National Integration Essay
Crafting an essay on the theme of national integration is no simple task; it demands a nuanced
understanding of the multifaceted aspects that contribute to the cohesion of a diverse nation.
This topic requires delving into historical, cultural, social, and political dimensions, navigating
through a labyrinth of perspectives and weaving them into a cohesive narrative.
National integration, as a subject, calls for an in-depth exploration of the challenges faced in
unifying a nation with diverse languages, religions, and traditions. The essay must carefully
balance the celebration of cultural diversity with the promotion of a collective national identity.
Striking this equilibrium requires a keen awareness of the potential pitfalls, as discussions
surrounding unity and diversity can be delicate.
Addressing the historical context is imperative, as it helps in tracing the evolution of the nation
and understanding the milestones and hurdles in the journey towards integration. This involves
meticulous research and analysis of various historical events that have shaped the collective
identity of the nation.
Furthermore, a comprehensive national integration essay should incorporate current social and
political realities. Discussing contemporary issues related to identity, inclusivity, and social
harmony adds relevance and depth to the essay. The ability to critically analyze the present and
project a vision for the future requires a careful balance of optimism and pragmatism.
Language plays a pivotal role in conveying the nuances of the topic effectively. The essay should
be articulate and persuasive, guiding the reader through the intricate tapestry of national
integration with clarity and coherence. Additionally, the language should be sensitive to the
diverse perspectives within the nation, avoiding any potential biases that may arise.
In conclusion, tackling the theme of national integration in an essay demands intellectual rigor,
research prowess, and a delicate touch in handling diverse viewpoints. It is a challenge that
requires a writer to navigate through historical narratives, contemporary issues, and linguistic
nuances to provide a nuanced and insightful perspective on the subject.

Marijuana Should Be Legalized In The United States
Marijuana has been prevalent in the United States of America since its birth in 1776.
Currently, there is a prohibition on marijuana, similar to the prohibition of alcohol
from 1920 to 1933. Most arrests in the United States are first time nonviolent
offenders who are in possession of the illegal substance, due to this prohibition.
Despite being illegal at a federal level, Colorado and Washington have passed laws to
legalize medicinal and recreational use of the substance. On top of that sixteen other
states offer medicinal marijuana, including the nation s capital, the District of
Columbia. Marijuana should be legalized in the United Statesof America as a whole,
because of the amount of revenue that it would generate, the medicinal benefits that it
can offer to those who are sick, and the legalization would stop the incarceration of
nonviolent offenders who wish to use marijuana.... Show more content on

According to The Encyclopedia of Criminal Justice Ethics, by Bruce Arrigo, a
study by the National Household on Drug Abuse and Health reported that 18.1
million Americans are current users ( par 1). This is a solid chunk of the America

to legalize marijuana for legal use and Jacob Sullum states in Americans Love Pot

Factors of Poverty
Factors of Poverty
No one universally accepted definition of poverty exists because it is a complex and
multifaceted phenomena. Poverty is borne out of economic factors that include a lack
of access to secure employment, insufficient income, and a lack of assets, especially
that of real estate. There are social structural elements and psychological factors that
both contribute to, and have a tendency of perpetuating poverty. While both of these
contribute to poverty they are very different from one another. Social psychological
factors are attitudes and values held by all citizens regardless of economics and are
the sum total experiences, which have molded the individual s mind set. These
experiences may bias an individual in a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

the future of those living in poverty. In my opinion, education is one of the most
difficult factors for the children of poverty to overcome by no fault of their own.
Jacksonville Florida Community Health Center
Community health centers play a critical role in providing health and social services
to low income and medically underserved communities. Health centers capacity to
give far reaching essential care and enhance access to superb care while holding
down social insurance cost development has been recorded. As healthreform goads
coverage extension and endeavors to enhance quality, the country s dependence on
health centers is prone to develop. In the Affordable Care Act (ACA), Congress
contributed $11 billion to the growth of community health centers program for the
next five years. The idea is to widen access of care in lower income communities as
coverage extends. As policymakers and others gear up for ACA execution,

The black populations make up most of those who have died with 215.2 % for heart
disease, 177.4% for cancer, 51.7% for stroke and 45.7% for diabetes. Duval County
also has a high number of HIV/AIDS cases with 22.5% versus the state high of
14.8%. For the many community health centers throughout Jacksonville, Florida the
data provided is alarming when it comes to the health of the community. Many of
these numbers are so high due to the different barriers that makes it difficult for many
to seek proper and adequate care from their local community health centers. Many of
these barriers include low income, lack of insurance, not enough providers and no
transportation. Florida health centers also faces a unique challenge with reaching
special populations . These groups include families and individuals who are homeless,
immigrants who are undocumented and their dependents, individuals in public
housing and Native Americans. These groups also have to deal with the additional
challenges of language and cultural barriers, geographic and social isolation, no
knowledge of the healthcare system, social stigma, inadequate living conditions, and

Riding the Red
I ve told her and I ve told her: daughter, you have to teach that child the facts of life
before it s too late (Hopkinson 1). These are the first three lines of Nalo Hopkinson s
short story Riding the Red , a modern adaptation of Charles Perrault s Little Red
Riding Hood . In his fairy talePerrault prevents girls from men s nature. In Hopkinson
s adaptation, the goal remains the same: through the grandmother biographic
narration, the author elaborates a slightly revisited plot without altering the moral:
young girls should beware of men; especially when they seem innocent. This modern
fairy tale contains diverse characters but none of them are as important as the
grandmother. In fact, through her narration the reader gets the basic... Show more

In Hopkinson s story, experience is central as it leads to potential complications
the grandmother tries to avoid for her granddaughter by telling her personal story.
The mother opposes her mother s urges for protection and tells her it is not
necessary to frighten her daughter because girlie s too young yet, there s plenty of
time. (2). The mother sees her mother s personal story as a ghastly old wi[fe s]
tale[s]. (1 2) therefore there is no rush to inform her child on dangers, but also
because she believes her girl is too young. This opposition between both characters
links to a broader opposition between two different ways to report events: on the
one hand this story could be based on realistic facts when on the other hand it
contains allegories and a moral which are features of fairy tales. This text mixes
both types which revels Hopkinson s style, designated by herself in a 1999
interview with Gregory E. Rutledge, as speculative fiction and defined by Jewelle
Gomez in her article Speculative Fiction and Black Lesbians : I conflate the terms
science fiction and fantasy fiction under this rubric [Speculative Fiction] because
each in its own way addresses human concern with the future, with magic, and with
the preternatural. (949). The story borrows its
Harley Davidson Financial Ratios
Harley Davidson Inc. is an American motorcycle manufacturer. Founded in
Milwaukee, WI, USA, during the first decade of the 20th century, It has become
one of the most formidable players in the US motorcycle industry. Harley
Davidson holds 50.2% of the motorcycle market share in the US. Demand for
motorcycle is elastic hence Harley Davidson cannot price fix. This memo will
analyze profitability, liquidity, leverage, cash flow and investment valuation of
Harley Davidson through various financial ratios and give a recommendation.
Profitability was analyzed through profit margin analysis, ROE and ROA based
on financial statements of the fiscal year of 2013. Gross profit margin and
operating profit margin were 44.1% and 21%, respectively and also the net profit
margin was at 13.6%. From the numbers stated above we can infer that in every sales
dollar for Harley Davidson in 2013, there are roughly 0.44, 0.21 and 0.14 cents of
gross, operating and net profit, respectively. ROE and ROA were 26.4% and 8.4%
for the end of 2013 Q4, respectively.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The current ratio for the fiscal year of 2013 was 1.59 and quick ratio was at 1.42.
From these two numbers we can infer that Harvey Davidson is doing well to
ensure they have enough liquid assets to pay of short term debts, even without
selling off inventory. Harley s liquidity ratios have remained above 1 for the last 6
years in spite of recent economic downturns, which is impressive and encouraging.
Debt to equity ratio for the fiscal year of 2013 was 2.0, which indicates Harley
Davidson leverage is average at best. There is precarious amount of leverage, but this
might have happened because of the undertaking of new investments like expanding
the business internationally and expanding product line. It is possible that Harley
Davidson is borrowing money to finance these investments hence making the
company less
Argumentative Essay On Drugs
Truth Serums have been widely used as a so called zombie drug in many articles. In
the 1920s, Robert House, a doctor from Texas, identified the drug as a means to
extract information. In the next epoch, barbiturates including sodium amytal and
sodium pentothal were introduced. Many feel that in the light of the sudden growth
of crime in the world, these drugs should be used as an identification element in
criminal investigation just like how the former CIA officials and Indian Judicial
officials utilized it. However, Advocates strongly oppose the idea to enforce such
method on the public. Both sides believe they are in the right and the other is wrong,
but the point still remains that this so called truthserum is a drug that should not be
used in any situation.
The way truth serums act is like any psychoactive drugs used to obtain information
from those unable and unwilling to do so; it causes people to become uninhibited and
talkative. In 1922, it occurred to Robert House, a Dallas, Texas, obstetrician, that a
similar technique might be employed in the interrogation of suspected criminals, and
he arranged to interview under scopolamine two prisoners in the Dallas county jail
whose guilt seemed clearly confirmed. Under the drug, both men denied the charges
on which they were held; and both, upon trial, were found not guilty. Enthusiastic at
this success, House concluded that a patient under the influence of scopolamine
cannot create a lie ... and there is no power to
Analysis Of The Movie The Hunger Games
In District 12 of Panem, 16 year old Katniss Everdeen is walking to meet her
friend, Gale, a boy she seems to like, in the woods so they can do some hunting for
food. As she s walking, she thinks about her mother and her younger sister, Prim,
who is 12 years old. They have depended on Katniss for food ever since their father
died in a mine explosion when Katniss was 11. It s the day of the reaping, which is
very stressful because it determines which boy and girl, ages 12 to 18, will serve as
the district s tributes in the Hunger Games. Each of the 12 districts must draw two
tributes, and those tributes are sent to an arena where they fight to the death until
only one tribute remains alive. The victor s district is given gifts, mainly food, and
the victor returns home. The Capitol of Panem puts on the Games to remind and
punish the 12 districts of the Dark Days, which was when the 13th district was
destroyed for attempting to rise up against the cruel and merciless Capitol. The
reaping begins and Prim s name is drawn. Katniss freaks out and volunteers to take
her place, making her District 12 s girl tribute. The boy tribute s name is drawn
and it s Peeta Mellark, who is the baker s son and the same age at Katniss. Katniss
remembers, when they were children, Peeta saw her starving outside in the rain and
gave her a burnt piece of bread that his mother had told him to feed to their pigs.
Katniss wonders how is she supposed to kill him in the Games after he was so
Dred Scott and Slavery
Dred Scott was a man that grew up in the tough times of slavery. Scott was born
around the year 1800 and died in 1858. As a young man and all the way up to his
death he tried several times to gain freedom for his family and himself through the
Missouri court system, but failed. Scott then took his case to a court in Missouri,
where he won only to have the final decision revoked by the Supreme Court ( Dred
Scott Biography ). The notorious outcome of Dred Scott v. Sandfordcase embarked
the start of the Civil War in the United Statesagainst the northern states and the
southern states. Dred Scott was born as a slave in the state of Virginia around the
year 1800. His owners for most of his young life were Peter and Elizabeth Taylor
Blow. In 1818, the Blow family and some of their slaves including Scott moved to
a cotton plantation in Alabama where they lived for the next twelve years ( Dred
Scott ). In 1830, the Blow family and there slaves relocated to St. Louis Missouri.
The Blow family had given up plantation farmers and decided to open a hotel called
the Jefferson Hotel ( Dred Scott ). In the next two year both Peter and his wife
Elizabeth Blow died and Dred was sold to U.S. Army doctor named John Emerson
were he became his servant ( Dred Scott Biography ). Soon after Scott was sold to
Dr. Emerson they both traveled to Fort Armstrong, Illinois where they resided for
the next three years. This was the first time in Scott s life that he was considered a

