open about sexuality in Mrs. Dalloway and it was mentioned about Clarissa Dalloway
s daughter, Elizabeth. Mrs. Dalloway comments that her daughter is fond of two things, her dog
and Miss Kilman. Mrs. Dalloway suspects that Elizabeth has feelings for Miss Kilman, though
Mr. Dalloway thinks it to be only a phase (2343). Mrs. Dalloway feels that it is more than a phase
and says It might be falling in love (2343). In the end of this discussion, Mrs. Dalloway
concludes she would have loved Miss Kilman! But not in this world. No. (2343). This line
signifies a lot about the issue and thoughts about homosexuality and sexuality in general.
Homosexuality was not an accepted idea in society during this time, though it was becoming
talked about more. As in Mrs. Dalloway, sexuality is a taboo subject and is being put on trial by

For the beginning years of American history up until around 1829, patronage was the primary
system for selection. However, social class (higher education) and ethic of fitness of character
often muffled the patronage system. Around 1829 President Jackson insisted on better
representation of all social classes. He advocated keeping government positions simple so that
individuals with a modest level of education would be eligible. Problems became clear with

For instance: When we are first introduced to Jim in his current age, he is sailing skillfully over
land, with a non diegetic electric guitar playing in the wake of his sail to accentuate his skillful
movements. The guitar leads into a full blown heroic sounding orchestral piece, halted by a
cutscene where we see Jim being essentially arrested for trespassing. This pairs the electric guitar
with Jim further establishing his rebellious nature, the opposite of what we would expect with the
exposition of Jim s character being a kind, curious, and slightly impatient child. Whenever an
electric guitar is heard after this scene, it is because Jim is doing something reclass but substantial.
The next time we learn about Jim and his background it is to the backing soundtrack of a song
written by The Goo Goo Dolls, an American rock band. With multiple themes consistently at play,

Gay Marriage in the past few years has been a topic that has been highly debated and discussed. As
with any controversial issue, there are two sides to this argument. One side, the opposition, cites
religious view points and concerns about fornication and further raisse concerns that the rights of
marriage should be restricted to heterosexual couples (Debate.org). An increasing number on this
side of the argument have recently changed their opinions over the last few years as a result of
mounting pressure from LGBTI groups. People supporting marriage equality assert that marriage is
a civil right and therefore should not have restrictions based on sexual orientation. This side firmly
believes that love, not sexual orientation, is grounds enough for marriage (Debate.org). The
supporting side seems to be the populist view point, as evidenced from the recent changes of law in
some of the most prominent countries in the world, such as America.

The Function Of Sleep Behavior
Across species, animals spend a substantial minority of their lives sleeping. In fact, humans spend
on average approximately one third of their lives asleep (Colten and Altevogt, 2006). With such
devotion of time resources and the his tells us, from an evolutionary standpoint, that sleep is an
important part of the success of an animal. But what fitness does sleep confer to an organism?
Although sleep occurs across many species of animals, the function of sleep behavior is not fully
understood. Studies might suggest that this behavior might play a role in several important
processes, such as the regeneration of tissue and energy management (Sara, 2017, Rasch and Born,
2013). Recent work in the field suggests slow wave sleep may fulfill... Show more content on

As early as the 1950s, scientists have parsed the main stages of sleep. In one such study, eye
movements, recorded by electrooculograms (EOG) correlated with the brain activity in
electroencephalograms(EEGs) as well as respiratory rate, indicating the existence of distinct sleep
states which were not randomly generated (Aserinsky and Klietman, 1953). The discovery of
distinct states showed sleep was not just a passive behavior. Instead, it consists of three to four
distinct states as well as REM (rapid eye movement) sleep, each with their own unique brain
activity.
While REM sleep has been in the scientific spotlight since its discovery for its role in consolidation
of emotional memory (Sara, 2017), recently more studies have begun to focus on the role of
slow wave sleep. Slow wave sleep (SWS) encompasses the stage 3 4 subset of non REM sleep
and is characterized by delta waves that consist of slow oscillations of activity. This type of sleep
occurs primarily at the onset of sleep and time spent in SWS declines in humans as aging occurs.
SWS seems to be most important in the consolidation phase, though the mechanisms of this
consolidation are still being explored in the scientific community. However, the method of this
memory consolidation is currently a subject of hot debate. What caused scientists to link memory
and sleep, particularly SWS? Research as early as 1914 began to point to a decrease in memory
capacity capabilities

the way the Church evolved, and sacraments, help build the backbone to the subject of
Catholicism. The experiences of people contribute to the subject of Catholicism because it
expresses that God could change the mindset and function of everyday life, suggesting that any
experience could bring people closer to God. Prior to being a Catholic social activist, Dorothy
Day lived a rather underground lifestyle and ironically had an abortion. However, after
experiencing depression, protests, failed relationships, and even suicide, she decided to convert
to Catholicism. As a result of her conversion and motivated by faith, she founded the Catholic
Worker to devote her life to the poor. Even though she helped ease the struggles of the poor and
needy, she ended up facing a lot of hardships during her lifetime as the founder of the Catholic
Worker because of her efforts, such as being jailed, suspected as a communist, and even threatened
to die. Secondly, Denis Hayes, the writer of A Ray of Hope: The Transition to a

