The NEC Digital Platform Identity Management Services (IdMS) provide a single API
to perform identity validation using multimodal biometric, biographic, and contextual
information for 1:1, 1:Few, or 1:N searches. IdMS aggregates events and identity information
while enabling decision-making capabilities for users across a spectrum of federal
operations and mission sets.
The NEC Digital Platform Access Management Services provide multi-factor identity
authentication services by fusing biometric and other data, including geo-fencing,
mobile sensing, historical events, and transaction risk. Fusing data results in a highly
accurate, trusted identity authentication tailored to address specific use cases while
reducing identity fraud and lowering overall risk of loss. NEC’s Access Management
Services integrate with popular access control providers’ solutions without introducing
a new platform to manage users and policies.

In response to the COVID 19 pandemic, we extended the NEC Digital Platform to support
integration with thermal sensors. Pairing these sensors with our face recognition solution
provides the ability to identify—and track, if desired—individuals with EBTs throughout
facilities. This initial EBT screen—a touchless assessment—can indicate the need for a
secondary, conventional temperature check to confirm the individual’s health status.

A high throughput solution for demanding environments, Express delivers accurate,
touchless enrollment, verification and identification management using NEC’s world-leading
face recognition algorithm. Federal agencies can use Express for access management to
verify identities with face images in an enrollment database.
Intelligent Perimeter Intrusion Detection
Using optical-fiber-sensing and machine-learning-based AI, NEC’s Intelligent Perimeter
Intrusion Detection System (iPIDS) secures all types of borders and facilities. With the
latest detection technologies, iPIDS can detect threats with high accuracy and probability
detection and provide covert, instant and simultaneous classification and location of
intruding personnel, vehicles, machines and aircraft. iPIDS is even resistant to strong wind,
heavy rain and snow, dense fog, lightning and explosions, meaning federal personnel will
not waste resources investigating false alarms.
NeoFace Express Flow
Built on the NEC’s longstanding Express product line, Express Flow uses multiple cameras
to capture the highest quality face images in a crowded environment. Best for busy thor-
oughfares, agencies can configure Express Flow to monitor only specific locations, such as
doorways or security checkpoints in transportation hubs, for touchless access to facilities
and touchless face image acquisition.
NeoFace Thermal Express
Using AI-enhanced video and thermal analytics, Thermal Express is an elevated body
temperature (EBT) screening solution that can simultaneously verify identities with face
recognition while detecting body temperatures. Thermal Express can help federal agencies
hygienically monitor employees and civilians for possible elevated body temperatures,
mitigating the potential spread of disease. Thermal Express can even include face
recognition to help federal agencies with contact tracing, or identifying who a potentially
infected individual may have come into contact with.

To support post-event analysis, scene processing uses face recognition and other
computer vision technologies to detect faces, crowds, humans, animals and objects.
Combined with biometric matching in the cloud, AI, edge sensors and centralized
processing, scene processing can also analyze behaviors and detect abandoned objects.
These powerful tools enable operators to identify threats from massive amounts of
video in seconds.
NEC Enhanced Video Analytics
The NEC Enhanced Video Analytics (EVA) solution is a scalable, extensible, and
cloud-ready video analytics component of the NEC Digital Platform that accepts inputs
from video cameras and other sensors, and then passes these streams through various
algorithms (e.g., face recognition, face analysis, object detection, automobile identification
and analysis, etc.) to produce alerts and reports that users can view, or export to other
systems (e.g., incident management systems).
Travelers can check in at self-service kiosks, drop luggage at bag drops, move through
security checkpoints, and board their flight—all without requiring their boarding pass or
ID card. Security and check-in wait times are greatly reduced, efficiencies are optimized,
immigration and customs are seamless, and travelers get to their destination quicker—all
while maintaining a touchless environment.
In addition to providing support for traditional on-premises solutions, the NEC Digital
Platform can be deployed on private or public clouds. Our cloud solutions can be
deployed on a private cloud hosted by NEC or the agency, or they can be deployed
on public clouds, such as Amazon Web Services or Microsoft® Azure. We also offer a

The NeoFace eGate quickly and accurately verifies travelers’ identities though the
capture of face images, ideal for TSA checkpoints as well as customs checks at airports.
The face image is then matched against passport images and security watchlists. With
its unparalleled matching speed, integration with airlines departure control systems, and