The Incident Of The Hall University Campus
The events that occurred on the 20th of January in the year 2000 on the Seton Hall
University campus were truly tragic. Although the reason of the dormitory fire was
because of a prank that had gone very wrong that does not change the heart
breaking statistics it carried with it afterwards. This event changed the lives of
both the people directly involved and the people who were close to those involved
as well as caused enormous changes to the community surrounding the incident.
Leading up to the dormitory fire of that cold January morning that claimed the
lives of three young adults, left over 50 others with serious injuries, and left many
others in the cold wondering what had happened to their classmates/friends there
had been a series of false fire alarm pulling s. Some students were used to the false
fire alarms and just figured it was another prank although this time had a
completely different outcome. One of the residents that lived a few doors down
from the lounge that the fire had broken out in stated that she thought somebody
was drunk and pulled the alarm (Barry). Her thoughts of someone falsely pulling
the alarm quickly changed when she looked outside her door and saw clouds of
thick black smoke. The young woman previously quoted above and her dorm mates
were among the lucky ones who got out unharmed. Some of the others who weren t
as lucky were being harmed by the fire with burns on their bodies although it didn t
spread past the lounge area where it

How Jaguar Regains Its Reputation

Case Study: How Jaguar Regains its Reputation
Jaguar Cars, Ltd., is one of the most famous luxury automobile manufacturers in the
world. With its sleek lines, leather interiors, and smooth engines, Jaguar is the car
of choice for wealthy brokers who work on Wall Street in New York and the
nouveau riche in Japan who shop on Tokyo s Ginza. The driving force behind Jaguar,
William Lyons, was born on September 4, 1901, in Blackpool, a town in the county
of Lancashire, England. Uninterested in academics as a teenager, he was on the verge
of entering the shipbuilding industry when his father encouraged him to work at

The partnership was dissolved, Walmsley resigned, and a new company, SS Cars,

offered the sale of its stock to the public on the London Exchange. Lyons become the
chairman and managing director of SS Cars. He assumed total control of all its
operations. Although the sidecar business remained lucrative, Lyons kept careful
watch over this portion of the firm, and thought it best to organize its operations as an
entirely separate entity, called the Swallow Coachbuilding Company, in 1935. With
the administrative duties out of the way, and a reorganization of the company
complete, Lyons turned his attention to advertising. He wanted a brand new name for
his cars that would capture the imagination of the motoring enthusiast. The Nelson
advertising agency, hired by Lyons to create a new image for his automobiles,
selected the name Jaguar.
The first SS Jaguar 100 was introduced in 1935 and, as the company dropped the SS1
and SS2 product lines, sales for its new unit increased dramatically. The firm s first
all steel car was brought out in 1937. It featured a broader body, overhead valves, and
a choice of 3.5, 2.7, or 1.8 litre engines. The 3.5 litre model was the company s first
car to reach 100 mph. Armed with a work force of over 1,500 in Coventry, by August
of 1938 SS Cars, Ltd. was producing more than 5,000

hospital have a system which that make all department of it connected to each other.
2 A system does something: any system have same thing to do to achieve their task,
this process is called output or transformed it may be tangible or in intangible for
example the hospital intangible output which is the health of the patients.
3 System have a boundary and an environment: In order to know what are located
within the system we must set boundary to the system which represent the degree of
interaction between elements, Everything that does not fall within the circle of the

Historical And Environmental Aspects Of Theology
Ecological theology focuses on the scientific and environmental aspects of theology.
It tries to determine the proper relationship between nature and humans from a
religious perspective. Throughout history, Christians have turned to the Bible for
advice on almost every aspect of life, but only a select few have been asking
questions about caring for the environment. The recent environmental crisis has
caused an increase in interest for this type of theology over the past fifty years.
Certain passages from the Biblecalls Christians to love and care for each other and
ultimately for the environment. Advocators for creation care have found verses in
the Bible that suggest that God calls us to protect the Earthand serve as temporary
stewards. Ecological theology seeks to find the answers to how Christians can
remain true to God s will in a time of environmental destruction and what exactly is
the Christian ecological responsibility. Throughout the old testament and the new
testament there are a multitude of verses that relate directly to the role God calls
christians to play regarding the environment. Some of the verses can be interpreted
differently and the variety can lead to confusion about Gods true will. However, If
Christians choose to look closely at the Bible they can find very specific sources
that support the need to care for God s creation. Leviticus 25:23 states The land must
not be sold permanently, because the land is mine and you reside in my land as
Causes Of The Mexican Salamander ( Axolotl )
Mexican Salamander(Axolotl) Imagine walking down by a river in Mexico and
for an odd reason you get this feeling to look into the water next to you and out of
the corner of your eye you see this small animal emerging out of the water. You are
terrified and see a small dragon like salamander but, all it wants to do is be your
friend. The Mexican salamander is considered to be one of the most exotic animals
out there due to it having a rare condition that only occurs in their family. They are
only found in certain areas, they have some of the most interesting color schemes,
and are the most studied salamander out there.
The Mexican salamander or the Mexican Axolotl is known by a lot of different names
but these two names are what it is commonly known by. The family that it lands in
is the tiger salamander family. Scientist have also considered it an amphibian
which means it is also related to frogs and toads. It is commonly mistaken as a
lizard or a reptile due to it having a lizard like body shape. It was founded in 1789
in Mexico City in lake Xochimilco and lake Chalco but due to lake Chalco posing
a threat as it could flood a nearby city they drained it to prevent this problem in the
future. The water temperature in Xochimilco rarely rises above 20 C (68 F) though
it may fall to 6 to 7 C in the winter and perhaps lower (42 44) (Mexican). They can

A Brief Biography Of Susan B. Anthony
Susan B. Anthony lived in a time where there were very few rights for women and
African Americans. A strong woman, Anthony was a famous suffragist, often
credited with gaining the right to vote for women, an abolitionist as well as a writer.
Her life was devoted to finding equality for all Americans and she had a significant
impact upon the history of America.
Susan Brownell Anthony was born to a Quaker family on the day of February 15,

Analysis Of Along The Coast By Alfred Thompson Bricher
The artwork titled Along the Coast by Alfred Thompson Bricher was painted in the
year 1880. This particular work is composed of oil on canvas though the dimension
were not specified at the Museum of Fine Arts in Saint Petersburg, Florida. The
overall focus of this painting is landscape in along a northeastern seacoast in the
United States. To begin, the formal element of line can be seen throughout this
artwork and helps the audience understand the dimensions and viewpoint the
audience Bricher grants his audience. The first noticeable line is defined by the
shoreline giving the paintingdepth and expressing distance. There is also a line
along the bottom of the seaside cliff that allows the audience to further understand
that this painting is of a three dimensional landscape. Moreover, where the blue sky
meets the grey and black of the cliff provides an outline for the physical landscape
the artist wished to capture and defines the space it occupies. Also, the line
outlining where the water is located provides an outline for the entirety of the shore.
Furthermore, another formal element of art that appears in this work is space.
Bricher was able to transform his two dimensional depiction into a window to a
three dimensional space by simply manipulating his audience s point of view. In the
foreground, the artist rendered the images of the beached seaweed, rock formation in
the water, and rowboat with comparably great detail. As the viewer s eye travels up
the physical

self doubt and peer pressure, I was able to become an average producer. I receive
over two million views on my youtube channels and over a million views on my

