Benji was diagnosed with colon cancer at age 34 despite no family history. He had been experiencing stomach issues for years. After multiple tests came back normal, he was found to have a large tumor during a colonoscopy. Biopsy results confirmed it was cancerous and it had metastasized. Benji is married with 3 children and owns his own business. Despite a difficult prognosis, he is enrolling in a clinical trial to fight the cancer for the sake of his family.

2. Cancer can strike at any
age
 Benji was diagnosed with colon cancer in
March 2012.
 He is only 34 years of age.
 Benji has been married for 14 years.
 He has 3 beautiful children
 Benji hauled wrecked cars for a living.
 There is no known colon cancer in the
family.
 Medical doctors are thinking his cancer is
genetic.

3. Symptoms that something was wrong
 Benji was sick for a few years.
 Every time he ate he was sick immediately.
 Stomach would bloat.
 Excruciating pain in his lower back.
 Test after test came back ok.
 CT Scans showed nothing.
 Went to ER for what he thought was flu.
 Blood work came back bad.
 He was severely anemic.

5. Finding out about the
cancer
 Benji’s family doctor set up an appointment
for endoscopy and colonoscopy.
 When the surgeon done the colonoscopy
he found a large tumor on the colon.
 A biopsy was taken from the tumor.
 3 days later Benji found out it was
cancerous.
 4 days later after surgery to remove tumor
we found out that is was metastasis.

7. A Family Man
 Benji loves his family.
 Always taking them on vacation.
 Plays games with them.
 Takes them fishing.
 Loves taking the kids to Billy Bob’s.
 Hard worker to support his family.
