Nature And Nature Essay
Nature
Nature has a great effect on individual. I was connected to nature in so many ways, especially in
my youth days. Looking deep in to nature, I came to understand that nature is also a part of science
which consist of the plants, animals and human being ways of life.
During the season, I was always derived a great joy walking the wild for miles looking for which
tree to harvest, sometimes from morning to sunset. Meanwhile, as a little child I relied on nature
for recreation, having lived in a forest region of south Nigeria, I had access to wide grown trees for
different kinds of seasonal fruits which I always look for forward to. However, there was always
that feeling of familiarity identify different shrubs. What about the...show more content...
Nature also plays a great role in the access to nutritional food as it is in the sea and river we have our
supplies of different types of fish and other sea foods.
More importantly, all these afore mentioned activities are what we take for grant but with time
humans has grown careless with usage of the resources of nature, greed set in. however, the
population explosion comes the natural assets and comes the war against our natural environment.
People deforestation because of agricultural activity, over fishing in our rivers and the seas.
Meanwhile, with the increase in population comes the plundering of the natural resources which if
allowed to continue unchecked, will continue to have a devastating effect on our natural
environment. Although, we have started experiencing some of the effect of global warming. For
examples, extreme weather condition like hurricane and draught in some part of the world.
Recently, the hurricane Harvey that just happened in Houston, being a Houstonian, the experience
is still a great shock to me because, seeing the wave destroying lots of houses being damaged and
lives been taken away, it was a great disaster. Nature as made me to understand that rise in sea
level, is a result of melting of ice especially in polar region. However, the effect of these change to
the natural environment is one form of human social unrest. Meanwhile, there are some social
unrest in some part of the world (Africa and Middle East) which has caused

Essay On Nature Observation
For this nature observation final, I went to my Grandparent's farm. They live on the countryside.
Once my mother dropped me off, my grandmother and I took off to go on their hills they have on
their land. We have to walk along the side of the road to get to a gate that leads to all the land and
cow pasture. As we enter the cow pasture, right at that moment, I felt alone even though my
grandmother was with me. I left all my stress and thoughts that I had and felt relieved that I'm
spending the weekend by myself in my own world. As I'm walking, the grass hits me and makes a
little swish sound that blends in with the little wind that's blowing across the air and fields. I was
thinking about the wind for a minute. I thought that if the wind wasn't there the tall grass
wouldn't be entertaining me right now by waving hello at me. The grass felt thick and strong. I
was swinging my hand across the tip of the grass. That felt good to my hands. It was like the grass
was giving my hands a massage. As I'm walking up, we step across mud and a little creek.
Stepping on mud is very satisfying because of the squishy sound it makes. Not only do I hear
squishy mud but I hear the waters in the creek flowing rapidly across the fields. It isn't a strong
sound but it's light enough to put you to sleep. All I thought in those moments was how beautiful
this scene is and how I want to live here with my grandparents. All over the fields there are fences
my grandfather built for the cows. The whole

My Nature Reflection
I went outside for about an hour Sunday, because that was all I could handle. Outside and I do
not mix, because I do not like dirt or bugs or wild animals. While I was outside and not thinking
about how much I did not like outside I was thinking about how I was feeling good about my
family outing later in the day and how were we going to have an exciting time together going to
Mint Hill for farm equipment and Concord Mills Mall for some shopping afterwards. During this
time I thought about why my family does not go on many outings such as this, and I came up with a
few reasons. One, my mother and father are older and cannot physically take such a long trip very
often; and two, we do not have much money to do such big trips as we once did. Reflecting on
these reasons made me feel a little down trodden about having older parents, but at the same time
I was also glad for having older parents because not going somewhere every week makes each trip
more special. Feeling grateful for my parents, since they are just about as close to perfect parents
as you could get, I started thinking about what I might do after I move out on my own. I was
thinking where I would like to move, or need to move for college and a career. I want to go into
small business and own my own bakery. The market for a specialty bakery, such as the one I want
to run, would not do well in Denton. I would have to move to a larger city, such as Charlotte or
even somewhere such as New York City, for my business to