Ms. Sanders It s time for you to open the door to endless possibilities these were the exact words
spoken to me by the program manager of the residential program at Applewood Centers Inc. It was
at this instant that I knew this was the perfect company to complete my foundation internship.
While researching organizations to intern at, I kept coming back to Applewood. This organization
has so much to offer to its participants. What really won me over with pursing this organization was
an annual meeting I attended in which a former client stood and gave his testimony about his

Nebraska Analysis
When you pick up the 1982 album, Nebraska, you get little to no indication of Bruce Springsteen
other than his name emboldened in blood red capital letters across the front. You won t find a
smirking Dylan esque portrait like the album that came before it, or a baseball cap hanging from
his blue jean pocket like the album that came after it. The black and white photo of a sprawling
country landscape coupled with the contrasting red text immediately gives the feeling of
despondence. If anything, this picture is a warning to the listener: we are alone now. The album
insert provides little to no comfort, either. There is very little reassurance in the content of this
album as a whole, but that is especially true about these pages. All you receive... Show more content

The major key and faster tempo combined with the brighter/higher vocal range creates a more
hopeful sound. Despite that, though, the imagery used is more graphic than the opening song,
Nebraska, as Springsteen opens with a description of someone poking a dead dog with a stick.
Again, similar to the entire album, the soft acoustic guitar and its repetition drive the singer s
search for understanding and meaning in something. The closing line to both the chorus and the
album itself is at the end of every hard earned day people find some reason to believe. Before
delivering that line, Springsteen plays momentarily in piano and softens his voice before he pushes
at the end of every hard earned day out in forte before fading the vocals out completely and
replacing them with the soft hum of the harmonica. Springsteen thinly veils his pessimism
throughout the song but it can t be said for sure whether he thinks it s foolish to believe in anything
at all. Early in the song, even, he claims that it struck him as kinda funny , but ultimately
Springsteen leaves the question of foolishness up to the listener to determine for

Operation Market Garden Battle Analysis
Battle Analysis: Lesson learned Operation Market Garden was the biggest airborne operation in
history. It was a real attempt to use airborne in a strategic role in Europe. Operation Market
Garden was unsuccessful Allied offensive that launched on 17 September 1944. The execution
of the operation consisted of two sub operations. An airborne forces operation, code named
Market, was to seize, and secure key bridges along the Rhine river to facilitate rapid movement
for British ground forces. A ground forces operation, code named Garden, was to link up with
airborne forces at the north of Arnhem. British General Bernard Montgomery was the brain
behind Operation Market Garden. He wanted to by pass the Siegfried Line, German massive
line of defense, by crossing the Rhine, then into the industrial area in Northern Germany and
then onto Berlin to end the war. Allied offensive was the largest airborne operation up to that
date. It consisted of 1,545 troop carriers, 478 gliders, 3,500 glider men and 16,500 paratroopers
(Fox, 1994, p.1). the initial phase of airborne forces operation was a success, however British
paratroopers failed to secure the key bridge of Arnhem. The ground forces that were supposed to
link up with airborne forces, faced fierce attacks by 88mm guns and Panzerfausts. The operation
lasted nine day, in which Allied forces fought the German forces in and around the city of Arnhem,
Nijmegen, and Eindhoven. Allied ground forces failed to advance and support the

Essay on The Importance of My Acceptance into Mayfield
The world is always changing, sometimes for that better and other times for the worst. For me,
that one change was the one thing that I d always needed. The event that changed my life was the
day I received my acceptance into Mayfield. My admission into Mayfield led on a string of
changes that helped me finally acceptwho I really was as a person and helped me appreciate the
value of friendship.
It s difficult to accept yourself when others don t, but when I got into Mayfield all of that

multiply re runs of these incidents, I began having trust issues and I no longer found the need
for friends. They began to feel more like a requirement, rather than a need, and based on the way
I used to be treated, I felt no need to value the idea of friendship anymore. However that all
changed after I got to Mayfield. I met people who showed me how important it was to have friends
and that you should always value the friends you make because true friendships are worth giving
people a chance. I was able to make friendships here that I know will last me a life time, and I was

My acceptance into Mayfield, brought on a change that has truly enhanced my life for the better.
After getting into Mayfield, I was finally able to appreciate the ambitious, spontaneous and fun

Report On Chemical Composition And Structure Of Csh
CE 2020: Construction Materials
Report on Chemical composition and Structure of CSH
Arjit Soni
ES13B1005
Introduction:
The C S H gel is the most abundant reaction product in cement, occupying about half of the paste
volume, it is also responsible for most of the properties of cement paste. This is just not because it
is a strong or stable phase but because it forms a continuous layer that binds the cement particles
together.
All the other hydration products of cement form discrete crystals that are naturally strong but do not
have good connections to the solid phases they are in contact with hence cannot contribute much to
the overall strength of the cement paste. C S H gel gets the ability of the to act as a binding phase
from its nanometer level structure.
As C S H gel grows outward from the cement particles, it does not form a single large block or
monolithic solid phase but instead develops a complex internal system of tiny pores, called gel
pores. Gel pores are hundreds or thousands of times smaller than the original capillary pores
which are relatively large. The liquid water present in the gel pores is not part of the solid C S H
phase chemically but it is physically isolated, thus it cannot undergo any further chemical reaction
with the cement.
When hydrated cement paste is observed under microscope at moderate level of magnification,
we could see two apparently different types of C S H gel. One of these gel is less dense and more
porous that appears to occupy