During school, I always receive notifications from. different people asking for a
unique beat or to license one that they took interest in. I fell in love with making
beats and I was ecstatic to find out that there was a career that could further

The Theme Of Mistaken Identity In Fantomina And A Tale
Of...
In the books Fantomina and A Tale of Two Cities, the theme of mistaken identity is
very prominent. In Fantomina, the main character, the author does not provide her
real name to the readers, changes her identity multiple times throughout the story. In
A Tale of Two Cities, two of the main characters, Charles Darnay and Sydney Carton,
look very similar, therefore, throughout the story they are mistaken for each other
multiple times. Both of these novels showcase the theme of mistaken identity and
disguise as well as the different consequences the characters get in the different texts.
In Fantomina, the author allows the theme of mistaken identity to be seen through
the protagonists many different identities. The first identity the main charactertakes on
is Fantomina, the prostitute. Now this identity not only changed her physical
identity but it also changed her moral identity. When meeting Beauplaisir,
Fantomina depended on the Strength of her Virtue, to bear her safe thro Tryals
more dangerous than she apprehended this to be, and never having been address d
by him as Lady, was resolv d to receive his Devoirs as a Town Mistress, imagining a
world of Satisfaction to herself in engaging him in the Character of such a one,
and in observing the Surprise he would be in to find himself refused by a Woman,
who he supposed granted her Favours without Exception (Haywood 44). Before
she met Beauplaisir she was determined to keep her virtue, as can be seen in the
quote. Although, as she took upon the role of Fantomina, she did not uphold her
morals. Evidently, her taking on the role of being a prostitute was not the best idea
if she wanted to keep her virtue, but nevertheless, she did it anyway just to get the
man she wanted. Her losing her virtue shows that by taking on her identity as
Fantomina, her moral identity was altered. The case of mistaken identity can be seen
in a physical aspect in A Tale of Two Cities
. In this novel, the two characters Sydney
Carton and Charles Darnay have uncanny similarities. The two characters could not
be any less similar personality wise but the resemblance from the outside is
incredible. Many people noticed the similarities between them, especially when they
were in the same
The Theme Of Plot In Sweat By Zora Hurston
In her short story Sweat , Zora Hurston uses plot to expose the theme that what goes
around comes around. Plot is an author s careful arrangement of incidents in a
narrative in order to achieve a desired effect. In Hurston s case, the desired effect is
shaping the theme of the story. Throughout Sweat , all of the events are carefully
thought out in order to show the reader that Sykes got what he deserved, therefore
creating the theme what goes around comes around. The main highlighted events in
this plotare the verbal conflict that Delia and Sykes have, the town scene where
Sykes is being discussed by local townspeople, Sykes bringing home a rattlesnake,
and Sykes getting bit by the snake.
The first major incident in the plot of Sweat is a verbal conflict between Delia and
Sykes in the beginning. It starts with Delia being scared with a bullwhip by Sykes.
She reacts in fear, saying, Sykes, what you throw dat whip on me like dat? You
know it would skeer me... (Hurston). Delia and Sykes go back and forth about how
scared Delia is scared of snakes, and how Sykes purposely wants to scare her.
Delia, however, stays calm until she seizes a skillet and strikes a defensive pose.
Sykes is shocked, so he just leaves the house, slamming the gate after him
(Hurston). At this point in the story, the reader gets a good idea of the relationship
between Delia and Sykes. The reader knows Delia and Sykes are opposites, Sykes
badness outlines the good, hardworking side of Delia. This first scene serves as
rising action to get to know the life of Delia and Sykes. The theme is not yet clear,
because the plot is only beginning. However, Delia foreshadows Sykes fate at the
end of this part of Hurston s story. Delia thinks out loud before sleep when she says,
Oh well, whatever goes over the Devil s back, is got to come under his belly.
Sometime or ruther, Sykes, like everybody else, is gointer reap his sowing (Hurston).
The next scene of this story is the conversation the townspeople have. When they see
Delia, they spark a conversation about how badly Sykes treats Delia (Hurston). A
few of the townspeople comment angrily, He useter be so skeered uh lookin huh...We
oughter take Syke an dat stray oman uh his n down in
Association Between Insecure Parental Attachment And...
Association Between Insecure Parental Attachment and Depression: Adolescence and
Young Adults with and without Siblings Nearly 4 in 10 children in the United
States lack strong parental attachments (Huber, 2014). Individuals who suffer from a
lack strong parental attachment are more likely to suffer from poverty, family
instability, stress and depression (Huber, 2014). It is possible that those who suffer
from insecure parental attachment within their family are more likely to suffer from
higher levels of depression if they do not have any siblings than those who do.
Depression and Insecure Parental Attachment Depression is a disorder that is a very
prevalent disorder amongst the United States population as a whole. This disorder

From the start of childbirth, children depend on their parent(s) or caregiver(s) to take
care of their needs in life (Rodrigue Reeves, 2015). Four types of attachment to focus
on are: secure attachment, insecure resistant attachment, insecure avoidant
attachment, and insecure disorganized attachment. Secure attachment refers to when
the parent(s) or caregiver(s) are present in the child s life. Children feel comfortable
about being independent to an extent and will interact with new and familiar things
on their own in the presence of their caregiver. Separation may cause distress, due
to the dependence and attachment to the caregiver. Insecure avoidant the child does
not rely on the care giver for safety and will be precociously independent. They also
do relatively well with the caregiver being non present and opened to interacting
with strangers. Insecure resistant attachment the caregiver has the child more
focused on their presence and will avoid new experiences even if the caregiver is
present. If separation occurs, they become distress and do not cope well even after
their return. Finally, insecure disorganized attachment children show more
disoriented or strange behaviors. They will wander with no purpose and show
engagement in any activity while being distressed and confused about what they
should do or how to interact with or around the
Dysfunctional Family Systems and Disordered Self-Image
Dysfunctional Family Systems and Disordered Self Image Abstract: Disordered self
image, sense of self, and self esteem are affected negatively by dysfunctional family
systems. Maladaptive perfectionism affects mood, causes decreased self esteem, and
contributes to the development of avoidance tactics. Adolescent dysregulations
includes disordered eating behaviors and/or eating disorders, anxiety, depression,
body dissatisfaction, and extreme attempts at weight control; all of which can be
caused by child sexual abuse, maladaptive perfectionism, parental attachment issues,
and the development of alexithymia. Other dysregulations include faulty coping
mechanisms, which are also affected by anxiety, depression, and neuroticism.... Show

Indicators of dysregulation include emotional reactivity, or an excess of emotional
lability because of frequent mood swings; and psychological splitting, or an
inability to view others with both their good and bad aspects. Perfectionism,
whether adaptive or maladaptive, is linked to the quality of the parent child
relationship (Aldea Rice 2006). Significant maladaptive perfectionism can be seen
in an individual who has suffered child sexual abuse and has developed an eating
disorder or displayed disordered eating behavior. Oftentimes, the individual
identifies himself, in various ways, as not good enough, including his view of his
physical self and his view of his emotional self, causing him to develop disordered
eating behaviors or clinical eating disorders. A positive correlation between child
sexual abuse and disordered eating behaviors has been identified, as has a positive
correlation between child sexual abuse and having a diagnosis of a clinical eating
disorder. Child sexual abuse has been associated with the increase in displaying
disordered eating behaviors and/or symptoms. Abuse experiences contribute to a
woman s development of bulimia, possibly because the woman is utilizing bulimia as
a coping mechanism and an attempt to manage the emotional fallout from the abuse.
Abuse survivors are
Summary Of Oration On The Dignity Of Man
1a. Giovanni Pico della Mirandola says that human beings are free to become
whatever or whomever they may choose to be. In his work, Oration on the Dignity
of Man, Mirandola discusses how as a human being you have no limit or no bound
and may choose for yourself the limits and bounds of your nature He believes that
God created humans with no fixed position in life and that the choices they make
during their journey will define whether they fall into high or low positions on the
chain of life.
1b. Pico believes that human beings are free because they have the ability to choose
their own paths. In Oration on the Dignity of Man, he states that we should not
make that freedom of choice God gave us into something harmful, for it was
intended to be to our advantage. Representing that God created us as free beings in
having the freedom to choose. Later on in his work, he declares, Let a holy ambition
enter into our souls; let us not be content with mediocrity, but rather strive after the
highest and expend all our strength in achieving it. He regarded the most noble goal,
the goal to reach the highest position, in union to god. To choose to be next to God
was the greatest achievement.
1c. The ancient philosopher that was the most influential in Pico s beliefs was Plato.
His influence guided him away from the focus on civic life that had been such a
feature of earlier humanist thought and lead him to the belief than man could aspire
to union with God through the
People Were Disappearing From The City
People were disappearing from the city. It was a big city some of it had tall new
buildings that only a fraction of its citizens had been in. Crisp blue skies and
brand new cars, people dressed in nice suits and dresses lined the streets. Going
from the nice big buildings on the left side of the city to the right the buildings got
progressively smaller as the miles past and by the time you reached 15 miles and
you have reached the outskirts of town there was a river. It seems pleasant on paper
though along that river was inhabited by hundreds of families in close quarters,
shacks constructed from cardboard, wood scraps, branches, tar paper, glass and old
stones littered the area. The cardboard had to be replaced after every rain storm but...