Reflection Paper On Nature
Nature is a multitude of things due to its essence as an abstract idea. At one point nature can
encompass the world, life, and everything in–between. While at the next moment, it can transform
into a qualitative description of inherent features, humans and their activities. While it holds an aura
of mystery, Nature can simultaneously be likened to concrete ideas and things. Throughout history,
nature has taken on different forms and meanings depending on which period is studied. My view of
nature closely resembles that of the current era. I believe nature is an environment devoid of human
intervention or corruption, yet a place that remains an integral spirit of humanities' interaction with
the world around them. This is due to the...show more content...
Life and death are delicate strings that weave through our daily lives. Like a balance tipping the
scales of the cosmos, nature's life provides enrichment for future generations and civilizations.
Diverse species of plants and animals scour the Earth, each one of them strikingly different to the
very fiber of their DNA. Nature is life in its rudimentary form. From the primitive life of plankton to
the intricate behaviors displayed by primates, nature's life is present everywhere. I share the current
era's view that humanities' existence is equal in importance to the most insignificant member of an
ecosystem. The continuation of life is bound by species' interdependence for nature's resources.
Without harmonious cohabitation, nature's life would cease to progress. Even as the last plumes of
smoke die down in the burnt forest, buds and vegetation begin to sprout and flourish, giving life to
the dependents of its ecosystem. Images of greenery, saplings, and offspring cross mymind when
nature is mentioned. In recent years, nature has developed colloquial meanings as a living entity.
Phrases like, "save mother nature" or "nature is dying" are usually used to describe the state of the
ecosystem we live and share. Nature is a mother, nursing her young back to health.
Due to recent achievements in human development, the current era views intelligence as an endearing

Environmental Fundamentals
Introduction
Environmental science is defined as the study of the environment and the interconnecting systems it
contains, furthermore, the way people interact with their natural surroundings and use natural
resources (wise geek, 2013). Scientist in this field is highly interdisciplinary and extremely diverse,
for example, a scientist might study volcanoes or climate change. This essay will cover the
following; the definition of environmental science, the relationship between science and technology
and how it affects environmental problems; the concept of environmental sustainability and why it
should be studied; how human...show more content...
Environmental Sustainability
Environmental sustainability is the process of making sure current processes of interaction with the
environment are pursued with the idea of keeping the environment as pristine as naturally possible
based on ideal–seeking behavior (Wikipedia, 2010). What makes environmental sustainability so
important is that it demands that society designs activities to meet human needs while indefinitely
preserving the life support systems of the planet (Wikipedia, 2010). Human consumption can only
use the nature's resources at a rate that can be replenished naturally.
Human Values affecting Society
The most devastating environmental change of all is the loss of biodiversity. The rate of species
extinction has remained at one species per million per year, furthermore, the accelerating destruction
of habitats throughout the world leads to projections of the loss of two–thirds of all species on earth
by the end of this century, and millions of years to recover from the Cretaceous period
(mindfully.org, 2013). As individuals, we obtain our food, directly or indirectly from plants, for
example, plant our primary use of medicines. Biodiversity also determines the properties of
communities and ecosystems, which capture energy from the sun. The world is less resilient, more
homogeneous, less interesting, and with fewer opportunities for our descendants and ourselves:
where the process reaches

Persuasive Essay On Nature
Despite what mankind would like to believe, humans are animals. As multi–celled organisms, we
consume other organic matter, change the land for own uses as a beaver would build a dam, and as
other mammals, we are all fed breast milk from our mothers when we were young. Yet there is this
disconnection and alienation of the human race towards other species. Moreover, through fear of
taking action, the convenience provided to us if we simply choose to ignore the environment, and the
alienation of other species that are endangered by our actions, the hostile and uncaring attitude of
humans towards nature is the core reason for many of the problems in our environment today.
As a 17–year old teenager going to high school, contrary to the environmental activist, David
Suzuki's, remarks about the ignorance of humans about nature, I receive much information about
these kinds of problems at my school, from dedicated assemblies, eco fairs and special days that
address our responsibility to deal with nature in a more responsible fashion. Yet, when the school
day is over, all of the information seeps out of the roof of the school; plastic water bottles are still
found in the corners of hallways and leftover Tim Hortons cups are still present in the desks of my
former Business class. Even when I step inside the door of my house, the disconnection from nature
is apparent. Most of my time at home is spent looking at a screen and doing homework and the only
sign of nature would be the fly

