This document provides instructions for multiplying polynomials using three methods: the distributive property, FOIL (First Outer Inner Last), and the box method. FOIL is only used when multiplying two binomials, involving multiplying the first, outer, inner, and last terms of each binomial. The distributive property and box method can be used for any polynomials. Examples are provided to demonstrate multiplying polynomials step-by-step using each method.