The Argument Of The Logical Problem Of Evil
Introduction In this paper, I will break apart J. L. Mackie s stern defense of the
logical problem of evil, which he uses to suggest the God does not exist. I will
attempt to defend the notion that both God and evil, in the form of human creation,
can exist in the world by way of suggesting that freewill is the answer. Furthermore, I
will strengthen the argument for freewill against Mackie s defense, which suggests
that the argument of freewill also compromises the Omni three nature of God. In part,
I will back freewill by using Mackie s own logic against him. In its totality, I will
build up a strong force against the logical problem of evil, leaving room for both the
existence of human formed evil and God in this world under the... Show more content

Seemingly, the presence of evil says either God does not want all good or God is
not actually powerful enough to follow through with his desire for all good. In
either case, the only way for God and evil to coexist is if God gives up one of his
Omni Three components, which in essence makes him not God in the defined
terms. To put it another way, if God exist then by his nature, being all good and all
powerful, its only logical for the world to, also, be all good, which of course it is
not. Ultimately, Mackie uses this logic to argue God cannot exist if evil disseminated
through the universe, which it clearly does, leaving the only conclusion to reject God
s existence.
Argument
Now that s all well and good, except for the fact that the logical problem of evil
spends so much time focused on the omnipotent and the omnibenevolent aspects of
God that is all together neglects the fact that God is also omniscient. He knows
everything, past, present, and future. Therefore, it is only logical to assume that
God also knows the best way to achieve the greatest good, which as established is
the singular goal of an omnibenevolent being. If such knowledge is true, as it must
be according to the laws of Omni three, then it is possible that God has determined
that the greatest good can only come by human choice, also known as freewill, not
by His force. In a bit, I will attempt to explain just

What Does Australia Have To Offer
I chose Australia because I have always wanted to go and see the beautiful cities
and there beaches. But, what I couldn t see it that they have so much more to offer
than just the pretty picture of the Sydney Opera house or the Great Barrier Reef. In
my research I will unfold in my paper I will reveal all of the amazing things that
Australia has to offer. From land to sea this great land mass is insanely different from
the United States. Australia is a continent of mystery and contradiction. It is full of
tropical rain forest and endless deserts. It has the most beautiful beaches and the most
ancient mountains. Australia has at least one thing in common from the U.S. and that
is that it has many floods when it rains and also has droughts.
Business Meeting Etiquette
Basic Meeting Etiquette
Abstract Meeting etiquette involves all participants and the leader having respect for
each other. Meetings should be purpose driven and focused. The leader establishes
the direction and purpose the listeners should be prepared to follow along or to
provide inputs to that goal. By following etiquette appropriate for the meeting setting,
more resolutions may be accomplished in the allotted time. In a perfect world, a
group synergy may evolve to increase productivity.

Do not interrupt interaction between group members as long as it is productive.
However, direct away from counterproductive inputs or negativity. The first
responsibility is to be organized.
The group Leader, the person scheduling the meeting, and expected to chair the
group, should provide communication in the form of an Email or memo. The contents
should state why the meeting is being held, potential discussion and brief agenda.
This correspondence with a few individuals along with group announcements of what
is going on and when the meeting is will give respect to the attendees and give them
time to formulate any inputs that they may have to offer.
The group leader should continue to be an example of business etiquette by being
on time for the meeting. Not only on time, but arrive a little early for the meeting
to set up and go over the materials. To make sure one is well prepared for the
meeting before the attendees start arriving. This includes having all materials, power

at the last second to get things set up is impolite. Preparedness demonstrates a
respect of others. When a leader is ready and well prepared, the meeting will flow
well.
Additional aspects of preparation should include a prepared and perhaps revised
written agenda generated since the initial announcement for the

Nurses play many roles in today s society; they have to balance family, life, and their
job. Nursing is a very demanding profession; you are caring for the sick with limited
resources causing nurses to create unrealistic expectations (Bush, 2009). Nurses
create a tireless arrangement and emotional connections with patients, shouldering a
huge supporting role. Supporting this role causes nurses to feel emotional exhaustion
and the weight of care for patients can become overwhelming. Signs of emotional
exhaustion can cause nurse to become hostile, isolated, start crying for no reason, and
getting upset (Bush, 2009). Apathy means lack of concern or interest, as well as lack
of emotion or feelings (Bush, 2009). Exhaustion of emotional reserves can cause
nurses to become apathetic, uncaring, and preoccupied. It takes a toll psychologically
on the mind causing emotional overload before a nurse becomes numb to emotions.
Apathy eventually causes you to feel fatigued and a lack of concentration and
reduced productivity at work. Long term apathy can cause absenteeism and tardiness,
complaints by co workers and patients, and result in job termination (Bush, 2009).

The Core Arguments Of Hershey Company
The core arguments of Hershey Company in this case are very clearly stated.

signs for multiple elections. In 2002, Mr. Hershey was running for commissioner
of Queen Anne s County in Maryland. He used a design for his campaign that
looked very similar to a Hershey s chocolate bar wrapper. The background was

2010, Steve Hershey used a design that looked even more similar to a Hershey s
chocolate bar wrapper than the one he had used previously. This campaign sign
had a brown background, white bolded font, all capital letters, and included a white
border. In 2014, Steve Hershey used a campaign logo with a two toned brown
Maryland flag background, his last name in all capital bolded letters, similar font,
and underneath read, state senate. Despite having the same name, Steve Hershey is
not affiliated with The Hershey Company in any way. The Hershey Company
believed that Steve Hershey s use of their Trade Dress could cause confusion
amongst the general public. When the Hershey Company contacted Steve Hershey
for the first time in 2002, they wrote him a letter asking him to stop using the
Hershey s Trade Dress. In 2010, The Hershey Company contacted Mr. Hershey again
and urged him to stop using their Trade Dress, but they allowed him to use those
campaign signs for the primary election only. The Hershey Company and Mr.

Upon becoming a nurse she took care of many poor families in the urban
overcrowded streets of families that lived in New York. One particular case she
always told was the story of Sadie Sachs which influenced her to really do
something about women s rights and control over their own bodies. That
influenced me to pick her to write and research about her. As the story went Sanger
said, Sadie had developed an infection from an illegal abortion and begged Sanger
and the doctor to tell her how to prevent another child, thinking it would kill her.
The doctor scoffed at her remark and promptly left, leaving Sachs with Sanger. She
begged for her to tell her a way to prevent conception, but Sanger could not tell her
anything, as it was illegal, (Katzive, 2015, p. 128). She felt enraged by how she
couldn t simply help a women in need of wanting to learn how to prevent herself
from having any more children. After the incident she met her future husband,
William Sanger and together they had three children. Not only did William give
Margaret the gift of children and a family, but also gave her the opportunity to

Managing any type of project big or small is no easy task. Is a powerful
communication tool for scheduling? During my career and personal life I didn t
realize how many projects that I dealt on a daily basis because anything that you
do regardless if it is related to each other and directed toward a common goal or

In project scheduling you normally will have the finish to start relationship (Brown
amp; Hyer, 2010, pg 207). Level of details is an important development in project
scheduling, because you don t have all of the details on the project it can become a
failure. Network logic dependencies based on what is known as hard logic or soft
logic (Brown amp; Hyer, 2010, pg 206). Hard logic is mandatory for the
relationship in getting the project done; Soft logic is sequential to the relationship of
the team and what they really want to get the project on schedule (Brown amp;
Hyer, 2010). To make sure the impact of all of these concepts are keep in the
schedule of developing the project from the beginning to close. Project scheduling
tools, also known as project management software, are designed to help you
organize and manage projects more efficiently. I also think every project needs to
have a schedule and framework of their project, and have it mapped or using any of
the schedule tools that are available nowadays, Using the tools that are available will
give the project manager the visibility to have all of the team members to be

A Dream Factory Comparison Between Hepler And Barkley
You know you re in love when you can t fall asleep because reality is finally better
than your dreams. This powerful statement was made by Dr. Seuss and can relate
very specifically to the breathtaking novel entitled Dream Factory by Heather
Hepler and Brad Barkley. This book presents the authentic power of love and is a
romance that keeps the reader on the edge of their seat with anxiety to contemplate
what will occur next. It discards you with a sunny heart and joyous feelings after
reading. The book starts off with a strike organized by the Disney characters at
Walt Disney World who felt oppressed by the way things were going. So, as the
summer lugged on and numberless people were forecasted to pay a visit to the park,

