NCO NotesNCO Notes
• I expect leaders/supervisors at ALL LEVELS to communicate my intent,
train,mentor, and ensure the safety of your Airmen
• Frontline supervisors
– You absolutely shape the squadron how you want to and INFLUENCE the airmen
• They are a reflection of you
• United front is huge with shop NCOICs / shop chiefs and up
– ID problems and suggest fixes
– Leadership WILL consider your inputs in the overall decision made
• Vigorous / enthusiastic discussion behind doors
– Once the decision is made and the door opens = all on same page!
• You have to be right & set the standard
– “Is that the standard?”
• Teach them to make sound decisions
• If you see problems @SNCO/officer level, bring it up
– Supervisor honesty required up and down (EPRs too)
• BL: Be the expert, teach the airmen how to do what you do
– Squadron performance & morale is directly related to you guys!
• 3 Questions
– What is the problem?
– What have you done to try to fix the problem?
– What is the roadblock?
