Computer –Based Training
Technique
Contd.….
Flexibility :It gives trainees to
learn when they want to ,when
it is more convenient for them.
Controlled : computer deliver
only the training they have
been programmed with and in
the manner the have been
designed to deliver it. This
reduces chances of error.
Advantages of computer Based
Training
Reduces training costs :the greatest
advantages of CBT is reduction in the cost
of travel, training facilities , hotel rooms
,meals , trainers and employee time.
Just in time :easy access to training means
workers can immediately apply knowledge
and skills to the job ,thus quickly improving
the performance.
Contd.…
 Self Pace: each learners can progress at his/her
own pace.
Contd.…
Availability:  if computers are not available
training  can not be given.
Technical support necessary: multimedia
always require hardware and software
electric supply and surge protectors are key.
Poor access: many learners do not have
access to computer network.
Disadvantages of Computer Based
Training
Contd.…
 Poor  knowledge: wide spread of computer
literacy and fear of computer still exist in many
settings.
