The document discusses how digital technologies are disrupting traditional business models. It notes that the largest taxi company owns no taxis, the largest media owner creates no content, the most valuable retailer has no inventory, and the largest accommodation provider owns no real estate. It explains that incumbents often respond slowly to disruption due to existing investments and business models. Successful responses identify a disruptor's strengths and advantages while charting the path of disruption. The extendable core, which allows disruptors to maintain advantages while improving, is key. New platforms like Airbnb rethink traditional assumptions about value creation and consumption in industries like hotels.

FITT Toolbox: Entrepreneurship in Residence ProgramFITT
The idea of an Entrepreneur-In-Residence originally comes from the venture capital industry. It is a position or title typically held by an experienced entrepreneur or business professional. As this entrepreneur or business professional typically is very experienced in a particular area, his or her expertise is often very valuable to venture capital firms, universities or other organizations especially in the case these organizations would like to develop activities in that particular area. The Entrepreneur-In-Residence program helps a newly formed technology company to have access to the right person to manage it and take it forward.

Digital leaders are expert at identifying those business moments which can lead to meaningful Interactions - Interactions which connect people, places, businesses and things. In tomorrow’s digital era; dynamic, digital algorithms which are nurtured and directed by Data will be at the core of those Interactions. When things connect with business and people vast amounts of rich data is always generated. What companies do with that data will determine how well they maximise the opportunity presented by digital business.

Information is replacing technology as the most critical business asset.
And so business leaders must make the data around and within their business ecosystem the centre of new planning, funding and revenue models.

Today more than ever, corporations are faced with a vast array of choices about where to invest to grow and prosper. There are also mounting pressures to perform and little room for errors when deciding on their portfolio’s investment mix. Poor project management can lead to huge financial losses and increased risk. Executives and senior managers are learning how effective project portfolio management is a key ingredient to building value while taming uncertainty, not to mention preserving their own reputation and tenure.

Oracle Innovation Management - driving success through aligned InnovationFrancois Thierart
Innovation Management is the selection and translation of the best ideas and inventions into profitable offerings for customers.
The problem is not a shortage of ideas, but a breakdown in the selection and translation process, combined with the “pull of the past”.

Removing Uninteresting Bytes in Software FuzzingAftab Hussain
Imagine a world where software fuzzing, the process of mutating bytes in test seeds to uncover hidden and erroneous program behaviors, becomes faster and more effective. A lot depends on the initial seeds, which can significantly dictate the trajectory of a fuzzing campaign, particularly in terms of how long it takes to uncover interesting behaviour in your code. We introduce DIAR, a technique designed to speedup fuzzing campaigns by pinpointing and eliminating those uninteresting bytes in the seeds. Picture this: instead of wasting valuable resources on meaningless mutations in large, bloated seeds, DIAR removes the unnecessary bytes, streamlining the entire process.
In this work, we equipped AFL, a popular fuzzer, with DIAR and examined two critical Linux libraries -- Libxml's xmllint, a tool for parsing xml documents, and Binutil's readelf, an essential debugging and security analysis command-line tool used to display detailed information about ELF (Executable and Linkable Format). Our preliminary results show that AFL+DIAR does not only discover new paths more quickly but also achieves higher coverage overall. This work thus showcases how starting with lean and optimized seeds can lead to faster, more comprehensive fuzzing campaigns -- and DIAR helps you find such seeds.