This quote was by Luke, who conceives just how alike, he and Ella are. He senses
that she is like the mirror image of himself and therefore is naturally very drawn to
her. This refines the theme of love s power because Luke apprehends that Ella is
the type of girl he longs for and this triggers him to feel a connection of sentiment
between them instantly. Secondly, the text reads, But how can it be that my
parents, Cassie, and the whole world are wrong, and only Ella and I have it figured
out? (225). This statement, also made by Luke, explains his feelings of
unbelonging. He feels like an alien among his parents and his girlfriend Cassie.
They all want him to carry on his father s business and be this extravagant guy with
a perfect life , making legions of money. They basically have his future all figured
out for him. Except for the fact that he doesn t want to carry out that lifestyle and
he doesn t want his parents concocting his future. He yearns to live his own
individual life and have some say in making his own choices. His girlfriend Cassie
is always encouraging him to be proud of how stupendous his life is and how bright
the future is for him. She never acknowledges that he simply doesn t want to do what
everyone is advising him to. When he is around Ella, he feels something entirely
contradistinct. She isn t about all the planned
Similarities Between The Christian Rosary And The
Buddhist...
A religious individual may most gloriously carry out his or her own rituals, as a part
of his or her cultural identity, but the moment, that person starts to build a wall of
separation between the self and the rest of humanity, coaxed by the textual commands
of a scripture, the healthy religiousness turns into dangerous fundamentalism, which
is a threat to both the self and the society. (Abhijit Naskar). In the recent history of
our society, the actions of religious extremists have driven people apart, and hatred
has grown from a lack of ecumenism between those of different faiths. By focusing
on the differences between religions, and not on the latent similarities that inherently
exist between different faiths, people become blinded to how various religions are
all rooted in the same philosophies. However, by focusing on the similarities of
different religion, through philosophies, rituals, or teachings, we can then learn how
to tear down walls, grow as people, and become cognitive of our joint humanity. With
the necessity of ecumenical relations in our community, it serves humans to see the
similarities between the faiths that can divide us. On such similarity exists between
the rituals of the Christian Rosary and the Buddhist tradition of PrayerWheels, both
are physical guides for repetitive prayers and personal reflection and meditation. The
Catholic tradition of the Rosary is a long held practice of Marian prayer which dates
back millennia. The tradition of the
Freedom Of Speech In Political Cartoons
The editorial, weaponized words written by Kate Manne and Jason Stanley is a cry
for help in the world of politics, which argues that the freedom of speech laws allow
for the voices of dominant social groups to overpower those that are inferior. This
opinion is also shown in the third political cartoon provided, that shows two different
social groups under the same freedom of speechumbrella, who have to deal with each
other constantly trying to oppress the other. These laws make it hard for any
advancement of the lower class societies.
The belief that the freedom of speech laws, or the first amendment, need to be
more concrete can be seen in the first political cartoon. This cartoon shows, again,
two rival social groups, both are equals, however one of the social groups is using
their freedom of speech in a improper way, and they are not being punished or
prohibited in any way. This shows the oppression of a certain social group that is not
being stopped. Much like in the editorial, which states that Yale students are being
pressured into not wearing certain halloween costumes because they offend others ,
the cartoon shows the use of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The author(s) stated that to truly have freedom of speech, one must be able to
question, contradict, and even lampoon the assertions of others meaning you should
be able to disagree with another person s claims, publicly if needed or wanted. This
is shown in the second cartoon, where the NRA member is telling people, in a rude
and unnecessary manner, that he disagrees with what they are doing. At the top of
the cartoon, it states if only we had an NRA to defend the first amendment which
shows the belief that the first amendment is not getting enough support and
protection, yet smaller programs like the NRA are standing up for less important
things than the freedom of speech, like newspaper
Analysis Of Zitkala-Sa Assimilation
Zitkala Sa s Assimilation Barriers
By 1860, there were 60 missionary schools which were not known for most American
societies because they were not mentioned in the U.S. history, and there were 6200
Native Americans children in it. Cultural assimilation is the process of taking in,
fully understanding and absorbing information or ideas. There are two factors which
hindered Zitkala Sa assimilation to the European American culture. The first factor
is how people from different cultures inhabit different nonverbal sensory worlds,
and the second one is judging people based on their own culture and standards. The
story of the song ten little Indians started in a missionary school in the U.S. where
Zitkala Sa choose to study at. She was a writer, teacher, violinist, and activist for
Native American rights. She was one of the Native American who suffered
through her childhood in the missionary school, and she was treated badly from
European American in a forcing way to accept the new culture and do what they
told her to do. However, the text was categorized in three main sections each of
which is describing her life in the missionary school. Overall, Zitkala Sa did not
assimilate completely to European American culture because of misinterpreting of
non verbal signs and symbols and having the tendency to evaluate. First of all, non
verbal signs and symbols was a stumbling block to Zitkala Sa s assimilation, and it
raised the tenacity in her to rebel the new European American

how you can whip up a gourmet food without much effort.
The word Chef was derived from the French term chef de cuisine, meaning chief or
head of the kitchen. You can aim to be an Executive Chef, the one in over all in
charged. But if you think your skills aren t enough, you can settle on being a Sous
Chef first. What s important is that you cook satisfying and absolutely delectable
gourmet foods. Normally, most chefs in these cooking shows possess charming
personalities. You would not want to see one who is bathing with sweat while
cooking your yummy food, right? Among the famous chefs are Rachel Ray, Michael

The Hour Long Drive Back
The hour long drive back to the city gave both men the time they needed to cool off.
However, a moody silence still blanketed the atmosphere, making it all the more
difficult for Booker to impart the news he knew would destroy Tom s world. On
edge, he waited until Tom was sitting down in their apartment before broaching the
subject. There s something I need to tell you.
Although not surprised by the statement, the flicker of foreboding churning Tom s
stomach rose to a nervous flutter in his chest. He was about to find out what the
search had uncovered, and he had a sick feeling it was all to do with him.
Swallowing down the anxious lump that had risen into his throat, he looked Booker

reels of 8mm film, dating back to the nineteen fifties.
Horrified, Tom rubbed a finger over his upper lip. Jesus, he muttered. The
sonofabitch has been abusing minors since he was in his twenties? How deep does
this go? Is this a ritualistic practice of all the Pi Taus? Do they all grow up to be
pedophiles?
I dunno know, maybe, Booker replied absently. While the news was appalling, for
Tom, the worst was yet to come and taking a seat next to his lover, the dark haired
officer laid a gentle hand on his knee. Um, Tommy, there s something else.
With a frown, Tom s gaze darted over Booker s face, searching for answers.
Something else?
Taking his lover s hand in his, Booker delivered the news. There were two other
tapes found hidden in a safe. One with your name on it, and one with mine.
Tom s muscles stiffened, the color draining from his face, leaving him pale and
shaken. Wh What?
With a nod of his head, Booker motioned toward the two evidence bags laying on
the table. Holland videoed you when he... well, you know. I ve spoken to Fuller, and
he s giving us the opportunity not to enter the tapes into evidence. He could lose his

Essay On Group Bullying
Why do we hurt other people? Throughout history there has always been incidences
of violence towards other people. Someone can hurt another person unintentionally
or to get a message across, but the reasons why can become a long list depending on
the situation. From war to bullying, hate crimes, genocide the list of how people can
hurt others goes on. More specifically, group bullyingis a common phenomenon
people are more familiar with, hence there are many movies and books based on
bullying. Additionally, bullying or group bullying is a more day to day reoccurring
problem that individuals partake in, to which there are many possibilities why
individuals join in on group violence with bullying. I believe the reasons I am
going to state are not the only reasons, but are crucial to consider. Individuals join in
on group bullying for typically conforming to peers as gaining power is of interest to
the bullies while there is an issue of bullies not understanding their own behavior.
A factor that leads individuals to connect with others in group bullying is conformity
or the peer pressure to be included with the group bullies, which further induces
violent acts against victims. Conformity is when someone is influenced by another
person, thus the person being influenced changes their behavior to fit in with the
group. From a social psychological perspective, conformity in group bullying can be
explained by normative social influence and social impact theory (Aronson et al. 238).
Thesis Statement For Wheelchair
PROBLEM STATEMENT
There are people who are unable to walk because of different disability. Person
suffering from different form of plegia (mainly paraplegia) ,polio, amputation,
cerebral palsy, muscular Dystrophy, Parkinson disease, nervous problem, Rickets,
etc, won t be able to move their lower body parts but they will be able to move their
upper body parts including hands. So using the movement of hands or by using the
technique of gesture recognition we can help them to solve their problem to a certain
extent. This technique will help in the mobility of such people.
OBJECTIVE
To design a wheelchair using hand gesture recognition technique.

to 20m until if the person changes the directions. If the person wants to change the
direction the sensor will detect the change and will brake the system and will move
the chair in the required directions. There will be the controllers present which will
help the chair to provide acceleration up to a certain distance. The block diagram of
hand gesture controlled wheel chair is given below.

CONCLUSION
So there are different types of wheelchairs available in the market which helps in
the mobility of disabled people. A gesture controlled wheelchair with the above
features will allow the person to move in his own way or in the required directions
as the person wants. It will also provide the person an independent platform for
moving from one place to another and with the help of ultrasound sensors it will
also make sure that the person won t meet any accidents. By using this system there
is no need for a person to rely on others for his day to day

true he isn t all a dog fighter. Vick is also a great NFL running quarterback. Michael
Dwayne Vick was born in Newport Virginia. He didn t realize the skill that he had

quarterback in Virginia, he was the second because the 1st was Ronald Curry.
When Vick decided he wanted to go to college there only 2 colleges that Vick
knew he wanted to go to, those were Syracuse and Virginia Tech (VT). At the time
Vick was deciding to go to VT there was already a man that was in Syracuse and that
was Aaron Brooks. So he decided to go to VT. Because he never saw them on TV

Racial Leadership And The African American Political...
Throughout the history of United States we have had different views of racial
leadership in Afro American political thought from W.E.B Du Bois to Booker T.
Washington to Marcus Garvey who sought to lead African Americans from the
oppression they face. All three of these historical figures had different views on
racial leadership and politics as well as the vision and direction that racial
emancipation should take. W.E.B Du Bois argued that African Americans should
political, economic, and social freedom and advancement. Booker T. Washington was
more conservative in his approach in that African Americans should first and
foremost focus on economically advancing themselves first in order to seek equality
in other areas. Marcus Garvey had a... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A good example of part of the current civil rights concept is that fight for reparations
with arguments for it being that it will encourage innovation, creation, and
development of small business (Muhammad 4). As we can see the civil rights
concept of racial leadership is largely shaped by class and economic politics. The
impact of the civil rights concept towards racial liberation has been well documented
throughout U.S history due to its importance. Booker T. Washington had a different
concept of the type of liberation African Americans should seek that can be
considered fairly different from other concepts of racial leadership in that he believed
in economic autonomy being the best path towards racial emancipation. Washington
he was born into slavery and he didn t hold whites in contempt. On the contrary he
believed that because of slavery African Americans were in a stronger and more
hopeful condition, materially, intellectually, morally, and religiously (Washington 8)
than other black people around the world. Washington was a strong proponent of
industrial education for African Americans and thought they should learn skills and
trades and work hard instead of pushing for civil rights right away. Washington
believed that African Americans should seek
Catalase Lab Report
Enzyme activity is dependent on a set of optimum environmental conditions, which
allows enzymes to carry out reactions at an ideal rate (Factors affecting Enzyme
Activity | A Level Notes. 2016). This experiment investigated the effects of alterations
in pH environments and temperature on the rate of the production of foam
suspension as a representation of the rate of reaction of the catalaseenzyme, since the
peroxide catalase reaction produces oxygengas as a bi product (Johnson Matthey,
2016), which is responsible for the bubbles observed (see fig. 5). The results of this
experiment demonstrated that when considering pH conditions the catalase enzyme
reaches the optimum reaction rate at a pH of 7 (see fig. 2). Also it was found that the

