Exploring Factors Affecting the Success of TVET-Industry Partnership: A Case ...AJHSSR Journal
ABSTRACT: The purpose of this study was to explore factors affecting the success of TVET-industry
partnerships. A case study design of the qualitative research method was used to achieve this objective. For the
study, one polytechnic college of Oromia regional state, and two industries were purposively selected. From the
sample polytechnic college and industries, a total of 17 sample respondents were selected. Out of 17
respondents, 10 respondents were selected using the snowball sampling method, and the rest 7 respondents were
selected using the purposive sampling technique. The qualitative data were collected through an in-depth
interview and document analysis. The data were analyzed using thematic approaches. The findings revealed that
TVET-industry partnerships were found weak. Lack of key stakeholder‟s awareness shortage of improved
training equipment and machines in polytechnic colleges, absence of trainee health insurance policy, lack of
incentive mechanisms for private industries, lack of employer industries involvement in designing and
developing occupational standards, and preparation of curriculum were some of the impediments of TVETindustry partnership. Based on the findings it was recommended that the Oromia TVET bureau in collaboration
with other relevant concerned regional authorities and TVET colleges, set new strategies for creating strong
awareness for industries, companies, and other relevant stakeholders on the purpose and advantages of
implementing successful TVET-industry partnership. Finally, the Oromia regional government in collaboration
with the TVET bureau needs to create policy-supported incentive strategies such as giving occasional privileges
of duty-free import, tax reduction, and regional government recognition awards based on the level of partnership
contribution to TVET institutions in promoting TVET-industry partnership.

Non-Financial Information and Firm Risk Non-Financial Information and Firm RiskAJHSSR Journal
ABSTRACT: This research aims to examine how ESG disclosure and risk disclosure affect the total risk of
companies. Using cross section data from 355 companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange, data regarding
ESG disclosure and risk was collected. In this research, ESG and risk disclosures are measured based on content
analysis using GRI 4 guidelines for ESG disclosures and COSO ERM for risk disclosures. Using multiple
regression, it is concluded that only risk disclosure can reduce the company's total risk, while ESG disclosure
cannot affect the company's total risk. This shows that only risk disclosure is relevant in determining a
company's total risk.

ABSTRACT: Although a significant amount of literature exists on Morocco's migration policies and their
successes and failures since their implementation in 2014, there is limited research on the integration of subSaharan African children into schools. This paperis part of a Ph.D. research project that aims to fill this gap. It
reports the main findings of a study conducted with migrant children enrolled in two public schools in Rabat,
Morocco, exploring how integration is defined by the children themselves and identifying the obstacles that they
have encountered thus far. The following paper uses an inductive approach and primarily focuses on the
relationships of children with their teachers and peers as a key aspect of integration for students with a migration
background. The study has led to several crucial findings. It emphasizes the significance of speaking Colloquial
Moroccan Arabic (Darija) and being part of a community for effective integration. Moreover, it reveals that the
use of Modern Standard Arabic as the language of instruction in schools is a source of frustration for students,
indicating the need for language policy reform. The study underlines the importanceof considering the
children‟s agency when being integrated into mainstream public schools.

The Challenges of Good Governance and Project Implementation in Nigeria: A Re...AJHSSR Journal
ABSTRACT : This study reveals that systemic corruption and other factors including poor leadership,
leadership recruitment processes, ethnic and regional politics, tribalism and mediocrity, poor planning, and
variation of project design have been the causative factors that undermine projects implementation in postindependence African states, particularly in Nigeria. The study, thus, argued that successive governments of
African states, using Nigeria as a case study, have been deeply engrossed in this obnoxious practice that has
undermined infrastructure sector development as well as enthroned impoverishment and mass poverty in these
African countries. This study, therefore, is posed to examine the similarities in causative factors, effects and
consequences of corruption and how it affects governance, projects implementation and national growth. To
achieve this, the study adopted historical research design which is qualitative and explorative in nature. The
study among others suggests that the governments of developing countries should shun corruption and other
forms of obnoxious practices in order to operate effective and efficient systems that promote good governance
and ensure there is adequate projects implementation which are the attributes of a responsible government and
good leadership. Policy makers should also prioritize policy objectives and competence to ensure that policies
are fully implemented within stipulated time frame.

