I was posted as a trainee at HCL FOUNDATION office- Chennai in my MSW Program, I did manage to visit the filed and community along with project sites and programs under the supervision of the higher officials. It was a very good learning to be a part of HCL Foundation as a social work trainee. Please do be benefited by viewing the slides.

HCL Foundation funds for the programs of the
Cancer Institute in the hospital and among the
community. The aim is to make a TOBACCO FREE
COMMUNITY.

10.  Open shelter for men with Psychosocial needs-BANYAN
FOUNDATION
The shelter provides food, accommodation and other basic
needs for the men rescued from the roads of Chennai in collaboration
with Greater Chennai Corporation.
HCLF funds for the following projects:

3)Evening study centre for children in the Neighborhood

 The Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Avadi comes under the

 Sports is the main key to develop the school.
 Courts have been constructed under the project
 Kalam garden
 Floor renovations have been done.
 Computer lab facilities and staff is arranged.
 Career guidance programs and Moral development sessions are held.
 The Trainees made a Project proposal for the MY SCHOOL PROJECT to
the New Principal

23. ECO-RESTORATION PROJECT
oImplemented by Environmentalist Foundation of India (EFI); Funded
by HCL Foudation under the Harit- Green Space Inititative.
o2 places- Kannagi Nagar Lake and Alli Kulam(Lily pond), Akkarai.
oThe aim is to make the water bodies resourceful for the species
living in water and make them free from extinction.
oTo engage the neighborhood in the maintenance with added
responsibility is an effort to be taken by the HCL Foundation.

25. MICRO NUTRTION PROJECT
• The micro nutrition package is provided for 100 children infected by
HIV AIDS.
45- SIP Memorial Home, Kolathur
25- ICH, Egmore
30- Stanley Hospital, Royapuram
• To boost the immune system of the children undergoing Anti
Retroviral Treatment(ART) is the aim of the project.

TRAINEE DID MC AND DOCUMENTATION OF THE RPOGRAM
The program was held on 13/01/2020
Chief Guests:
1) Mr.C.N Bopannah, Income Tax Officer
(International Basket Ball Player)
2) Rev. Fr. Dr. Joseph Victor, Correspondent, Asian Group of
Schools, Avadi
The program was commenced with March past, Throw ball
matches between the chief guests and staffs of the school.
Followed by the events, prize distribution was held and chief
guests addressed the students.

28.  Margazhi Bird Utsav
TRAINEE DID DOCUMENTATION FOR THE PROGRAM
• The program was held on 10/01/2020.

-Tamil Nadu Forest Department
• A music performance was showcased by ‘Vayali Bamboo music band’
with more creativity and celebration oriented with Nature.
• Display of pictures captured during the bird watching and photography
contest held for the HCL Employees were done.
• Display of standees on process and importance of conservation of
wetlands especially Pallikaranai Marshland.

30. Ground Handing over Ceremony
TRAINEE WAS APART OF THE MC AND DOCUMENTATION
COMMITTEE
• The program was held on 20/02/2020 at the Govt. Girls Hr. Sec. School,
Avadi.
• As a part of the exit plan of the EXIT PLAN of the My School Project.
• The Chief guests were from the Department of Sports and Youth Affairs,
Government of Tamil Nadu and Districts sports Associations of the
Thiruvallur District.
• Exhibition of achievements, trophies and championship cups
• Each court was inaugurated individually.
