3. Social Learning Theory:
 This theory was made popular by Albert Bandura, it states that social behavior is
learned mainly from observing and imitating the actions of other people.

4. Social Learning Theory:
 This theory is similar to younger kids wanting to use/ get the most recent
technologies because they see the older generation using it.

6. Media Dependency Theory
 systematic approach to the study of the effects of mass media on audiences and
of the interactions between media, audiences, and social systems.

7. Media Dependency Theory
 People rely heavily on the media for information about certain situations. One
example of this is ISIS, people go online or even use apps to get their updates
about what is happening because most people aren’t actually there.

9. Social Information Processing Theory
 The social information processing theory is an interpersonal
communication theory and media studies theory developed by Joseph Walther.
Explains how online relationships are formed.

 Tells how relationships would have never formed if there was not advanced
technology due to geographical location.

12. Conclusion
 Based on the three theories that I have talked about in the previous slides, I’ve
come to the conclusion that some technologies will continue to thrive. The
technologies that I feel that will thrive and become more advanced are; apple
products, online dating, smart TVs, apps, and the internet. While others will die out
such as landline phones and normal TV.