This source of error could be minimised by using an apparatus that would keep the
temperature constant for example an insulated water bath that would not be affected
by the temperature and cooling factors of the room. Another source of error, which
caused the lower temperature of 4в„ѓ to have a higher observable rate of reaction
than 25в„ѓ was a methodical error where the potato was placed in the room
temperature solution before it was placed in the water bath to heat up. This was
minimised in the following experiments by placing the test tube in the water bath
then adding the potato to ensure that the true temperature of the solution was as
stated. In addition, rearranging the method again can also amend this. For
example adding the potato into the heated solution of water to allow it to adjust to
the conditions for a few seconds and then adding the peroxide to begin the
reaction. In additional, the observations of this experiment can be improved by
adding 2 3 drops of detergent to each test tube, this would allow the foam
suspension to be more prominent and therefore can be measured easier. Similar to
the pH experiment if the observations were taken in equal time intervals the for
example every minute it would be more accurate easier to deduce the rate of
reaction of the enzyme. Other more minor sources of error experienced when
measuring the effects of temperature on the pH of solution was systematic error in
measuring the height of the foam suspension using a centimeter ruler, which like
pH, introduced a (В±0.5) degree of error. This can also be minimised through the use
of a measuring cylinder, which would also minimise the chances of any solution
being lost in transfer as it is all
Voting Day Analysis
As mentioned on previous pages, the idea of having a federal holiday for voting is
not a new idea. As expressed in previous pages, in the recent years, the idea has
become popular with Bernie s Bill, The Democracy Day Act. However, in addition
there are a handful of organizations and movements that are also trying to make voting
day become a holiday. Surprisingly, Rainn Wilson created a video portraying how
antiquated the laws surrounding voting day are. The video explains why America
votes on a Tuesday and how irrelevant it is to still practice voting on that day.
Wilson also poked fun at the notorious voter identification laws which also have been
proven to be fatuous. Wilson s video helped provide a connection between how
tedious and

I can imagine Billy revisiting New York and looking at famous landmarks. Another
good addition is being able to see the perspective of the member of Judgement Day
who sabotaged the missile. Seeing the perspective of any antagonist would be
good too. It would very intrigue to see this perspective, because the closest we get
to the antagonist s perspective is Markell s suicide, and that isn t much. It is
difficult to say which part is the best because the entire book is pretty good,
although pg.166 1667 is one part in particular which is quite funny; the Judgement
Day had placed a 50 million bounty on Shepard. Soon Sheppard became the most
wanted man in the world; because of this all of the pictures of Sheppard were
destroyed. In that scene, Sheppard was looking at blogs that claimed to have
pictures of him. They were the laughable one depicted him as a muscular African
another had a 200 pound man; none of these were anywhere close what Sheppard
looked like. This scene brings some fun into an otherwise dark book, which is
rather unique. The part in which one of the 7 missiles were sabotaged by
Judgement Day and exploded before it reached the asteroid was a jaw dropper. This
part was shocking; it put the thrill into the thriller . I would recommend this book to
someone else. This is the kind of book which when you begin reading you cannot

The Blood Type And Anti Rh Serums
Abstract
The goal of this experiment is to determine the blood types of the samples given and
to learn what interactions occurred to each blood type. Determining an individual s
blood type and how it reacts with Anti A, Anti B, and Anti Rh serums played a crucial
part in this experiment. The researcher concluded that agglutination (clumping)
occurred in some of the blood samples. For example, Mr. Smith s blood reacted with
Anti A and Anti Rh serums (antibodies) allowing the researcher to determine the
blood type is A. Mr. Jones s blood reacted with Anti B serum but it did not react to
Anti A or Anti Rh allowing the researcher to believe that the blood type is B. Mr.
Green s blood reacted with all serums and caused a reaction to occur resulting the
blood type to be AB positive. Mr. Green s blood also had a positive marker for Rh
factor. However, Ms. Brown s blood had no reaction at all and the researcher
determined if no reaction occurred then the sample had no antigens but proved to
have some antibodies, resulting in blood type to be O. The purpose of this
experiment is to determine whose blood has type A, B, AB, or O.
3. Introduction
The general charactertics of blood are color, composition, and pH. The composition
of blood is determined by collecting blood from a person then it s placed in a
centrifuge which shows plasma is 55% of whole blood and 45 % is erythrocytes.
Another name for red blood cells is erythrocytes which are small sacs of blood that

Maritime War Essay
Maritime wars took a noteworthy change amid the common war. On March 8 1862
the Confederates revealed a ship that would change maritime fighting
everlastingly, making wooden body ship outdated. The Confederates set two
layers of steel plate over the structure of the Merrimack , situated ten firearms
along its side and included a smash her bow. This resilient ship in its first fight, in
the harbor of Hampton Roads assaulted five Union boats. The Merrimack renamed
the Virginia sank one Union boat, exploded another ship, and made a third run
ashore. No shots could infiltrate her shield. The unexpected thing was the
Merrimack was left to sink after the Union naval force cut gaps into it. The
Virginia s grandness did not keep going long. She was a frigate that was
surrendered by the Union naval force, and adjusted with steel by the Confederates
naval force. She was a moderate boat controlled by two old motors. It took thirty
minutes just to turn her around. Three months earlier from the assault at Hampton
Roads harbor the Union naval force was building an iron clad boat they could call
their own, the Screen . Composed by John Ericsson, this boat was assembled without
any preparation in just three months. This boat included a spinning turret, had two
eleven inch weapons and was controlled by an assistant steam motor. She was twice
as quick as the Virginia and a great deal more flexibility. On March 9, the day after
the triumph of the Virginia at Hampton Roads

