Problems that occur with The
Muscular System
 Atony, where the muscles lose elasticity.
This makes the muscles tighten and make
you feel stiff and sore.

Zenker's degeneration
 Zenker's Degeneration: Various infectious
diseases like typhoid fever, toxaemia, etc.
cause the degeneration of skeletal
muscles.

Pelvic Floor Muscle Disorder
 Pelvic Floor Muscle Disorder: In the pelvic
floor muscle disorder, muscles that form
the pelvic floor remain in a
contracted/tightened position. Possible
reasons behind tightening of muscles
could be stress or trauma.

How can we care for our
muscles?
 we can keep the correct posture whilst
we are sitting and working.
 Maintaining a normal weight means you
don’t have to work your muscles harder.
3 ways to treat a torn muscle!
 #1 Rest the muscle. When you strain a
muscle, stop doing the activity that
caused it to be strained.
3 ways to treat a torn muscle!
 #2 Ice the muscle. Icing the area reduces
swelling and helps ease the pain.
 Wrap it in a thin towel, to protect your
skin from getting damaged by direct ice.
Hold the ice pack to your sore area for 20
minutes at a time until it stops hurting.
3 ways to treat a torn muscle!
 #3 Compress the area. Wrapping the site
of the pulled muscle can reduce
inflammation and provide support to
prevent further injury.
 Don't wrap the area too tightly, or you
might stop circulation.
The Future of Muscles
 Muscles have been used for a very long time
but can science make artificial muscles?
 Robots are the future and if robots are to be
like humans didn't they need human muscles
 Since we can’t take muscles from humans so
we have to create artificial muscles
 Artificial muscles can be stronger then
human muscles and sometimes even lighter
 If you lose muscles in a fight or something like
that artificial muscles can fix that
The Future of Muscles
Continue
 Right now artificial muscles are still not as
advance
 the future could make even better
artificial muscles with new thing and stuff
 One thing is for sure robots need artificial
muscles
Even more The Future of
Muscles
 Artificial muscles can lift loads 200 times
heavier then a human muscle can
 In tests muscles made from twisted strands
of carbon yarn were able to pull 100,000
times there own weight
 You might think this a breakthrough in
human muscles but they aren’t suitable
for replacing human muscles