Dr. Faustus Essay
Dr. Faustus
Dr. Faustus, written by Christopher, is the story of a man that represents the common human
dissatisfaction with being human. He sells his soul to the devil for what he believes to be limitless
power, with full logical knowledge as to the consequences of such a transaction. He knows the
stakes of his gamble with the devil. His extensive education and his cultural environment had

Now draw up Faustus like a foggy mist. Cursed be the parents that endangered me. quot; (Marlowe
p.55)
His final damnation not only results from the immoral acts that he has committed throughout his
life, nor his contract with the devil, but rather his pride, the emotion that condemns him into eternal
hell.
Last, but not least is the prevailing quality that Dr. Faustus follows throughout the book, greed.
Because of his greed he had everything. However much it was, he wanted more. He was smart,
wealthy, and even had an excellent well respected job, but was not satisfied with all of his
accomplishments. His overwhelming greed to best and own the best led him to make his pact with
the devil. He was tempted with the ability to have whatever he desired.

Essay about Professionalism
Professionalism
The Merriam Webster Online Dictionary defines professionalism as the conduct, aims, or qualities
that characterize or mark a profession or a professional person. Yet the White Paper on Pharmacy
Student Professionalism says it is displaying values, beliefs and attitudes that put the needs of
another about your personal needs. There is still another definition. The Medical Professionalism
Project says professionalism is the basis of medicine s contract with society. It demands placing the

To help keep prestige in the pharmacy profession, family physicians should no longer prescribe
medications and should only write the ailment on the prescription. This would allow pharmacists,
who are the drug experts, to prescribe the drugs. This only makes sense to let doctors figure out
what is wrong and the pharmacist to make the correct decision on the prescription. Half the time
the pharmacist has to call the doctor anyways because they prescribed the wrong medicine or the
wrong dosage. The other allegation of pharmacists tricking patients into declining their
counseling is hilarious in my opinion. This scenario is like any other prejudice view, a couple
of bad pharmacists make the entire profession look bad. Although I have never worked in a
pharmacy, I would rather believe that a pharmacist would not do that to a patient. I have more
faith in the profession. If, however, this is a common practice, there is not really much anyone
can do about it. The only thing you can do is be the best pharmacist you can be, and if you do the
right thing people will follow you and do the right thing. Being a professional does not
automatically gain a person prestige. Prestige is earned by the amount of time and effort it took
to get to where you are at. The knowledge needed to keep drugs from interacting and making sure
people are safe should be how prestige of pharmacists is scored, not by how

An Organization Known As The Comanche Club
IN 1928, when I was nine, I belonged, with maximum esprit de corps, to an organization known
as the Comanche Club. Every schoolday afternoon at three o clock, twenty five of us Comanches
were picked up by our Chief outside the boys exit of P. S. 165, on 109th Street near Amsterdam
Avenue. We then pushed and punched our way into the Chief s reconverted commercial bus, and
he drove us (according to his financial arrangement with our parents) over to Central Park. The rest
of the afternoon, weather permitting, we played football or soccer or baseball, depending (very

In his hours of liberation from the Comanches, the Chief was John Gedsudski, of Staten Island. He
was an extremely shy, gentle young man of twenty two or three, a law student at N.Y.U., and
altogether a very memorable person. I won t attempt to assemble his many achievements and
virtues here. Just in passing, he was an Eagle Scout, an almost All America tackle of 1926, and it
was known that he had been most cordially invited to try out for the New York Giants baseball

smallest hoodlum to the biggest, loved and respected him.
The Chief s physical appearance in 1928 is still clear in my mind. If wishes were inches, all of
us Comanches would have had him a giant in no time. The way things go, though, he was a
stocky five three or four no more than that. His hair was blue black, his hair line extremely low,
his nose was large and fleshy, and his torso was just about as long as his legs were. In his leather

My Experience At The Florida Gulf Coast Lacrosse League...
With the blow of a whistle, practice comes to a grinding halt. Tired young men remove their
helmets and gasp for air in the early but oppressive Florida summer. I gather with the rest of the
coaching staff and together we prepare one of our final talks to the team before they battle in the
Florida Gulf Coast Lacrosse League Championship game. In the six months leading to this final
surge, myself and the other coaches have worked to instill four key traits into our players:
teamwork, dedication, integrity, and respect. It is these four qualities, we believe, that will
allow them to develop a fifth quality, technical competence, and take them to the top of their
sport. More importantly, it is these four traits that we believe will transform them into mature
young men and prepare them for the rigors of life off of the field. Many of my life s most
significant events coincided with my coaching career. I opened a business, went back to school,
and even met my wife. It also marks the period of my life when I began a maturation process,
albeit several years overdue. Prior to the start of my coaching, I stumbled from one phase of my
life to another, my immaturity and lack of direction fueling each other in a vicious cycle. While
coaching may not have been the event that triggered my maturation, it certainly signified the
beginning of a new era in my life, an era punctuated by a renewed understanding and appreciation
of the same traits I worked to pass onto my players. During

Listening to the family and showing interested in getting to know the members of the family as

