Pardes
The term "Pardes" is a Hebrew word meaning "orchard" or "paradise", and it is used to refer to a method of studying
the Bible that consists of four levels of interpretation:
1. Pshat: The literal or plain meaning of the text. This level of interpretation focuses on the plain meaning of the
words and sentences and the context in which they were written.
2. Remez: The hinted or allegorical meaning. This level of interpretation looks for deeper or hidden meanings in the
text, such as symbols, allusions, and hints to other biblical or spiritual concepts.
3. Derash: The homiletical meaning. This level of interpretation involves using the text as a basis for moral and
ethical lessons, and drawing out practical applications from it.
4. Sod: The mystical or hidden meaning. This level of interpretation looks for deeper, hidden spiritual truths in the
text, and often involves exploring the symbolism and deeper spiritual meanings of the words and concepts in the
text.
These four levels of interpretation are often used in the study of the Bible, particularly among Jews and Christians who
are trained in the tradition of the Pardes method of biblical interpretation. The goal of this method is to understand the
full depth and richness of the text, and to uncover the different layers of meaning that are present in the Bible.

Exodus 15
15 Then Moses and the children of Israel sang
this song to the LORD, and spoke, saying:
“I will sing to the LORD, For He has triumphed
gloriously! The horse and its rider He has
thrown into the sea!
2 The LORD is my strength and song, And He has
become my salvation; He is my God, and I will
praise Him; My father’s God, and I will exalt
Him.

Deuteronomy 32:1-43
“Give ear, O heavens, and I will speak;
And hear, O earth, the words of my mouth.
2 Let my [a]teaching drop as the rain,
My speech distill as the dew,
As raindrops on the tender herb,
And as showers on the grass.………………….

Lamb, saying, Great and marvellous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways,

Prophesy concerning us in the Last Day and
the Song of Moses – A witness against you
• Deuteronomy 31:16-21
16 ….this people will rise up, and go a whoring after the gods of the strangers of the
land, whither they go to be among them, and will forsake me, and break my covenant
which I have made with them.
17 Then my anger shall be kindled against them in that day, and I will forsake them, and
I will hide my face from them, and they shall be devoured, and many evils and troubles
shall befall them; so that they will say in that day, Are not these evils come upon us,
because our God is not among us?
18 And I will surely hide my face in that day for all the evils which they shall
have wrought, in that they are turned unto other gods.
19 Now therefore write ye this song for you, and teach it the children of Israel: put it in
their mouths, that this song may be a witness for me against the children of Israel.
20 For when I shall have brought them into the land which I sware unto their fathers,
that floweth with milk and honey; and they shall have eaten and filled themselves, and
waxen fat; then will they turn unto other gods, and serve them, and provoke me, and
break my covenant 8

The meanings of all 72 names from Adam to Jesus read sequentially.

The Names Code
• The meaning of a name was very important in bible days. The bible itself
informs the reader what the meaning of many biblical persons are, men of
renown such as Adam, Cain, Seth, Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and all his 12
sons. Their names tell the story of why or how they were born.
• Some have wondered if these names (with their meanings) were intended by
God to be strung together in chronological succession to tell some larger story.
Already, the first 10 names in the bible from Adam to Noah have been strung
together. But do they continue to read like this all the way to Jesus, 72 persons
in all?
Meanings of first 10 names from Adam to Noah read
sequentially [Part 1]
"The God-man is appointed, a mortal man of sorrow is born! The Glory of God shall come
down and teach that His death shall bring the grieving comfort and rest."