Using Nature to Relieve Stress Essay
Using Nature to Relieve Stress
Hectic and busy lives seem to be the norm and a major part of today's world. People are always
rushing to get things done, whether it is a project deadline or just keeping up with the pace of life.
These time constraints are usually related to external influences in our lives – work, school, traffic,
family, friends and/or life in general. All these factors create drama in life and lead to stress;
however, some people have higher levels of stress than others. Stress is not healthy; in fact, it has
been proven to cause serious health problems such as heart disease, high blood pressure, depression
and even death. Sometimes, people just need to get away from the stresses of life, do something
...show more content...
All a person needs to do is get away from the hustle and bustle of life, escape to a quiet solitude of
nature and let their senses be overwhelmed with relaxation. All five senses can enjoy what nature has
to offer.
Not all people are convinced that nature has that affect and works to relieve stress. Two
interviews were conducted with Morehead State University students while preparing this subject
and paper. James Clements from Waddy, Kentucky states he gets stressed from school, his professors
and mainly just everyday life. He believes nature is a great place to get rid of his stress. He makes
sure to get "back to nature" everyday. He doesn't try; rather, he makes it a part of his everyday
schedule. One way he relieves stress is to go running in the Daniel Boone National Forest where
there are no traffic lights, billboards, telephones, computers, deadlines, cars and very few people. He
is studying to be a geologist, so he will also go on short one day field trips to find places to relax
and study – he says it helps him retain and learn the information better. When he gets really
stressed out, he will go on backpacking trips for a few days or even up to a week. He feels like he is
discovering a new world and getting to see things he hasn't seen before when he is alone with
nature. He says that when he is gone for the longer periods, he misses his family and friends, and it
helps him to realize how valuable they are to

Wildlife Conservation Essay
They are responsible for cleaning the air most living creatures breath, they give humans and animals
material to build homes and buildings with, they help keep the dirt in place, and, among many other
uses, they gave humans the material that people use every day, paper. They do all this for humans,
and all they need in return is for their young to be planted. If you have not guessed by now, this is
describing trees. It is vital for humans to maintain not only the trees population, but also the
population of all wildlife. Wildlife conservation is important because regulates wildlife population,
helps balance the ecosystem, and maintains the natural beauty for future generations. People mostly

Also, when the deer population is too high, farmers crops become damaged by the deer, as well as
there are more deer killings by car ("Deer" par. 1–10). It is important to keep track of an animals
population in order to make sure that the negative side affects do not occur. Sometimes it means
keeping one species in its own habitat and preventing it from expanding into habitats that are not
its own. Species who manage to do this are called invasive species. Species such as the Lionfish.
Lionfish are not a native species to the Atlantic Ocean. They are a venomous, fast reproducing fish
that are aggressive eaters and will eat almost anything in copious amounts. They eat so much that
they will actual become obese and contract liver diseases. They have no know predators, besides
humans. Because they have no predators, once introduced to a reef, they can wipe out 90% of it.
"The lionfish invasion is probably the worst environmental disaster the Atlantic will ever face" said
Graham Maddocks, president and founder of Ocean Support Foundation ("Lionfish" Par. 3). Lionfish
are especially dangerous to ecosystems, because the native aquatic life–forms do not have a natural
instinct to be wary of the lionfish. Some may wonder, "how did the lionfish become introduced to
the Atlantic ocean?". Well, Florida pet owners are to blame. Lionfish are most known for their
beauty, which makes them valuable as pets. However, they are violent fish and tend to attack and
kill other fish in the

One way he relieves stress is to go running in the Daniel Boone National Forest where there are no traffic lights, billboards, telephones, computers, deadlines, cars and very few people. He is studying to be a geologist, so he will also go on short one day field trips to find places to relax and study – he says it helps him retain and learn the information better. When he gets really stressed out, he will go on backpacking trips for a few days or even up to a week.
