This document is the agenda for a Bible class discussing names and titles of Jesus Christ, focusing on him as the Prince of Peace. The summary discusses how Jesus will bring peace both presently and in the future, referencing several Bible passages that describe a future time of peace and prosperity under Jesus' kingdom when he returns. It also notes how there was little peace in 1st century Judea and references Jesus weeping over Jerusalem's lack of recognition that he was their Prince of Peace.

The entry of Jesus into Jerusalem was a great celebration of the coming of their long promised and long awaited King. We are reminded that with the coming of Jesus is justice, righteousness, peace and salvation in a spiritual kingdom. We should celebrate as they did.
The Millenium:The Kingdom of Jesus Christ on Earth
Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, having the key to the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. 2 He laid hold of the dragon, that serpent of old, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years; 3 and he cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal on him, so that he should deceive the nations no more till the thousand years were finished. (Rev 20:1-3)
Greetings From Naples Christian Academy!
Advent. Expectancy. Waiting, Preparing. Celebrating. All these words come to mind when I think of the season we call “Christmas”. While we watch children (and adults!) get excited about the arrival of Christmas, the heavens and earth groaned in eager expectation 2000 years ago for the arrival in a country manger of the Christ child, Jesus.
The Advent season has been celebrated by believers for centuries, with each week being a time for reflection, meditation, adoration, and ultimate celebration of the birth of God’s Light to the world. We at the Academy have spent time writing, composing, painting and expressing our thoughts and visions about the various aspects of the Advent season – joy, hope, peace, and light.
May this Christmas be full of thankfulness and blessings for you and your family!

CHRISTIAN SUPERNATURAL TEACHINGS, BIBLE CLASS LESSONS, GOSPELS BY LEADER OLUMBA OLUMBA OBU, THE SUPERNATURAL TEACHER AND SOLE SPIRITUAL HEAD, BROTHERHOOD OF THE CROSS AND STAR
In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.
The Book of Joshua is the sixth book in the Hebrew Bible and the Old Testament, and is the first book of the Deuteronomistic history, the story of Israel from the conquest of Canaan to the Babylonian exile.

Homily: The Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity Sunday 2024.docxJames Knipper
Countless volumes have been written trying to explain the mystery of three persons in one true God, leaving us to resort to metaphors such as the three-leaf clover to try to comprehend the Divinity. Many of us grew up with the quintessential pyramidal Trinity structure of God at the top and Son and Spirit in opposite corners. But what if we looked at this ‘mystery’ from a different perspective? What if we shifted our language of God as a being towards the concept of God as love? What if we focused more on the relationship within the Trinity versus the persons of the Trinity? What if stopped looking at God as a noun…and instead considered God as a verb? Check it out…

Names and titles of the lord - prince of peace
1. Names and
Titles of the Lord
– “Prince of
Peace”
Bible Class,
Laindon, 18th
April 2018
2. Agenda
Isaiah 9.6
“Prince” and “Peace”
Peace in First Century Judea
Peace in the years since
The Words of the Prophets c/w
Peace in the future
Concluding thoughts
3. Isaiah 9.6
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is
given: and the government shall be upon his
shoulder: and his name shall be called
Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God,
The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
5. Peace in 1st Century Judea
Acts 5.36-39
For before these days rose up Theudas, boasting himself
to be somebody; to whom a number of men, about four
hundred, joined themselves: who was slain; and all, as
many as obeyed him, were scattered, and brought to
nought. After this man rose up Judas of Galilee in the
days of the taxing, and drew away much people after him:
he also perished; and all, even as many as obeyed him,
were dispersed. And now I say unto you, Refrain from
these men, and let them alone: for if this counsel or this
work be of men, it will come to nought: but if it be of God,
ye cannot overthrow it
6. Peace in 1st Century Judea
Matthew 10.34-39
Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came
not to send peace, but a sword. For I am come to set a
man at variance against his father, and the daughter
against her mother, and the daughter in law against her
mother in law. And a man’s foes shall be they of his own
household. He that loveth father or mother more than me
is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter
more than me is not worthy of me. And he that taketh not
his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me. He
that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life
for my sake shall find it.
11. Our Source of Peace
John 14.27
Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you:
not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not
your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
John 16.33
These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye
might have peace. In the world ye shall have
tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome
the world.`
12. A Lack of Recognition!
Luke 19.41-44
And when he was come near, he beheld the city, and
wept over it, saying, If thou hadst known, even thou, at
least in this thy day, the things which belong unto thy
peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes. For the
days shall come upon thee, that thine enemies shall
cast a trench about thee, and compass thee round, and
keep thee in on every side, and shall lay thee even with
the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall
not leave in thee one stone upon another; because
thou knewest not the time of thy visitation.
13. Our Captain
Hebrews 2.10
For it became him, for whom are all things,
and by whom are all things, in bringing many
sons unto glory, to make the captain of their
salvation perfect through sufferings.
14. A View of Jerusalem
Psalm 122.6-7
Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall
prosper that love thee. Peace be within thy
walls, and prosperity within thy palaces.
15. A Day of Reckoning
Haggai 2.6-9
For thus saith the Lord of hosts; Yet once, it is a
little while, and I will shake the heavens, and the
earth, and the sea, and the dry land; and I will
shake all nations, and the desire of all nations
shall come: and I will fill this house with glory,
saith the Lord of hosts. The silver is mine, and the
gold is mine, saith the Lord of hosts. The glory of
this latter house shall be greater than of the
former, saith the Lord of hosts: and in this place
will I give peace, saith the Lord of hosts.
16. The Prophetic Word
Isaiah 52.7
How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him
that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that
bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth
salvation; that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth!
Nahum 1.15
Behold upon the mountains the feet of him that bringeth
good tidings, that publisheth peace!
O Judah, keep thy solemn feasts, perform thy vows: for
the wicked shall no more pass through thee; he is
utterly cut off.
17. Jesus – Leader, Peacemaker and
King
Psalm 72.6-8
He shall come down like rain upon the mown
grass: as showers that water the earth. In his
days shall the righteous flourish; and
abundance of peace so long as the moon
endureth. He shall have dominion also from
sea to sea, and from the river unto the ends of
the earth.
18. The Prophetic Word (cont.,)
Ezekiel 34.24-26
And I the Lord will be their God, and my servant
David a prince among them; I the Lord have
spoken it. And I will make with them a covenant of
peace, and will cause the evil beasts to cease out
of the land: and they shall dwell safely in the
wilderness, and sleep in the woods. And I will
make them and the places round about my hill a
blessing; and I will cause the shower to come
down in his season; there shall be showers of
blessing.
19. The Prophetic Word (cont.,)
Ezekiel 37.26
Moreover I will make a covenant of peace
with them; it shall be an everlasting
covenant with them: and I will place them,
and multiply them, and will set my sanctuary
in the midst of them for evermore.
20. Peace Reigns Supreme
Isaiah 9.7
Of the increase of his government and peace
there shall be no end, upon the throne of David,
and upon his kingdom,
to order it, and to establish it with judgment and
with justice from henceforth even for ever. The
zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.
Editor's Notes
Pax Romana, ( Latin: “Roman Peace”) a state of comparative tranquillity throughout the Mediterranean world from the reign of Augustus (27 bce–14 ce) to the reign of Marcus Aurelius (161 –180 ce). Augustus laid the foundation for this period of concord, which also extended to North Africa and Persia.