Joel 2:28
25 And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I
sent among you.
26 And ye shall eat in plenty, and be satisfied, and praise the name of the LORD your God, that hath dealt wondrously with you: and my people

Feast of Trumpets is rehearsed every month
20
Sighting of the New Moon is the 1st of the
biblical month. Moon looks like the
twinkling of the eye. No one knows the day
of the hour (29th or the 30th Day of the
Month)
Feast of Trumpets
1. The Day of Trumpets is a joyful day of blowing shofars (Leviticus 25:9), making
wonderful sounds with cymbals and tambourines, and a joyful 'Day of shouting’, such
as Hallelujah, Praise YeHoVaH (Psalm 150:3).
2. Feast of Trumpets is about the resurrection and Coronation of the King
3. The shofar was also used as a battle cry, signaling the approaching of triumph. We can
be confident that "death is swallowed up in victory" when the last trumpet sounds at
the end of the age (1 Cor. 15:55).
4. Greetings: One blessing is “Leshanah tovah tikateiv veteichateim,” which means “May
you be inscribed and sealed for a good year”.
21
The four (4) primary shofar blasts are: Tekiah!
Shevarim! Teruah! Tekiah ha-Gadol!
1. Tekiah: The tekiah blast, pronounced tuh-KEE-ah, is a long single
blast that acts as a command (used for the coronation of a King).
2. Shevarim: The shevarim blast, pronounced shih-vah-REEM, is three
(3) short notes (signifying repentance).
3. Teruah: The Teru’ah blast, pronounced tih-ROO-ahh, The Teru'ah
blast is a succession of nine (9) very short blasts that have been
likened to an urgent alarm (wake up from spiritual slumber).
4. Tekiah ha-Gadol: a very long blast (for as long as your breath lasts).
Traditionally, the Tekiah is blown first, then the Shevarim, then the
Teruah, and finally the Tekiah ha-Gadol.

Yom Kippur – points to The Judgement
• The most common of which are Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, the Fast, the
Judgement, the Verdict.
• The Day of Atonement is a day of fasting (24 hours), repentance, and prayer to
cleanse oneself of any rebellion, unforgiveness, sin and to petition the Father, ‘if your
only begotten Son, Yeshua the Messiah, does not return this year, please give me a
year of life and blessings’.
• Isaiah 58:3-7
5 Is it such a fast that I have chosen? a day for a man to afflict his soul? is it to bow down his head
as a bulrush, and to spread sackcloth and ashes under him? wilt thou call this a fast, and an
acceptable day to the Lord?
6 Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy
burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?
• Greetings: May you be inscribed (in the Book of Life) for good, which is Gmar
Chatimah Tova.

Why Biblical Feast Dates or Appointed Times
Vary Year to Year?
Unlike the Gregorian calendar, which is solar, the Biblical Calendar is
lunar. The Biblical Calendar year is determined by the phases of the
moon, whereas the Gregorian is determined by the sun's cycles.
Except for leap years, the Gregorian calendar's days tally up to 365, and
the months are 28-31 days long.
The months of the Biblical calendar are either 29 or 30 days long. The
new moon always marks the start of a new month.
This means that all other Feasts dates or Appointed Times will shift
from year to year.

Baptisms
•John said this to baptize Yeshua
Blessed are you LORD our God who has sanctified us by your
commandants and commanded concerning the Mikvah (ritual
cleansing). – Typical Pharisee blessing for Mikveh
•Baptism is about identification with Yeshua , the Father and the
Holy Spirit
•Baptized is common for birthday , Feasts days , weddings etc.

What is Sin?
Sin - is missing the mark
or Torahlessness
Recall Yeshua was the
Sin offering
Matt 19:17 - …but if thou wilt enter into
life, keep the commandments.

Yeshua death on the cross is proof that YeHoVaH’s law cannot
be changed – Yeshua paid the penalty for the broken law of
YeHoVaH . Recall sin the breaking of the law