  • 1. National Integration Essay Crafting an essay on the theme of national integration is no simple task; it demands a nuanced understanding of the multifaceted aspects that contribute to the cohesion of a diverse nation. This topic requires delving into historical, cultural, social, and political dimensions, navigating through a labyrinth of perspectives and weaving them into a cohesive narrative. National integration, as a subject, calls for an in-depth exploration of the challenges faced in unifying a nation with diverse languages, religions, and traditions. The essay must carefully balance the celebration of cultural diversity with the promotion of a collective national identity. Striking this equilibrium requires a keen awareness of the potential pitfalls, as discussions surrounding unity and diversity can be delicate. Addressing the historical context is imperative, as it helps in tracing the evolution of the nation and understanding the milestones and hurdles in the journey towards integration. This involves meticulous research and analysis of various historical events that have shaped the collective identity of the nation. Furthermore, a comprehensive national integration essay should incorporate current social and political realities. Discussing contemporary issues related to identity, inclusivity, and social harmony adds relevance and depth to the essay. The ability to critically analyze the present and project a vision for the future requires a careful balance of optimism and pragmatism. Language plays a pivotal role in conveying the nuances of the topic effectively. The essay should be articulate and persuasive, guiding the reader through the intricate tapestry of national integration with clarity and coherence. Additionally, the language should be sensitive to the diverse perspectives within the nation, avoiding any potential biases that may arise. In conclusion, tackling the theme of national integration in an essay demands intellectual rigor, research prowess, and a delicate touch in handling diverse viewpoints. • 2. Marijuana Should Be Legalized In The United States Marijuana has been prevalent in the United States of America since its birth in 1776. Currently, there is a prohibition on marijuana, similar to the prohibition of alcohol from 1920 to 1933. Most arrests in the United States are first time nonviolent offenders who are in possession of the illegal substance, due to this prohibition. Despite being illegal at a federal level, Colorado and Washington have passed laws to legalize medicinal and recreational use of the substance. On top of that sixteen other states offer medicinal marijuana, including the nation s capital, the District of Columbia. Marijuana should be legalized in the United Statesof America as a whole, because of the amount of revenue that it would generate, the medicinal benefits that it can offer to those who are sick, and the legalization would stop the incarceration of nonviolent offenders who wish to use marijuana.... According to The Encyclopedia of Criminal Justice Ethics, by Bruce Arrigo, a study by the National Household on Drug Abuse and Health reported that 18.1 million Americans are current users ( par 1). This is a solid chunk of the America s population that is buying an untaxed illicit substance. Colorado was the first state to legalize marijuana for legal use and Jacob Sullum states in Americans Love Pot Taxes that voters approved pot taxes three times in four years, each time by a bigger margin. (par 2). If marijuana was sold in gas stations or even just strictly dispensaries the tax revenue would be incredible. If other states followed Colorado s lead, which most likely would
  • 3. Factors of Poverty Factors of Poverty No one universally accepted definition of poverty exists because it is a complex and multifaceted phenomena. Poverty is borne out of economic factors that include a lack of access to secure employment, insufficient income, and a lack of assets, especially that of real estate. There are social structural elements and psychological factors that both contribute to, and have a tendency of perpetuating poverty. While both of these contribute to poverty they are very different from one another. Social psychological factors are attitudes and values held by all citizens regardless of economics and are the sum total experiences, which have molded the individual s mind set. These experiences may bias an individual in a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... (Economic Policy Institute; Income Picture: August, 2005) Schools, education, and family are interdependent and play a major role in shaping the future of those living in poverty. In my opinion, education is one of the most difficult factors for the children of poverty to overcome by no fault of their own.
  • 4. Jacksonville Florida Community Health Center Community health centers play a critical role in providing health and social services to low income and medically underserved communities. Health centers capacity to give far reaching essential care and enhance access to superb care while holding down social insurance cost development has been recorded. As healthreform goads coverage extension and endeavors to enhance quality, the country s dependence on health centers is prone to develop. In the Affordable Care Act (ACA), Congress contributed $11 billion to the growth of community health centers program for the next five years. The idea is to widen access of care in lower income communities as coverage extends. As policymakers and others gear up for ACA execution, understanding the part... Duval County also has a high number of HIV/AIDS cases with 22.5% versus the state high of 14.8%. For the many community health centers throughout Jacksonville, Florida the data provided is alarming when it comes to the health of the community. Many of these numbers are so high due to the different barriers that makes it difficult for many to seek proper and adequate care from their local community health centers. Many of these barriers include low income, lack of insurance, not enough providers and no transportation. Florida health centers also faces a unique challenge with reaching special populations . These groups include families and individuals who are homeless, immigrants who are undocumented and their dependents, individuals in public housing and Native Americans. These groups also have to deal with the additional challenges of language and cultural barriers, geographic and social isolation, no knowledge of the healthcare system, social stigma, inadequate living conditions, and environmental
  • 5. Riding the Red I ve told her and I ve told her: daughter, you have to teach that child the facts of life before it s too late (Hopkinson 1). These are the first three lines of Nalo Hopkinson s short story Riding the Red , a modern adaptation of Charles Perrault s Little Red Riding Hood . In his fairy talePerrault prevents girls from men s nature. In Hopkinson s adaptation, the goal remains the same: through the grandmother biographic narration, the author elaborates a slightly revisited plot without altering the moral: young girls should beware of men; especially when they seem innocent. This modern fairy tale contains diverse characters but none of them are as important as the grandmother. In fact, through her narration the reader gets the basic... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In Hopkinson s story, experience is central as it leads to potential complications the grandmother tries to avoid for her granddaughter by telling her personal story. The mother opposes her mother s urges for protection and tells her it is not necessary to frighten her daughter because girlie s too young yet, there s plenty of time. (2). The mother sees her mother s personal story as a ghastly old wi[fe s] tale[s]. (1 2) therefore there is no rush to inform her child on dangers, but also because she believes her girl is too young. This opposition between both characters links to a broader opposition between two different ways to report events: on the one hand this story could be based on realistic facts when on the other hand it contains allegories and a moral which are features of fairy tales. This text mixes both types which revels Hopkinson s style, designated by herself in a 1999 interview with Gregory E. Rutledge, as speculative fiction and defined by Jewelle Gomez in her article Speculative Fiction and Black Lesbians : I conflate the terms science fiction and fantasy fiction under this rubric [Speculative Fiction] because each in its own way addresses human concern with the future, with magic, and with the preternatural. • 7. Argumentative Essay On Drugs Truth Serums have been widely used as a so called zombie drug in many articles. In the 1920s, Robert House, a doctor from Texas, identified the drug as a means to extract information. In the next epoch, barbiturates including sodium amytal and sodium pentothal were introduced. Many feel that in the light of the sudden growth of crime in the world, these drugs should be used as an identification element in criminal investigation just like how the former CIA officials and Indian Judicial officials utilized it. However, Advocates strongly oppose the idea to enforce such method on the public. Both sides believe they are in the right and the other is wrong, but the point still remains that this so called truthserum is a drug that should not be used in any situation. The way truth serums act is like any psychoactive drugs used to obtain information from those unable and unwilling to do so; it causes people to become uninhibited and talkative. In 1922, it occurred to Robert House, a Dallas, Texas, obstetrician, that a similar technique might be employed in the interrogation of suspected criminals, and he arranged to interview under scopolamine two prisoners in the Dallas county jail whose guilt seemed clearly confirmed. Under the drug, both men denied the charges on which they were held; and both, upon trial, were found not guilty. It tries to determine the proper relationship between nature and humans from a religious perspective. Throughout history, Christians have turned to the Bible for advice on almost every aspect of life, but only a select few have been asking questions about caring for the environment. The recent environmental crisis has caused an increase in interest for this type of theology over the past fifty years. Certain passages from the Biblecalls Christians to love and care for each other and ultimately for the environment. Advocators for creation care have found verses in the Bible that suggest that God calls us to protect the Earthand serve as temporary stewards. Ecological theology seeks to find the answers to how Christians can remain true to God s will in a time of environmental destruction and what exactly is the Christian ecological responsibility. Throughout the old testament and the new testament there are a multitude of verses that relate directly to the role God calls christians to play regarding the environment. Some of the verses can be interpreted differently and the variety can lead to confusion about Gods true will. However, If Christians choose to look closely at the Bible they can find very specific sources that support the need to care for God s creation. In Fantomina, the main character, the author does not provide her real name to the readers, changes her identity multiple times throughout the story. In A Tale of Two Cities, two of the main characters, Charles Darnay and Sydney Carton, look very similar, therefore, throughout the story they are mistaken for each other multiple times. Both of these novels showcase the theme of mistaken identity and disguise as well as the different consequences the characters get in the different texts. In Fantomina, the author allows the theme of mistaken identity to be seen through the protagonists many different identities. The first identity the main charactertakes on is Fantomina, the prostitute. Now this identity not only changed her physical identity but it also changed her moral identity. When meeting Beauplaisir, Fantomina depended on the Strength of her Virtue, to bear her safe thro Tryals more dangerous than she apprehended this to be, and never having been address d by him as Lady, was resolv d to receive his Devoirs as a Town Mistress, imagining a world of Satisfaction to herself in engaging him in the Character of such a one, and in observing the Surprise he would be in to find himself refused by a Woman, who he supposed granted her Favours without Exception (Haywood 44). Before she met Beauplaisir she was determined to keep her virtue, as can be seen in the quote. Although, as she took upon the role of Fantomina, she did not uphold her morals. Evidently, her taking on the role of being a prostitute was not the best idea if she wanted to keep her virtue, but nevertheless, she did it anyway just to get the man she wanted. Her losing her virtue shows that by taking on her identity as Fantomina, her moral identity was altered. The case of mistaken identity can be seen in a physical aspect in A Tale of Two Cities . In this novel, the two characters Sydney Carton and Charles Darnay have uncanny similarities. The two characters could not be any less similar personality wise but the resemblance from the outside is incredible. Plot is an author s careful arrangement of incidents in a narrative in order to achieve a desired effect. In Hurston s case, the desired effect is shaping the theme of the story. Throughout Sweat , all of the events are carefully thought out in order to show the reader that Sykes got what he deserved, therefore creating the theme what goes around comes around. The main highlighted events in this plotare the verbal conflict that Delia and Sykes have, the town scene where Sykes is being discussed by local townspeople, Sykes bringing home a rattlesnake, and Sykes getting bit by the snake. The first major incident in the plot of Sweat is a verbal conflict between Delia and Sykes in the beginning. It starts with Delia being scared with a bullwhip by Sykes. She reacts in fear, saying, Sykes, what you throw dat whip on me like dat? You know it would skeer me... (Hurston). Delia and Sykes go back and forth about how scared Delia is scared of snakes, and how Sykes purposely wants to scare her. Delia, however, stays calm until she seizes a skillet and strikes a defensive pose. Sykes is shocked, so he just leaves the house, slamming the gate after him (Hurston). At this point in the story, the reader gets a good idea of the relationship between Delia and Sykes. The reader knows Delia and Sykes are opposites, Sykes badness outlines the good, hardworking side of Delia. This first scene serves as rising action to get to know the life of Delia and Sykes. The theme is not yet clear, because the plot is only beginning. However, Delia foreshadows Sykes fate at the end of this part of Hurston s story. Delia thinks out loud before sleep when she says, Oh well, whatever goes over the Devil s back, is got to come under his belly. Sometime or ruther, Sykes, like everybody else, is gointer reap his sowing (Hurston). The next scene of this story is the conversation the townspeople have. Secure attachment refers to when the parent(s) or caregiver(s) are present in the child s life. To put it another way, if God exist then by his nature, being all good and all powerful, its only logical for the world to, also, be all good, which of course it is not. Ultimately, Mackie uses this logic to argue God cannot exist if evil disseminated through the universe, which it clearly does, leaving the only conclusion to reject God s existence. Argument Now that s all well and good, except for the fact that the logical problem of evil spends so much time focused on the omnipotent and the omnibenevolent aspects of God that is all together neglects the fact that God is also omniscient. He knows everything, past, present, and future. Therefore, it is only logical to assume that God also knows the best way to achieve the greatest good, which as established is the singular goal of an omnibenevolent being. If such knowledge is true, as it must be according to the laws of Omni three, then it is possible that God has determined that the greatest good can only come by human choice, also known as freewill, not by His force. Additionally, bullying or group bullying is a more day to day reoccurring problem that individuals partake in, to which there are many possibilities why individuals join in on group violence with bullying. I believe the reasons I am going to state are not the only reasons, but are crucial to consider. Individuals join in on group bullying for typically conforming to peers as gaining power is of interest to the bullies while there is an issue of bullies not understanding their own behavior. A factor that leads individuals to connect with others in group bullying is conformity or the peer pressure to be included with the group bullies, which further induces violent acts against victims. Conformity is when someone is influenced by another person, thus the person being influenced changes their behavior to fit in with the group. From a social psychological perspective, conformity in group bullying can be explained by normative social influence and social impact theory (Aronson et al. 238).