This act imposes strict requirements on a man who is looking for a mail order bride in a foreign
country. Under the International Marriage Broker Regulation Act, the man (groom) who intends
to marry needs to provide the broker with certain information such as; personal, financial,
criminal arrest record, number of previous marriages, and number of children. (US Legal) The
International Marriage Broker Regulation Act (IMBRA) provides a strict set of rules for the men
who are wanting to marry women from other countries, such as Russia, when using the services of
an international marriage broker. Under these regulations, men that are interested in marrying
women from other countries who use a marriage broker must also provide the prospective bride
with highly personal information as well. (HG.ORG) The regulations are intended to help women
from foreign countries, because they are at a disadvantage . Some people with argue that these
rules are too invasive and some argue that information that is so depth would not be made
available to a woman in the United States entering into a mail order bride marriage in another
country. (HG. ORG) However, supporters of mail order bride relationships will point out that these
rules and regulations are to protect the safety and rights of foreign women. Typically their

Abstract
Background: Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is defined as a chronic airflow
obstruction that is progressive and only partially reversible. Today COPD is recognized as a major
killer disease and the fourth most common cause of deaths in U.S.A. Available data suggest there
are more than 12 million adults with COPD affection in India with estimated prevalence rates of
2.12% to 9.4% in north India and 1.4 % to 4.08% in Southern India1. Many studies have indicated

Materials and Methods:A prospective study was conducted at Amrita Institute of Medical
Sciences, Kochi, Kerala. Our study made use of an observational model, the case control study, to
possibly explore and confirm the association between serum magnesium levels and its influence
over exacerbation of COPD as compared to those at stable COPD conditions. The study was done
on 100 patients who were previously diagnosed with COPD.
Results: The mean magnesium values of stable COPD patients in our study averaged 2.08 and
2.06mg/dl for patients below and above 60 years of age respectively. Their corresponding mean
scores during exacerbation were 1.58 and 1.6 mg/dl respectively, which is significant.
Conclusion: There exists a significant role of magnesium during COPD exacerbation, as compared
to when they are stable.

With The Recent Election Being Highly Controversial And
With the recent election being highly controversial and contested the United States finds itself with
an incredibly volatile and inclement political climate. While the United States continues to face
social and political issues rap music and its artist have been a source to document the oppression
that is still occurring within the country. Documenting racism and oppression by using politically
charged lyrics is a method the rap community is particularly familiar. As time went on rap artists
began to become more politically informed and began to shine through their lyrics to become
sources to start a national dialogue. Rap artists like Tupac Shakur, Chuck D, Chance the Rapper,

Price: Comparison of Culture and Work The historical parallel of culture and how both received
criticisms is remarkable comparison between the two art forms. In the scholarly article,
Hegemony, Hope, and the Harlem Renaissance: Taking Hip Hop Culture Seriously author,
Robert Price, offers an excellent depiction of the similarity between the two art forms and
provides the reader with several examples of how both groups of artists had the same beginnings
and culture. Price offers a comparative analysis of the two cultures by demonstrating how both
groups faced criticism from outside sources but even faced criticism within the African
American community. Price builds upon the idea by describing the paradigm shift that both the
rap artists and the protest poets had faced. Price uses Bill Cosby as an example of a critic of the
culture rap music created and truly does not believe in the use of rap music as a political beacon
to start a national dialogue for the oppression of the African American community. After offering
Cosby as an example as a critic of rap culture Price begins to offer an analysis of a paradigm shift
between the new and old generation. Price offers an example of the paradigm shift by stating, The
generational shift at work in hip hop culture as the new ideological nexus for black culture has
implications for adult educators and administrators who need to take these cultural shifts seriously.

The War Between India And Pakistan
In the middle of 1971 the war between India and Pakistan became a must for India, there seemed
no miracle to halt the inevitable nor Allah wanted Pakistan to keep continuing with its nefarious
activities, and the entire world leaders and major powers become active to have their own slice
of flash. The intelligence agencies of USA, USSR, China, India, Pakistan and other countries
became highly active, sensitive to each and every movement in the Indian sub continent. Israel s
Mossad came out highly successful in trapping a few high govt, official of Pakistan s Defence
Ministry, and women who were regular visitors to President s House of Pakistan in Rawalpindi.
The valuable information procured by Mossad were passed on to India and Gen.Yahya Khan
never came to know the moles in his house and office. In the month of Oct. 1971, Mrs. India
Gandhi toured vigorously to Europe to make her point clear and non aggression policy of India.
For the world to know India was least interested in occupying territories of neighbourhood
countries, as projected by Pakistani rulers and media. She was able to win UK and France to
block any US move in United Nations. The role of USA in India Pakistan war is not only
interesting to note due to full of pitfalls, biased views, superior pride and an attitude uncalled for.
After a long discussion of Mr. L K Jha, then the Indian ambassador to US, regarding the position of
India in case Pakistan does not halt influx of refugees to India and is not

Richard The Third King
Richard the third was born in England on Oct 2, 1452. His father was Richard, Duke of York,
and his mother was called Cecily. When Richard s father died, his oldest brother, Edward,
became king. King Edward, who died in 1460, left Edward, Earl of Warwick, as heir to the
throne. Edward was only 12 years old so Richard was appointed as Lord Protector until Edward
became old enough to claim the throne. In June of 1483, Ralph Shaa declared that King Edward s
marriage to Elizabeth Woodville had been invalid and therefore their children were illegitimate and
could not succeed the throne. Richard then, by an act of parliament, became king. He ruled from
1483 till his death in August of 1485. Richard had always been very faithful to his brother... Show

