Poland is located in Central Europe. Its capital and largest city is Warsaw. Other major cities include Cracow and Gdansk. Famous Polish people include scientist Marie Curie, Pope John Paul II, and pianist Frederic Chopin. The education system includes nursery, kindergarten, primary school, and secondary school which culminates in the Matura exam needed to attend university. Polish cuisine and places like the Wieliczka Salt Mine are also part of Polish culture.
