1 OBJECTIVE
I am passionate to develop a research oriented career in Electrical Engineering.
2 ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS
2.1 UNIVERSITY OF LANCASTER – BENG (HONS) ELECTRICAL (TELECOM) ENGINEERING, 2011-2015
Obtained Engineering degree with Distinction and stood 2nd
in the batch.
Covered a broad range of courses including Electronics, Signal Processing, Computer Networking, Control
Systems, Microprocessor Systems Interfacing and Error Control Coding. Specialized in Communication
Systems and Electronics.
2.2 RESOURCE ACADEMIA, LAHORE – A LEVELS, 2007-2009
Mathematics (A), Chemistry (A), Biology (A), Physics (B).
Motivated to pursue further career in Mathematical and Scientific studies due to consistent performance.
Intimating success led me to dig deep in Mathematical studies.
2.3 LAURELBANK SCHOOL SYSTEM, LAHORE – O LEVELS, 2005-2007
9 subjects with A’s in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Urdu.
3 RESEARCH EXPERIENCE
3.1 MOBILE ROBOT SYSTEMS RESEARCH GROUP CIIT LAHORE, SEPT 2014 - JUNE 2015
Research topic: “Multi-agent Path Planning and Obstacle avoidance of non-Holonomic Robots”. Research
on mobile robots, supervised by Dr. Mujtaba H. Jaffery, focused on Localization, Wireless Communication
and Path planning. Used state-of-the-art LabVIEW software to deploy Image Processing algorithm,
Bluetooth Master-slave configuration and Path Planning algorithm (A*). Investigated improved
computational efficiency of centralized computer system due to LabVIEW. Exhibited project at 7th
International Workshop on Field and Assistive Robots (WFAR-7). Also participated in EMCOT 2015 –
nationwide project competition.
4 PROJECTS
4.1 DESIGN OF MICRO STRIP PATCH ANTENNA FOR WLAN APPLICATIONS USING BACK-TO-BACK
CONNECTION OF TWO E-SHAPES
Used High Frequency Structure Simulator, HFSS 13.0 to simulate the design of micro strip patch antenna.
Resonated at 2.4 G Hz for WLAN applications. Radiation pattern, bandwidths, return loss and VSWR
provided in results. Observed constant radiation pattern with improved bandwidth.
4.2 DIGITAL MULTI METER (DMM) USING AT83C81 MICROCONTROLLER
Designed a DMM using AT83C81 microcontroller, LCD and A/D converter. Coded in C – language, using
Microsoft Vision, to display an output voltage ranging from 0 – 10 V on LCD. This project focused on
practical applications of A/D converters and microcontrollers.
4.3 ONLINE TICKET RESERVATION SYSTEM
Coded a program in C – language using link-list, queues, stacks and other data structures. Programed for
reserving tickets depending upon availability or cancelling. Submitted as a semester project for the course
of Algorithms and Data Structure.
4.4 AM RECEIVER
Used envelope recovery to demodulate AM signals from the surroundings. Learnt the use of RC circuits,
amplifiers, diodes and applied the concepts of Circuit Theory. Made cheap AM receiver to play music on
AM radio.
4.5 SPEED CONTROLLED DC MOTOR
Project involved the application of step down transformer and DC motor. Applied circuit theory and used
electronic components to drive motor speed. Also used a Tachometer to determine rotation speed.
5 SKILLS
Computing – During my degree I acquired a whole range of IT skills, many self-taught. For example I learnt
MATLAB, C – programming and Java in enrolled courses. Plus, I also did projects on Processing, HFSS and
LabVIEW. Other soft wares include Quartus II, Emulator 8086, Microsoft Vision, Proteus, Nec-win,
AutoCAD and Packet tracer. My present bank of skills also include excellent working knowledge of
Microsoft Office.
Communication – I gained strong communication skills by giving presentations during the classes and
project exhibitions. Obtained 7.5 band in IELTS Speaking Module. Attended international conference
(WFAR-7) and discussed research ideas with foreign participants.
Problem Solving – Studied a technical degree which incorporated system design, analysis and
programming, required analytical, numerical and problem solving skills. I further brushed these skills by
taking challenging competitions like International Math Kangaroo Contest, National Physics Talent
Contest and IEEE Brainstorm Quiz Competition.
Leadership and Teamwork – Worked as group leader for Final Year Project to assign tasks and share
responsibilities. Tutored classmates at college and university to help students in the studies. Coordinated
in a team at college to organize annual inter college quiz competition.
6 INTERESTS AND ACTIVITIES
I love to play badminton and cricket in sports - to improve reflexes and muscular strength. In reading, I
like autobiographies. Recently I read about Pervaiz Musharaf and Benazir Bhutto. I also use Continuous
Professional Development platforms like EDX and FutureLearn. I also raised charity during an internship
at Fatima Memorial Hospital and donated to WWF at school.
7 AWARDS AND HONORS
Awarded need and merit based scholarship by HEC Pakistan during undergraduate studies, 2013-2015.
Awarded Prime Minister Youth Laptop Scheme Award, 2015.
Awarded Certificates and Cash prizes for Perfect Attendance at school and college.
Awarded Best Conduct Certificate and many Positions by Merit during schooling.