Covenants
1. Adamic Covenant. Found in Genesis 1:26-30 and 2:16-17, this covenant is general in nature. It
included the command not to eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, pronounced a
curse for sin, and spoke of a future provision for man's redemption (Genesis 3:15).
2. Noahic Covenant. This general covenant was made between God and Noah following the
departure of Noah, his family, and the animals from the ark. Found in Genesis 9:11, "I establish my
covenant with you, that never again shall all flesh be cut off by the waters of the flood, and never
again shall there be a flood to destroy the earth." This covenant included a sign of God's
faithfulness to keep it—the rainbow.
3. Abrahamic Covenant. This unconditional covenant, first made to Abraham in Genesis 12:1-3,
promised God's blessing upon Abraham, to make his name great and to make his progeny into a
great nation. The covenant also promised blessing to those who blessed Abraham and cursing to
those who cursed him. Further, God vowed to bless the entire world through Abraham's seed.
Circumcision was the sign that Abraham believed the covenant (Romans 4:11). The fulfillment of
this covenant is seen in the history of Abraham's descendants and in the creation of the nation of
Israel. The worldwide blessing came through Jesus Christ, who was of Abraham's family line.
4. Mosaic Covenant. This conditional covenant, found in Deuteronomy 11 and elsewhere, promised
the Israelites a blessing for obedience and a curse for disobedience. Much of the Old Testament
chronicles the fulfillment of this cycle of judgment for sin and later blessinwhen God's people
repented and returned to God.
5. Davidic Covenant. This unconditional covenant, found in 2 Samuel 7:8-16, promised to bless
David's family line and assured an everlasting kingdom. Jesus is from the family line of David (Luke
1:32-33) and, as the Son of David (Mark 10:47), is the fulfillment of this covenant.
6. Re-New Covenant. This covenant, found in Jeremiah 31:31-34, promised that God would forgive
sin and have a close, unbroken relationship with His people. The promise was first made to Israel
and then extended to everyone who comes to Jesus Christ in faith (Matthew 26:28; Hebrews 9:15).

Matthew 22:36-40
36 Master, which is the great commandment in the
law?
37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy
God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with
all thy mind(paraphrasing the Book of Deuteronomy (6:4-9))
38 This is the first and great commandment.
39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy
neighbor as thyself (paraphrasing a text from the Book of Leviticus (19:18))
40 On these two commandments hang all the law and
the prophets.
41 While the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus
asked them

18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle
shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and

  • 4. Pardes The term "Pardes" is a Hebrew word meaning "orchard" or "paradise", and it is used to refer to a method of studying the Bible that consists of four levels of interpretation: 1. Pshat: The literal or plain meaning of the text. This level of interpretation focuses on the plain meaning of the words and sentences and the context in which they were written. 2. Remez: The hinted or allegorical meaning. This level of interpretation looks for deeper or hidden meanings in the text, such as symbols, allusions, and hints to other biblical or spiritual concepts. 3. Derash: The homiletical meaning. This level of interpretation involves using the text as a basis for moral and ethical lessons, and drawing out practical applications from it. 4. Sod: The mystical or hidden meaning. This level of interpretation looks for deeper, hidden spiritual truths in the text, and often involves exploring the symbolism and deeper spiritual meanings of the words and concepts in the text. These four levels of interpretation are often used in the study of the Bible, particularly among Jews and Christians who are trained in the tradition of the Pardes method of biblical interpretation. The goal of this method is to understand the full depth and richness of the text, and to uncover the different layers of meaning that are present in the Bible. 4/29/2023 4 • Pardes • Psalms for every day of the week • Prophesy concerning us in the Last Day and the Song of Moses

Prophesy concerning us in the Last Day and the Song of Moses – A witness against you • Deuteronomy 31:16-21 16 ….this people will rise up, and go a whoring after the gods of the strangers of the land, whither they go to be among them, and will forsake me, and break my covenant which I have made with them. 17 Then my anger shall be kindled against them in that day, and I will forsake them, and I will hide my face from them, and they shall be devoured, and many evils and troubles shall befall them; so that they will say in that day, Are not these evils come upon us, because our God is not among us? 18 And I will surely hide my face in that day for all the evils which they shall have wrought, in that they are turned unto other gods. 19 Now therefore write ye this song for you, and teach it the children of Israel: put it in their mouths, that this song may be a witness for me against the children of Israel. 20 For when I shall have brought them into the land which I sware unto their fathers, that floweth with milk and honey; and they shall have eaten and filled themselves, and waxen fat; then will they turn unto other gods, and serve them, and provoke me, and break my covenant 8 Mixing the Holy with the profane – limited power in body of Yeshua Demanding blessing but mixing Holy with the Profane

