Employability Activities
Customer Service Representative, Teleperformance 22/5/14- 30/10/2014
Most recent employment has been under two contracts Full time with TeleperformanceUK where I was
charged with assisting customers with their accounts over the telephone. The first contract was managing
orders and complaints relating to the online store of retail chain John Lewis.
The second contract was with student loans England. A contract where conflict resolution and diplomacy
were key. Dealing with customers who were unhappy with the state of their accounts was a daily task due to
the nature of the business. I maintained a high level of call quality (including resolution) and remained in the
contract until the completion of the contract. Both contracts required excellent problem solving and customer
service skills.
Barnando's retail assistant July 10th 2013-January 2014.
I was a volunteer at the charity shop chain Barnardo’s where I performed a number of tasks from cash
handling to managing and sorting stock.
Young Scout leader(2009- 2011 )
Since late 2009 I have undertaken voluntary work at the 21
st
Scout group as a young leader for a group of
Beaver Scouts. My duties include running games, planning badge work and ensuring the safety of those I
work with.
Work experience post, Taylor vet practice 2008
During my fourth year of high school I spent a week working at a vet clinic where I gained valuable work
experience. During this experience I observed multiple operations and took on administrative work. I spent
some time with the vets as they dealt with clients. Listening to these conversations (with their consent) I
gained insight into the relationship between clients and workers. It was also rewarding to talk to those
employed at the surgery; I found how committed people could be to their jobs and how they could enjoy their
work especially in stressful situations.
