Personal Statement
My ultimate goal is to be a scientist. I love to learn and gain new knowledge about everything
related to IC field. "Give up" has no place in my life. I always love to learn and I will do it forever.
Education
• M.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering. Ten subjects are accomplished and I'm currently
starting on my Thesis.
• B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from "Ain-Shams" University with a "Very Good"
cumulative grade
- Graduation Project ( Grade: Distinct )
 Multi-Streaming Receiver based on IEEE 802.11n standard sponsored by "Silicon
Vision"
 Studied the IEEE 802.11n standard and extracted the SPECs out of it. Read about
the RF transceiver systems and different architectures
 My role in the project ended up with designing "Sigma-Delta ADC". The main
reference was "Understanding Delta-Sigma Data Converters" By Richard Schreier.
2012 - Now
2011
Certificates & Trainings
• Project Management Professional (PMP) Course given by Mrs. Ola Fathallah. Sponsored by
MIPEX
• CMOS Fabrication Training Course at CIME NanoTech, Grenoble, France. Sponsored by
Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center (TIEC)
 In this training we have been trained and educated on how a CMOS chip is fabricated
step by step doing everything by our own.
 This training included sessions in testing the wafers we made by our hands (Testing
basic devices like MOSFETs) using what is called "Probing Station".
 It also included sessions on how characterization and modeling for devices is done using
device simulators.
• TOEFL Internet Based Test (iBT) through the American University with a total score of "97"
out of "120". It was taken on SAT 28, July 2012.
 One note to be mentioned here is that, my score in the different tests; Reading,
Writing, Speaking and Listening were above or equal to "23" which they consider the
best one can get in a test.
• Mobile Communication Package Course sponsored by "Vodafone"
 GSM Overview, Air Interface, Radio Planning, Network Parameters …..etc)
Work Experience
• AMS Design Engineer at MIPEX. "Serial Links" MPHY and DPHY IPs based on MIPI standards.
 “Phase and Frequency Detector” PFD design
 “Charge Pump” Design
 “Loop Filter” Design
• IC Layout Design Engineer at MIPEX. "Serial Links" MPHY and DPHY IPs based on MIPI
standards.
 Accomplished layout for different blocks, top levels and test chips. Transmitters,
Receivers, Bandgap …etc
 Worked on most recent technologies (e.g. 90nm, 60nm, 40nm and 28nm)
 Helped in some projects on developing layout techniques for reducing parasitics for
some critical nodes.
 Via-Checker and Adder script development using scripting languages (e.g. Perl, ample
and Standard Verification Rule Format, SVRF). Used to check for places on a power grid
that lacks Vias and adds them. Proved to be very useful in reducing IR drop and became
a must-check process in all of the Company's tape-outs.
 Explored a feature in the tool that facilitates calculating the Point-to-Point resistance.
Proved to be very helpful in reducing IR drop.
 Devices and Standard Gates Generator script development using Perl and ample
scripting languages. Used to create all of the devices and gates in a given Netlist and
categorize them into a specified category.
• Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center (TIEC)
 The main objective was to establish a team of engineers to support VLSI companies,
researches or students to make Egypt the first in the Middle East in the field.
 Title was a "Research Engineer", supervised by Dr.Maged Ghoneima and Prof. Yehea
Ismail.
 Made a visit to the AUC and its clean room, accomplished by the help of prof.Yehea
Ismail.
 Helped in giving hands-on sessions for students accommodated by TIEC for VLSI training
course.
 Started, but not finished, a project with Dr.Maged about "Analog Design Automation"
using perl scripting and HSPICE commands. Automated "Gm/Id technology
characterization" script. Resulted tables are drawn using Matlab. Look-up perl function
is also developed.
01/2016 – Now
06/2013 – 12/2016
01/2012 – 06/2013
 Helped on the installation of Synopsys tools (HSPICE) and its licenses. Accomplished a
methodology for accessing the tools remotely for specific users.
 Helped in establishing a database summarizes most of the VLSI companies in Egypt.