  • 11. The Names Code • The meaning of a name was very important in bible days. The bible itself informs the reader what the meaning of many biblical persons are, men of renown such as Adam, Cain, Seth, Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and all his 12 sons. Their names tell the story of why or how they were born. • Some have wondered if these names (with their meanings) were intended by God to be strung together in chronological succession to tell some larger story. Already, the first 10 names in the bible from Adam to Noah have been strung together. But do they continue to read like this all the way to Jesus, 72 persons in all?
  • 12. Meanings of first 10 names from Adam to Noah read sequentially [Part 1] "The God-man is appointed, a mortal man of sorrow is born! The Glory of God shall come down and teach that His death shall bring the grieving comfort and rest."
  • 13. 7 Feasts , Appointed Times – Moedim • These Feasts memorialize the deliverance of Israel from Egypt, including the salvation plan via Yeshua's first coming when He renewed covenants, saved His people from their sins, gave the Holy Spirit, and to return as the King. • The Father’s Oracles • Here is a list of all seven Feasts based on Leviticus 23: 13
  • 14. 7 Feasts , Appointed Times – Moedim 1. Passover, PESACH - wine, bread - Marriage 2. Feast of Unleavened Bread, HA’MATZA’OT 3. Firstfruits, REHSHEET 4. • 15. Shavuot , Pentecost – 50 days 1. Traditionally the first Shavuot occurred on the same day that God gave the Ten Commandments to Moses on Mount Sinai 3,500 years ago is henceforth YeHoVaH’s appointed time for memorializing giving of the Ten Commandments at Sinai. 2. On the Feast of Shavuot, believers in Yeshua memorialize the gifting of the Holy Spirit and the Law written on our hearts. • Joel 2: 28 And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions: 29 And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit Take away tongues - 15

Joel 2:28 25 And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you. 26 And ye shall eat in plenty, and be satisfied, and praise the name of the LORD your God, that hath dealt wondrously with you: and my people shall never be ashamed. 27 And ye shall know that I am in the midst of Israel, and that I am the LORD your God, and none else: and my people shall never be ashamed. 28 And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions: 29 And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit.

  • 20. Feast of Trumpets is rehearsed every month 20 Sighting of the New Moon is the 1st of the biblical month. Moon looks like the twinkling of the eye. No one knows the day of the hour (29th or the 30th Day of the Month)
  • 21. Feast of Trumpets 1. The Day of Trumpets is a joyful day of blowing shofars (Leviticus 25:9), making wonderful sounds with cymbals and tambourines, and a joyful 'Day of shouting’, such as Hallelujah, Praise YeHoVaH (Psalm 150:3). 2. Feast of Trumpets is about the resurrection and Coronation of the King 3. The shofar was also used as a battle cry, signaling the approaching of triumph. We can be confident that "death is swallowed up in victory" when the last trumpet sounds at the end of the age (1 Cor. 15:55). 4. Greetings: One blessing is “Leshanah tovah tikateiv veteichateim,” which means “May you be inscribed and sealed for a good year”. 21
  • 22. The four (4) primary shofar blasts are: Tekiah! Shevarim! Teruah! Tekiah ha-Gadol! 1. Tekiah: The tekiah blast, pronounced tuh-KEE-ah, is a long single blast that acts as a command (used for the coronation of a King). 2. Shevarim: The shevarim blast, pronounced shih-vah-REEM, is three (3) short notes (signifying repentance). 3. Teruah: The Teru’ah blast, pronounced tih-ROO-ahh, The Teru'ah blast is a succession of nine (9) very short blasts that have been likened to an urgent alarm (wake up from spiritual slumber). 4. Tekiah ha-Gadol: a very long blast (for as long as your breath lasts). Traditionally, the Tekiah is blown first, then the Shevarim, then the Teruah, and finally the Tekiah ha-Gadol. 22 Reference: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0jR20-0sy1Y

