Personal Profile
A short term career goal would be to work at the United States Department of Veteran Affairs. I
am interested in working with veterans/military clients, or clients with Post-Traumatic Stress
Disorder. I believe I have the strengths to work with this population because I am a good active
listener, exceptional communicator and display strong interpersonal skills.
A long term career goal would be to open up a private practice that focuses on trauma-informed
care. I am interested in how repeated exposure to traumatic events can affect an individual’s
brain and nervous system. I believe I have the strengths to work with this population because
I am empathetic, resilient, and highly motivated.
A long term professional goal would be to become a professor at a university. I am interested in
conducting research, along with educating and presenting information to students. I believe I
have the strengths to work with students because I am a skilled leader, well organized, and
have strong critical thinking skills.