Richard certainly had the means to murder the two brothers. They were both under his control in
the Tower of London. Richard had multiple people he could ask to kill the brothers without
anyone knowing. Although Richard had these capabilities, there would have been no real
motive for him to kill the princes. Richard would not have killed them in order to become king,
as they were declared to be illegitimate children of Edward. This would leave Richard as the
next heir. Therefore, parliament, recognizing this, set the crown on Richard in the act called
Titulus Regius. Not only did Richard have no motive to kill the prices, but it also was not in his
character to do that. He had always been faithful to his brother. On April 21, 1483, Richard
publicly swore an oath promising to recognize his nephew, Prince Edward, as successor to the
throne. Not many people then would have broken any kind of oath. Countless other people with
stronger motives than Richard could have murdered the princes. The princes could have died of
natural causes as well. It is known that a doctor was visiting the princes during their stay in the

Unity in the Body of Christ
An Exegetical Paper on Ephesians 4:1 6
Main Idea and Outline
Ephesians 4: 1 6 Paul urges the church in Ephesus to live according to what God has called them to
and to keep the unity of the Spirit. I. Paul reminds the church that they should live in unity
according to God s calling (4:1 3) A. Live a life worthy of the calling you have received (v.1) B.
Be humble, gentle, patient, and love everyone (v.2) C. Keep the unity of the Spirit through peace
(v. 3) II. Paul explains that unity comes from spiritual oneness (4:4 6) A. There is only one body
and one spirit (v.4) B. There is one Lord, one faith, one baptism (v.5) C. There is one God and...

The effect is how we live our lives to glorify God for saving us and making us new (Duvall 71).
Content
Paul reminds the church that they should live in unity according to God s calling (4:1 3)
As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received.
Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort
to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.
Paul begins his statement in 4:1 to the Ephesians by stating his imprisonment (As a prisoner for
the Lord) before saying anything else. It seems as though Paul is saying this to show that he is
literally living and dying for the sake of Jesus Christ and that he knows what they as believers are
going through. He may be saying this as a form of encouragement to the church in Ephesus
because he is physically in prison, but he is still doing everything he can to glorify God and
make Jesus Christ known. Paul could have been using a double meaning or figure of speech
when he wrote this because he was both a prisoner of Christ and a prisoner for Christ, both bound
to him by the chains of love and in custody out of loyalty to his gospel (Stott 146). Then Paul
exhorts the believers in Ephesus to live according to what God has commanded them at salvation.
We should notice that he uses past tense when he writes the calling you have received. This is to
emphasize that he is not referring to each

  • 2. Investigation Of A Crime Scene must take the measurements of the area roped off, and if there is evidence on the ground or anywhere, that specialist must make a two point measurement, which means, take two unmovable objects of that area like a door or an outlet and measure how far they are to the evidence. The sketcher must also draw everything else in the crime scene in order for the computer in the forensics lab to get the most accurate measurement. If there is a crime in a small town that doesn t have a crime scene unit then a detective will have to carry out all these tasks while also interviewing witnesses and tracking down suspects to solve the crime. For detectives to get DNA from a person the detective must get a warrant unless they perform this technique. When detectives are interviewing a suspect but know they don t have enough evidence to get a warrant for DNA sample the detective can gather evidence from objects the suspect may have come into contact with in the interview room. When the detective interviews a suspect they will give the suspect a glass of water hoping that the suspect will drink out of it and the detective can then send that glass to the forensics and get the DNA tested that is on the glass and see if it is a match to the crime. Other methods detectives will use is asking the suspect to lick an envelope closed or offer the suspect a cigarette and get the DNA of the cigarette butt. This method of obtaining DNA will stand in court because they did not obtain the DNA ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

