The SQID (SA Quality Improvement Data) Cycles were developed by AHCSA to build on existing data programs and support quality improvement at Aboriginal health services using a proactive approach. The cycles occur every three months and guide services through a PDSA (Plan-Do-Study-Act) quality improvement template focused on interactive data analysis and goal setting. The first SQID cycle focused on HbA1c testing rates for Aboriginal clients with type 2 diabetes through webinars teaching quality improvement methods and reviewing services' testing data to develop PDSA cycles.