Mike Vick Research Paper Austin Ford ELA 10 2nd Hour Mrs.Hartman 28 February 2017 When people think of Mike Vick they think of a dogfighter, well that s not entirely true he isn t all a dog fighter. Vick is also a great NFL running quarterback. Michael Dwayne Vick was born in Newport Virginia. He didn t realize the skill that he had until he was in 7th grade. When he went to high school he was the second best quarterback in Virginia, he was the second because the 1st was Ronald Curry. When Vick decided he wanted to go to college there only 2 colleges that Vick knew he wanted to go to, those were Syracuse and Virginia Tech (VT). At the time Vick was deciding to go to VT there was already a man that was in Syracuse and that was Aaron Brooks. So he decided to go to VT. Because he never saw them on TV before, he s never heard about them at all. Vicks first year he ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Some people forgive Michael Vickfor what he did and some people don t. Vick saw his first dogfight when he was about 7 or 8, he said that he didn t think that it was wrong because the police didn t do anything about it. And no one really cared about it either. He thought that dog fighting was fair ok to do. In 2007 Mike Vick went to jail for dog fighting. He was caught by his cousin which was taken to jail for having drugs in his vehicle, and the man gave Vicks the police went to Vick s house and they found these building behind his house. He was running a dogfighting business called Bad Newz Kennelz . He went to a FBI agent and lied to them. The second time around he pleaded guilty. He knew that he mest up. In a conference before he went to Kansas to be put in jail he asked for understanding and forgiveness. 18 months later he got out of jail and went to his house in Virginia and was in house arrest. People should forgive him he spent 18 months in jail, that s for a 1 year and 6 months. Come on Vick spent his time. Let s put it this way: A friend is in jail for 18 months, would you forgive
  • 49. Racial Leadership And The African American Political... Throughout the history of United States we have had different views of racial leadership in Afro American political thought from W.E.B Du Bois to Booker T. Washington to Marcus Garvey who sought to lead African Americans from the oppression they face. All three of these historical figures had different views on racial leadership and politics as well as the vision and direction that racial emancipation should take. W.E.B Du Bois argued that African Americans should political, economic, and social freedom and advancement. Booker T. Washington was more conservative in his approach in that African Americans should first and foremost focus on economically advancing themselves first in order to seek equality in other areas. Marcus Garvey had a... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... A good example of part of the current civil rights concept is that fight for reparations with arguments for it being that it will encourage innovation, creation, and development of small business (Muhammad 4). As we can see the civil rights concept of racial leadership is largely shaped by class and economic politics. The impact of the civil rights concept towards racial liberation has been well documented throughout U.S history due to its importance. Booker T. Washington had a different concept of the type of liberation African Americans should seek that can be considered fairly different from other concepts of racial leadership in that he believed in economic autonomy being the best path towards racial emancipation. Washington he was born into slavery and he didn t hold whites in contempt. On the contrary he believed that because of slavery African Americans were in a stronger and more hopeful condition, materially, intellectually, morally, and religiously (Washington 8) than other black people around the world. Washington was a strong proponent of industrial education for African Americans and thought they should learn skills and trades and work hard instead of pushing for civil rights right away. Washington believed that African Americans should seek
  • 50. Catalase Lab Report Enzyme activity is dependent on a set of optimum environmental conditions, which allows enzymes to carry out reactions at an ideal rate (Factors affecting Enzyme Activity | A Level Notes. 2016). This experiment investigated the effects of alterations in pH environments and temperature on the rate of the production of foam suspension as a representation of the rate of reaction of the catalaseenzyme, since the peroxide catalase reaction produces oxygengas as a bi product (Johnson Matthey, 2016), which is responsible for the bubbles observed (see fig. 5). The results of this experiment demonstrated that when considering pH conditions the catalase enzyme reaches the optimum reaction rate at a pH of 7 (see fig. 2). Also it was found that the optimum... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This source of error could be minimised by using an apparatus that would keep the temperature constant for example an insulated water bath that would not be affected by the temperature and cooling factors of the room. Another source of error, which caused the lower temperature of 4в„ѓ to have a higher observable rate of reaction than 25в„ѓ was a methodical error where the potato was placed in the room temperature solution before it was placed in the water bath to heat up. This was minimised in the following experiments by placing the test tube in the water bath then adding the potato to ensure that the true temperature of the solution was as stated. In addition, rearranging the method again can also amend this. For example adding the potato into the heated solution of water to allow it to adjust to the conditions for a few seconds and then adding the peroxide to begin the reaction. In additional, the observations of this experiment can be improved by adding 2 3 drops of detergent to each test tube, this would allow the foam suspension to be more prominent and therefore can be measured easier. Similar to the pH experiment if the observations were taken in equal time intervals the for example every minute it would be more accurate easier to deduce the rate of reaction of the enzyme. Other more minor sources of error experienced when measuring the effects of temperature on the pH of solution was systematic error in measuring the height of the foam suspension using a centimeter ruler, which like pH, introduced a (В±0.5) degree of error. This can also be minimised through the use of a measuring cylinder, which would also minimise the chances of any solution being lost in transfer as it is all
  • 51. Voting Day Analysis As mentioned on previous pages, the idea of having a federal holiday for voting is not a new idea. As expressed in previous pages, in the recent years, the idea has become popular with Bernie s Bill, The Democracy Day Act. However, in addition there are a handful of organizations and movements that are also trying to make voting day become a holiday. Surprisingly, Rainn Wilson created a video portraying how antiquated the laws surrounding voting day are. The video explains why America votes on a Tuesday and how irrelevant it is to still practice voting on that day. Wilson also poked fun at the notorious voter identification laws which also have been proven to be fatuous. Wilson s video helped provide a connection between how tedious and

The satellite reached a huge asteroid with the diameter of 500 kilometers roughly 1/6 the diameter of the moon. The satellite orbited the asteroid, just by accident the satellite s messages were received on earth. Those messages revealed that the satellite was on its way home and the asteroid was coming with it. If it hit earth all of life on earth cease, if it missed then the earth would be pushed too close to the sun and life would never be able to survive on Earth again. I can imagine Billy revisiting New York and looking at famous landmarks. Another good addition is being able to see the perspective of the member of Judgement Day who sabotaged the missile. Seeing the perspective of any antagonist would be good too. It would very intrigue to see this perspective, because the closest we get to the antagonist s perspective is Markell s suicide, and that isn t much. It is difficult to say which part is the best because the entire book is pretty good, although pg.166 1667 is one part in particular which is quite funny; the Judgement Day had placed a 50 million bounty on Shepard. Soon Sheppard became the most wanted man in the world; because of this all of the pictures of Sheppard were destroyed. In that scene, Sheppard was looking at blogs that claimed to have pictures of him. They were the laughable one depicted him as a muscular African another had a 200 pound man; none of these were anywhere close what Sheppard looked like. This scene brings some fun into an otherwise dark book, which is rather unique. The part in which one of the 7 missiles were sabotaged by Judgement Day and exploded before it reached the asteroid was a jaw dropper. This part was shocking; it put the thrill into the thriller . I would recommend this book to someone else. This is the kind of book which when you begin reading you cannot stop unless you
  • 53. The Blood Type And Anti Rh Serums Abstract The goal of this experiment is to determine the blood types of the samples given and to learn what interactions occurred to each blood type. Determining an individual s blood type and how it reacts with Anti A, Anti B, and Anti Rh serums played a crucial part in this experiment. The researcher concluded that agglutination (clumping) occurred in some of the blood samples. For example, Mr. Smith s blood reacted with Anti A and Anti Rh serums (antibodies) allowing the researcher to determine the blood type is A. Mr. Jones s blood reacted with Anti B serum but it did not react to Anti A or Anti Rh allowing the researcher to believe that the blood type is B. Mr. Green s blood reacted with all serums and caused a reaction to occur resulting the blood type to be AB positive. Mr. Green s blood also had a positive marker for Rh factor. However, Ms. Brown s blood had no reaction at all and the researcher determined if no reaction occurred then the sample had no antigens but proved to have some antibodies, resulting in blood type to be O. The purpose of this experiment is to determine whose blood has type A, B, AB, or O. 3. Introduction The general charactertics of blood are color, composition, and pH. The composition of blood is determined by collecting blood from a person then it s placed in a centrifuge which shows plasma is 55% of whole blood and 45 % is erythrocytes. Another name for red blood cells is erythrocytes which are small sacs of blood that carry oxygen and
  • 54. Maritime War Essay Maritime wars took a noteworthy change amid the common war. On March 8 1862 the Confederates revealed a ship that would change maritime fighting everlastingly, making wooden body ship outdated. The Confederates set two layers of steel plate over the structure of the Merrimack , situated ten firearms along its side and included a smash her bow. This resilient ship in its first fight, in the harbor of Hampton Roads assaulted five Union boats. The Merrimack renamed the Virginia sank one Union boat, exploded another ship, and made a third run ashore. No shots could infiltrate her shield. The unexpected thing was the Merrimack was left to sink after the Union naval force cut gaps into it. The Virginia s grandness did not keep going long. She was a frigate that was surrendered by the Union naval force, and adjusted with steel by the Confederates naval force. She was a moderate boat controlled by two old motors. It took thirty minutes just to turn her around. Three months earlier from the assault at Hampton Roads harbor the Union naval force was building an iron clad boat they could call their own, the Screen . Composed by John Ericsson, this boat was assembled without any preparation in just three months. This boat included a spinning turret, had two eleven inch weapons and was controlled by an assistant steam motor. She was twice as quick as the Virginia and a great deal more flexibility. On March 9, the day after the triumph of the Virginia at Hampton Roads