RELATIONSHIPS THESE DAYS In a world characterized by loneliness, alienation, and isolation, admirable relationships have become increasingly rare. Today we have social media, but the noticeable part is Facebook posts tweets and blogs just seem to provide more opportunities to display how dysfunction we really are? • 4. Zechariah Essay Zechariah Zechariah is one of the Minor Prophets of the Old Testament. His book is located between the books of Haggai and Malachi. Zechariah is thought to have preached from about 520 518 B.C. The book of Zechariah deals with the restoration of Jerusalem, the Temple, and God s people. Chapter 11 verses 4 17, which is a story of two shepherds, is one of the most difficult passages in the Old Testament to understand. From the New Living Translation, the passage reads as follows: 4 This is what the LORD my God says: quot;Go and care for a flock that is intended for slaughter. 5 The buyers will slaughter their sheep without remorse. The sellers will say, Praise the LORD, I am now rich! Even the shepherds have no compassion for them. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Instead, this shepherd will eat the meat of the fattest sheep and tear off their hooves. 17 Doom is certain for this worthless shepherd who abandons the flock! The sword will cut his arm and pierce his right eye! His arm will become useless, and his right eye completely blind! quot; The commentary Obadiah through Malachi begins by commenting on the ambiguous nature of the passage. This vague language makes it very difficult to interpret; thus the details remain elusive. The author feels that this passage goes in accordance with the earlier situation described in Zechariah 10:3. In both passages it is made clear that the leaders (shepherds) of Israel have made the Lord angry. Zechariah is describing the social disorder and the peoples dishonesty toward each other that has overwhelmed the community before it will be restored by God. This commentary is certain that the doomed flock is in fact Israel, but is unsure whom the sheep merchants represent. Their guess is that they may be the workers in the temple who have hired Zechariah. The shepherd is understood as symbolizing a ruling, most likely a prophetic one. Zechariah is telling his audience that Israel is in total disarray and the leaders aren t doing anything to help, in fact some are making the situation worse. God is permitting the corruption by sitting on His hands. While doing so, he stresses the need for repentance so the corrupt community may be restored. The prophet ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. The Problem Of The Healthcare Crisis Essay There is a sad sort of irony these days when using the phrase healthcare. Is the focus truly on the health or care of the patients any longer, or on the potential earnings of insurance companies and other stockholders? Since the introduction of the third party payor concept decades ago, the industry has set the stage for insurance company management of healthcare. This paradigm has ensured that the costs of care remain high while the quality has diminished. What (or Who) is Behind the Current Crisis? Singling out one specific cause of the healthcare crisis is like trying to name one thing that s wrong with boy bands there are simply far too many things to point to. If we had to list some of the reasons consumers and providers alike are finding it difficult to navigate the current landscape, we would include things like reimbursements being fixed at lowering rates, overhead expenses increasing for physicians, a constant influx of insurance and government mandates, more paperwork and bureaucracy in medicine in general, malpractice litigation, understaffing of hospitals and private practices, complex policies leading to lack of interoperability, and diminished patient and doctor engagement. There is also the fact that the industry has become increasingly fragmented. Consider that nearly 50% of healthcare spending in this country is publicly funded by federal, state, and county level governments through various entitlement programs such as Medicare, Medicaid, and the ... A Field Of Study Like Criminal Studies It is extremely difficult to construct a completely new theory in a field of study like Criminal Studies because of how much work has been done in the research of the many topics included under the umbrella of Criminal Studies. It is really interested to read and learn about the many different approaches that theorists have taken to analyzing and understanding criminality and its causes or correlates. Because of the many avenues that have already been studied, it is quite difficult for a theorist to bring new light to topics in the Criminal JusticeField. Some of the best theories have grown out of critiques of other theories. Theorists describe what is missing from a theory and effectively try to find out more about that lack of... Because of the large umbrella that they cover in Criminal Studies, the Deterrence Theory and the Social Bonding theory have been studied and examined by many theorists throughout the years. The Deterrence theory focuses on the punishment for the crime. There are many factors that go into understanding in the planned response for a crime will actually deter the offender from wanting to commit the crime. There are two types of deterrence each aimed at a different population of offenders. General deterrence is aimed at the entire population in the surrounding community. General deterrence says that if the punishment for an offender s crime is severe enough, it should deter other people in the area from wanting to commit the same crime and have the same punishment given to them. The other type of deterrence is specific deterrence, which is focused on the individual offender of the crime. Specific deterrence explains that based on the punishment given to an offender for a crime, that offender would be less likely to commit the crime again. When describing deterrence it is important to remember three factors: likelihood of being caught, the likelihood of being convicted of the crime, and how severe the punishment actually is. Theorists refer to this as the certainty and severity of punishment (Mendes 2004). ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Children in Hospice Children in Hospice Katrina Williams RES/110 April 26, 2012 Professor James Lazos Children in Hospice Research suggests that every year there are between 100,000 to 150,000 children born in the United States with a genetic disorder or defect. This represents approximately 20% of infant deaths each year. However, many of these children live to age well beyond the expectation, and some are enrolled in hospice. According to Armstrong Daily and Zarbock (2001), The concept of hospice today is applied to patients who are traveling through the final stages of their lives in effect seeking shelter and comfort. Even when hospitalized, parents must be prepared to fight for the right of their child to live because many medical professionals give the impression that any effort would be useless. Many parents are even willing to care for the child within the home but there are no resources available to assist with care other than nursing. This should be a key area for concern as the patient is expected to live six months in most cases and it is more than enough time to prepare for the child s death. When that time has passed and the child is still progressing, one is only left to wonder the next step. At this point, time spent creating memories with family should be top priority. It is my recommendation that the health care community implement a network of resources for parents who are not willing to accept and grieve but are willing to accept and fight to prolong the life of their child. Resources and information should be readily available to assist with any type of services that would bring relief for situations ranging from housing to therapy. Medical professionals also should be required to take a course in patient relations giving some insight into the emotional turmoil that many parents experience. This probably would change some parent s perception of the medical profession because discretion and empathy would be used when providing information about the child s condition. Any feelings of hopelessness may be eliminated and replaced with feelings of relief ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 8. The Nature Of Theatre In EuripidesBacchae In Bacchae, Euripides explores the nature of theatre through Dionysus confrontation with his mortal royal family, who has denied him a place of honor as a god. Euripides employs costume and choral narration to portray Dionysus as a director of his own play and a patron of art, illuminating the spiritually intoxicating and transformative nature of theatre. The prologue introduces Dionysus, setting the scene of the drama while inviting the audience to examine the nature of theatre through metatheatrical elements of the play. Dionysus introduces himself to the audience and declares, I have changed from divine to human form, and here I am (5 6). Through Dionysus disguise, Euripides alludes to the use of theatre costume. Furthermore, at the close of the prologue, Dionysus directs the chorus on stage: Now come, my sacred band of women, That came with me from the bulwark of Lydia, Mt. Tmolus, companions in my journey from abroad. Take up the drums, the native drums of Phrygia, the ones I discovered, I and Mother Rhea. (55 59) In this moment of theatrical self consciousness, Dionysus transcends the narrative of the story. He is a director of the play rather than the protagonist and not only guides his religious followers, but the actors of the performance. While theatre allows actors to assume the psyche of another character, Dionysus, similarly, provides his worshipers the freedom to take upon a new persona and achieve spiritual ecstasy and revelation through theatre. ... • 10. Summary Of Poem For Happiness In life we assign meaning to everything. We construct ideals for ourselves, and then frequently fail to uphold our own decrees. We lazily allow meanings to run together and they lose their value. We become so focused on the ideal of something that we lose sight and understanding of the purposeful and essential things going on around us each day. In Poem For Breakfast, written by Geoff Bouvier, and The Art of Happiness, by Mary Ruefle; loss of meaningin everyday life is explored. Through forms of repetition and concept connection, these authors build discursive and dramatic structures which serve not only to organize their poems but also to question the way society lives in accordance with the meanings it creates. In Poem For Breakfast, author Geoff Bouvier links each stanzatogether with internal connectors, just as paragraphs in an argumentative essay are smoothly joined by transitions. This form of connection allows him to continually question the meanings of words while still moving forward logically and expanding his argument. In the first stanza Bouvier claims that Everything is food, and then explains and refutes his own statement, immediately starting the process of questioning meanings. The second stanza expands upon the first theme of food, beginning with the claim: Food is also called fodder. Bouvier again immediately refutes his claim, remarking that calling food fodder [is] like a misspelling where they let it keep the same meaning. While allowing a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

