The Coating Solution - Energy Infrastructure thefortgroup
Our nation’s dependency on water amplifies the need for responsible care and proactive steps towards preservation. Water, potable, gray water and containment systems are made up of physical assets… assets that are constantly aging and deteriorating. The reality is, it’s only a matter of time until more severe (and costly) action will be necessary. Fortunately, something can be done to arrest this process via corrosion mitigation.
Environmental Product Declarations for 2014 PNW Timberlands Conf 4 18-14Vicki Worden
The document discusses how environmental product declarations (EPDs) support wood products markets. EPDs provide quantified environmental impact information on products and are based on life cycle assessment (LCA) data. LCA collects data on potential environmental impacts at each stage of a product's life cycle from extraction to end of life. EPDs use boundaries set in LCA. There are growing market drivers for EPDs and "green" products, including building codes, certification programs, and consumer demand. EPDs can help wood products compete by providing transparency on environmental performance and addressing misconceptions.

About Potato, The scientific name of the plant is Solanum tuberosum (L).Christina Parmionova
The potato is a starchy root vegetable native to the Americas that is consumed as a staple food in many parts of the world. Potatoes are tubers of the plant Solanum tuberosum, a perennial in the nightshade family Solanaceae. Wild potato species can be found from the southern United States to southern Chile
Synopsis (short abstract) In December 2023, the UN General Assembly proclaimed 30 May as the International Day of Potato.
UN WOD 2024 will take us on a journey of discovery through the ocean's vastness, tapping into the wisdom and expertise of global policy-makers, scientists, managers, thought leaders, and artists to awaken new depths of understanding, compassion, collaboration and commitment for the ocean and all it sustains. The program will expand our perspectives and appreciation for our blue planet, build new foundations for our relationship to the ocean, and ignite a wave of action toward necessary change.
Working with data is a challenge for many organizations. Nonprofits in particular may need to collect and analyze sensitive, incomplete, and/or biased historical data about people. In this talk, Dr. Cori Faklaris of UNC Charlotte provides an overview of current AI capabilities and weaknesses to consider when integrating current AI technologies into the data workflow. The talk is organized around three takeaways: (1) For better or sometimes worse, AI provides you with “infinite interns.” (2) Give people permission & guardrails to learn what works with these “interns” and what doesn’t. (3) Create a roadmap for adding in more AI to assist nonprofit work, along with strategies for bias mitigation.

to do what we’ve
always done
What I would like to do is;
Provide life expectancy estimates of outdoor components.
Review how many decks, porches and balconies need to be replaced.
Present the benefits of a GOOD Deck Inspection program.
Just like other products exposed to the environment, over time your deck will need to be replaced.
Do you realize that there are more than 7,770 people injured from a structural failure each year from a deck, porch or balcony?
This is a conservative number because emergency room visits account for less than 40% or people seeking healthcare after an injury.
After railing injury stories;
So what can NADRA do to reduce the number of people being injured from decks, porches or balconies?
There are about 3 million homes sold each year with a deck or wood porch. This is the perfect time for a proper inspection and when someone is buying a new home that is the time when the most money is spent on upgrades or corrections.
After “A $4 billion increase” –
We can continue to do what we’ve always done and expect a different results – isn’t that the definition of insanity?
Or you can support the NADRA Education Initiative.