  • 24. Yom Kippur – points to The Judgement • The most common of which are Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, the Fast, the Judgement, the Verdict. • The Day of Atonement is a day of fasting (24 hours), repentance, and prayer to cleanse oneself of any rebellion, unforgiveness, sin and to petition the Father, ‘if your only begotten Son, Yeshua the Messiah, does not return this year, please give me a year of life and blessings’. • Isaiah 58:3-7 5 Is it such a fast that I have chosen? a day for a man to afflict his soul? is it to bow down his head as a bulrush, and to spread sackcloth and ashes under him? wilt thou call this a fast, and an acceptable day to the Lord? 6 Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke? • Greetings: May you be inscribed (in the Book of Life) for good, which is Gmar Chatimah Tova. 24
  • 25. 25 Yom Kippur greeting YHVH will have decided who gets to live another year , Blessed , Healed etc
  • 26. SUKKOT, FEAST OF TABERNACLES • On Chag Ha-Sukkot, the Torah instructs that we construct a Sukkah according to Nehemiah 8:14-16, 7 day feast • YHVH dwelling with man 26
  • 27. SUKKOT, FEAST OF TABERNACLES 27 YeHoVaH dwelling with man Shepherds seeing baby wrapped in swaddling clothes
  • 28. Why Biblical Feast Dates or Appointed Times Vary Year to Year? Unlike the Gregorian calendar, which is solar, the Biblical Calendar is lunar. The Biblical Calendar year is determined by the phases of the moon, whereas the Gregorian is determined by the sun's cycles. Except for leap years, the Gregorian calendar's days tally up to 365, and the months are 28-31 days long. The months of the Biblical calendar are either 29 or 30 days long. • 33. Covenants 1. Adamic Covenant. Found in Genesis 1:26-30 and 2:16-17, this covenant is general in nature. It included the command not to eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, pronounced a curse for sin, and spoke of a future provision for man's redemption (Genesis 3:15). 2. Noahic Covenant. This general covenant was made between God and Noah following the departure of Noah, his family, and the animals from the ark. Found in Genesis 9:11, "I establish my covenant with you, that never again shall all flesh be cut off by the waters of the flood, and never again shall there be a flood to destroy the earth." This covenant included a sign of God's faithfulness to keep it—the rainbow. 3. Abrahamic Covenant. This unconditional covenant, first made to Abraham in Genesis 12:1-3, promised God's blessing upon Abraham, to make his name great and to make his progeny into a great nation. The covenant also promised blessing to those who blessed Abraham and cursing to those who cursed him. Further, God vowed to bless the entire world through Abraham's seed. Circumcision was the sign that Abraham believed the covenant (Romans 4:11). The fulfillment of this covenant is seen in the history of Abraham's descendants and in the creation of the nation of Israel. The worldwide blessing came through Jesus Christ, who was of Abraham's family line. 4. Mosaic Covenant. This conditional covenant, found in Deuteronomy 11 and elsewhere, promised the Israelites a blessing for obedience and a curse for disobedience. Much of the Old Testament chronicles the fulfillment of this cycle of judgment for sin and later blessinwhen God's people repented and returned to God. 5. Davidic Covenant. This unconditional covenant, found in 2 Samuel 7:8-16, promised to bless David's family line and assured an everlasting kingdom. Jesus is from the family line of David (Luke 1:32-33) and, as the Son of David (Mark 10:47), is the fulfillment of this covenant. 6. Re-New Covenant. This covenant, found in Jeremiah 31:31-34, promised that God would forgive sin and have a close, unbroken relationship with His people. The promise was first made to Israel and then extended to everyone who comes to Jesus Christ in faith (Matthew 26:28; Hebrews 9:15).