All I really need to know I learned in kindergarten All I really need to know I learned in kindergarten is a short essay by Robert Fulghum explaining in detail everything we learned in kindergarten and how it is all we really need to know in life. The text by Robert Fulghum explains the human flaw of getting so caught up in finding meaning and purpose to life, that we do not recognize that all we need for a successful life has already been taught to us, in kindergarten. The essay is written, for the majority of it, in such a way that it is simple enough for a kindergartener to read and understand. Important text is bolded in the very first paragraph as the author want us to know right away what he is trying to tell us. In kindergarten we were exposed to lists, so instead of writing out everything we learned in a long confusing paragraph, Robert Fulghum creates us a list. It is almost as though he wants us to feel like we are kindergarteners again, as we read text written in a childish manner even full of grammar mistakes like learn some and think some and draw and paint and sing and dance and play and work every day some . However, as we get to the part of the essay explaining how we can apply these simple lessons into our adult lives, the grammar becomes formal and uses fancy words such as extrapolate to give the text a new meaning, a more professional mature meaning. To connect these two very different aspects of our lives, the childish one, and the adult one, the author creatively manipulates us into believing what he is saying. Without this detailed use of structure the text would not seem as convincing nor as pertinent. If the text explaining kindergarten morals, was written formally it would not seem as important as to us, it may seem below our adult ways of life . This pairs the electric guitar with Jim further establishing his rebellious nature, the opposite of what we would expect with the exposition of Jim s character being a kind, curious, and slightly impatient child. Whenever an electric guitar is heard after this scene, it is because Jim is doing something reclass but substantial. The next time we learn about Jim and his background it is to the backing soundtrack of a song written by The Goo Goo Dolls, an American rock band. In fact, humans spend on average approximately one third of their lives asleep (Colten and Altevogt, 2006). With such devotion of time resources and the his tells us, from an evolutionary standpoint, that sleep is an important part of the success of an animal. But what fitness does sleep confer to an organism? Although sleep occurs across many species of animals, the function of sleep behavior is not fully understood. Studies might suggest that this behavior might play a role in several important processes, such as the regeneration of tissue and energy management (Sara, 2017, Rasch and Born, 2013). Recent work in the field suggests slow wave sleep may fulfill... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... As early as the 1950s, scientists have parsed the main stages of sleep. In one such study, eye movements, recorded by electrooculograms (EOG) correlated with the brain activity in electroencephalograms(EEGs) as well as respiratory rate, indicating the existence of distinct sleep states which were not randomly generated (Aserinsky and Klietman, 1953). The discovery of distinct states showed sleep was not just a passive behavior. Instead, it consists of three to four distinct states as well as REM (rapid eye movement) sleep, each with their own unique brain activity. While REM sleep has been in the scientific spotlight since its discovery for its role in consolidation of emotional memory (Sara, 2017), recently more studies have begun to focus on the role of slow wave sleep. Slow wave sleep (SWS) encompasses the stage 3 4 subset of non REM sleep and is characterized by delta waves that consist of slow oscillations of activity. This type of sleep occurs primarily at the onset of sleep and time spent in SWS declines in humans as aging occurs. SWS seems to be most important in the consolidation phase, though the mechanisms of this consolidation are still being explored in the scientific community. However, the method of this memory consolidation is currently a subject of hot debate. What caused scientists to link memory and sleep, particularly SWS? Research as early as 1914 began to point to a decrease in memory capacity capabilities ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The faith of the Catholicism is the belief in God, its function is to influence the world about God, and the practices involved are to serve in God s name and to worship God. The word catholic means universal , implying that everyone in the world could follow the Catholic belief. Reinforcing the fact that the word catholic means universal , many elements involved, such as one s experiences, the way the Church evolved, and sacraments, help build the backbone to the subject of Catholicism. The experiences of people contribute to the subject of Catholicism because it expresses that God could change the mindset and function of everyday life, suggesting that any experience could bring people closer to God. Prior to being a Catholic social activist, Dorothy Day lived a rather underground lifestyle and ironically had an abortion. However, after experiencing depression, protests, failed relationships, and even suicide, she decided to convert to Catholicism. As a result of her conversion and motivated by faith, she founded the Catholic Worker to devote her life to the poor. Even though she helped ease the struggles of the poor and needy, she ended up facing a lot of hardships during her lifetime as the founder of the Catholic Worker because of her efforts, such as being jailed, suspected as a communist, and even threatened to die. The black and white photo of a sprawling country landscape coupled with the contrasting red text immediately gives the feeling of despondence. The