I appreciate the opportunity to register my high interest in seeking a position within
your company, I am confident that I am a candidate who could bring experience and
add value to your maintenance division.
I have been working in a Project FIFO environment for some time now and I am
looking for a permanent long term position. As you can see by my resume, I have
demonstrated my loyalty and commitment to my employer by staying for significant
periods of time with each employer. I have a young family in the Hunter and I would
like to have a better work/life balance that I’m not currently afforded with my FIFO
arrangement.
I have 18 years’ experience in the Maintenance and Construction sectors, with over
10 years supervisory experience, including my most current role with key leading
Construction operator Downer Australia. I spent most of my apprenticeship onsite in
a maintenance position and then moved to Temmco, where I gained my trade and
responsible for maintaining CHPP/CHP plants. Since that time I have stayed in the
coal industry on the construction side building CHPP’s, CHP and Loading facilities in
the Hunter and various locations around Australia.
I have the ability to plan and co-ordinate tasks to ensure strict deadlines are met and
optimal service delivery to the client is achieved. I have extensive experience in
coordinating diverse teams and have the ability to provide clear task assignments
and to coach individuals with a focus on performance improvement and team
development.
I have excellent oral and written communication skills, and provide solid written
reports to senior management of project status and issues management. I have the
ability to communicate with all levels people internally and external to organisations.
I am highly motivated, composed under pressure and have the ability to use initiative
to optimise service delivery and to meet client and organisation objectives.
I have a high degree of computer literacy, including the Microsoft suite and I have
extensive experience using computerized maintenance management systems, I also
have the ability to adapt to new software extremely well. I am safety conscious and I
have a sound understanding of the OH&S Act 2011 and OH&S regulation 2011.
I believe I can offer a broad range of qualifications, key competencies and the
relevant attitude and aptitude as a member of your team.
