Beliau melanjutkan mengambil gelar MAGISTER dan DOKTOR (Ph.D) dalam bidang LEBAH MADU di UNIVERSITY of THE PHILLIPINE at LOS BANOS (UPELB) Filipina tahun 1980, 1987. Beliau memperoleh gelar Ph.D di PHILIPINA dan tercatat sebagai PROFESSOR AHLI LEBAH PERTAMA di UPELB. Pada tahun 1990, Prof. Dr. Ir. H. A. Mappatoba Sila M.Sc, mengembangkan dan mengepalai sebuah Laboratorium Lebah Madu di Fakultas Pertanian dan Kehutanan Universitas Hasanuddin Makassar. Beliau didukung oleh Staf-staf Ahli yang langsung dikader oleh beliau sendiri. Salah satu Staf Ahli Beliau, adalah Bapak Ir. HAMKA MADDU yang telah beberapa kali mengadakan Training atau Pelatihan Lebah Madu diberbagai daerah di Indonesia.

4. Why? I have dressed them like this to show the variety of members who might be interested in my magazine. They are dressed casually, comfortably and fit the style of a modern rock musician. They aren’t dressed like those who would listen to classical music, who would dress like the image below, more presentable, dressed smartly.
5. My product My product represents my audience because it is designed in a modern style, modern fonts and modern colours, designed on modern technology (Adobe Indesign CS3). My magazine also reviews the newest and up to date gear (image below)
6. Difference? I think I haven’t done anything different from my magazine genre because this genre of magazine is for a niche audience. I’m not trying to sell my product to people who don’t play guitar, I want the people who do to buy it. Most guitar magazines have reviews, interviews, games, competitions. The only difference I would say is that mine is laid out for those who are beginners or intermediate in guitar playing. This is because of the wording of the DPS, the use of images, and the colour scheme repeating throughout the magazine.
7. Challenge or Support? I feel I didn’t want to try and be different with my magazine, as it’s for a niche audience I myself am part of that audience and I know what I like in a magazine of this genre, and after doing market research, I discovered the design and layout I had for my magazine was the best choice for this audience. I would say my magazine supports ideas about my social group.