major key and faster tempo combined with the brighter/higher vocal range creates a more hopeful sound. Despite that, though, the imagery used is more graphic than the opening song, Nebraska, as Springsteen opens with a description of someone poking a dead dog with a stick. Again, similar to the entire album, the soft acoustic guitar and its repetition drive the singer s search for understanding and meaning in something. The closing line to both the chorus and the album itself is at the end of every hard earned day people find some reason to believe. Before delivering that line, Springsteen plays momentarily in piano and softens his voice before he pushes at the end of every hard earned day out in forte before fading the vocals out completely and replacing them with the soft hum of the harmonica. Springsteen thinly veils his pessimism throughout the song but it can t be said for sure whether he thinks it s foolish to believe in anything at all. It was a real attempt to use airborne in a strategic role in Europe. Operation Market Garden was unsuccessful Allied offensive that launched on 17 September 1944. • 29. Report On Chemical Composition And Structure Of Csh CE 2020: Construction Materials Report on Chemical composition and Structure of CSH Arjit Soni ES13B1005 Introduction: The C S H gel is the most abundant reaction product in cement, occupying about half of the paste volume, it is also responsible for most of the properties of cement paste. This is just not because it is a strong or stable phase but because it forms a continuous layer that binds the cement particles together. All the other hydration products of cement form discrete crystals that are naturally strong but do not have good connections to the solid phases they are in contact with hence cannot contribute much to the overall strength of the cement paste. C S H gel gets the ability of the to act as a binding phase from its nanometer level structure. As C S H gel grows outward from the cement particles, it does not form a single large block or monolithic solid phase but instead develops a complex internal system of tiny pores, called gel pores. Gel pores are hundreds or thousands of times smaller than the original capillary pores which are relatively large. The liquid water present in the gel pores is not part of the solid C S H phase chemically but it is physically isolated, thus it cannot undergo any further chemical reaction with the cement. When hydrated cement paste is observed under microscope at moderate level of magnification, we could see two apparently different types of C S H gel. One of these gel is less dense and more porous that appears to occupy ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In the six months leading to this final surge, myself and the other coaches have worked to instill four key traits into our players: teamwork, dedication, integrity, and respect. It is these four qualities, we believe, that will allow them to develop a fifth quality, technical competence, and take them to the top of their sport. More importantly, it is these four traits that we believe will transform them into mature young men and prepare them for the rigors of life off of the field. In the scholarly article, Hegemony, Hope, and the Harlem Renaissance: Taking Hip Hop Culture Seriously author, Robert Price, offers an excellent depiction of the similarity between the two art forms and provides the reader with several examples of how both groups of artists had the same beginnings and culture. Price offers a comparative analysis of the two cultures by demonstrating how both groups faced criticism from outside sources but even faced criticism within the African American community. Price builds upon the idea by describing the paradigm shift that both the rap artists and the protest poets had faced. Price uses Bill Cosby as an example of a critic of the culture rap music created and truly does not believe in the use of rap music as a political beacon to start a national dialogue for the oppression of the African American community. After offering Cosby as an example as a critic of rap culture Price begins to offer an analysis of a paradigm shift between the new and old generation. Edward was only 12 years old so Richard was appointed as Lord Protector until Edward became old enough to claim the throne. In June of 1483, Ralph Shaa declared that King Edward s marriage to Elizabeth Woodville had been invalid and therefore their children were illegitimate and could not succeed the throne. Richard then, by an act of parliament, became king. He ruled from 1483 till his death in August of 1485. Richard had always been very faithful to his brother... The effect is how we live our lives to glorify God for saving us and making us new (Duvall 71). Content Paul reminds the church that they should live in unity according to God s calling (4:1 3) As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. Paul begins his statement in 4:1 to the Ephesians by stating his imprisonment (As a prisoner for the Lord) before saying anything else. It seems as though Paul is saying this to show that he is literally living and dying for the sake of Jesus Christ and that he knows what they as believers are going through. He may be saying this as a form of encouragement to the church in Ephesus because he is physically in prison, but he is still doing everything he can to glorify God and make Jesus Christ known. Paul could have been using a double meaning or figure of speech when he wrote this because he was both a prisoner of Christ and a prisoner for Christ, both bound to him by the chains of love and in custody out of loyalty to his gospel (Stott 146). Then Paul exhorts the believers in Ephesus to live according to what God has commanded them at salvation. We should notice that he uses past tense when he writes the calling you have received. This is to emphasize that he is not referring to each ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