2. The jump
We kick off with a very dramatic star as we
see a female character standing on the
edge of a building about to commit suicide.
While the character is building the courage
to jump camera is in shot reverse shot with
a man walking down the street. This shows
that there is some kind of relation between
the two characters, it is like the man walking
down the street is destined to save the
suicidal woman. At the moment the music is
quite up beat which has a contrasting effect
with the video as the mood is quite the
opposite. The current mood of the music
video is sad and quite panicky; this is
shown by the frantic camera movement as it
is representing the fear that the characters
are going through. For this scene they have
used a natural filter to give the video a
realistic effect which will make the audience
believe this story is actually happening.
Furthermore they have chosen to shoot this
scene on a cloudy day which can resemble
the depression of the female character.to
add effect to the danger she is in they have
a low angle shot looking up at her.
3. The resuce
The scene continues when the male
character notices the female character
about to jump off the building. There is
frantic and fast pace camera shots as the
male character see the females shoe fall
in front of him. He suddenly rushes up the
stairs to the top of the building to go and
save the woman. The editing director has
decided to represent the fast pace beat of
the song by doing fast pace editing.
Amongst the frantic editing they are able
to include lots of close ups of the woman
face to show her emotion. We can see
her face immediately light up as the man
pulls her back. They use wide shots to
emphasise the dangerous nature of the
situation. When the man is running up to
the woman they have close up shots over
the shoulder of the woman looking back
at the man to show how far away he is
and to show how cautious he is trying to
be. Again they are using the same natural
dark filter which give the scene the
dangerous nature.
4. The reabilitation
After the man saves the woman's life he
does what any normal person would do
and takes her for a hot drink to get to
know her. Immediately you can see the
effects of this kind act. They use a lot of
close ups to show the happy emotion on
the woman's face. the filter shows this
emotion change as well; the filter is now
much lighter to symbolise that the woman
is much happier and she feels safe with
her knight in shining armour. As this scene
quickly moves on we can see that the
woman has developed feeling for her
saviour, which you think is perfectly
understandable considering the situation
she was in only a few minutes ago. As her
feelings become clear the camera and
editing begins to pick up to symbolise the
woman's frantic attempt to display her
feelings. Follow this the woman goes into
kiss the man but he quickly rejects her
and shows her that he is married and that
he has no interest in her. This action will
create sympathy for the woman and
people will bond with this.
5. The confrontation
The woman does not batter an eyelid
towards this awkward rejection and as the
man leaves the café and pursues him down
the street like a lost puppy. Rather
immaturely we see her harass the man
down the street by jumping on him and
insisting to having contact with him at all
times. This is where the audience can feel
sorry for her as it is clear that she is acting
strange from her rejection. This is the point
where the man begins to get fed up and he
realises that he has to get out of this
situation. He walks off down a grotty
alleyway. This alleyway symbolises that bad
thing that is about to happen and how
unpleasant it will be. The woman has now
been angered by the rejection and
continues to pursue the man. At this point
the man lashes out in anger against the
woman to get her to stop follow him. They
use close up to show the intense rage the
character is feeling. The song has gone into
an instrumental to help the audience get
lost in the emotion in this scene.
6. The truth
After that encounter the audience will be
feeling extremely sympathetic for the
woman as they cannot believe how cruel
the man was to the suicidal woman. The
audience can see how emotionally
effected she is by that incidence as she is
now running back to the same roof where
she was going to jump. Once again they
are using the dark filter and frantic camera
movement to show the pain that the
woman is going through. As she gets to
the edge the editing slows down as she
composes her thoughts to jump. The
camera is in a POV shot and looking down
at the ground towards her death. as the
audience is caught up in the emotion of
this powerful scene they will realise that is
doing the same shot reverse shot with
another man walking down the street. This
time the camera watches her drop her
shoe in front of the man. This is where the
audiences whole perception of her
changes as they see it as a plot to meet
men. The audience will have a big shock
as they build their knew impression of her.
