This strategy will help the
learner to be able to name
items together / parent (s)
while reading a book
It will also help the child modeling from
an adult correct pronunciation.
It will help the child
to listen to and
identify sounds in
words
This intervention strategy can
be done at home
Interacts appropriately with peers on a social level
This strategy will help the learner to do better in the areas
of socio-emotional development
The learner will develop a more positive peer review.
Encourage the parents or caregivers to enroll the
learner in extra-mural activities. E.g. gardening,
dancing, chess, piano etc
The parental involvement of parents in this strategy
cannot be over-emphasized. It is the partnership
between relevant stake holders that will bear fruits
in this strategy.
Uses complete statements or thoughts when speaking
The learner must be
encouraged to explain pictures
of what she sees in the book
in class.
On the home environment the
learner must be encouraged to
talk about events, e.g. when
going shopping. The learner
must be challenged to provide
reasons for her interpretation.
This can be done when driving around. Questions like why? A
certain event occurred must be harnessed. Pictures of popular
brands can be used and the learners understanding probed.
Why these strategies that I have chosen are suitable for
learner support and development
 The most important fact in ensuring the appropriate development of the learner is
to get a “buy in” from the parents.
 The underlying relationship among all these enhancement strategies is the
partnership of relevant stakeholders.
 The strategies that I have provided are both suitable inside and outside the
classroom.
 The interest of the learner must be of paramount importance for the advancement,
development and success of the learner.
 These strategies are cost effective easily applicable and hassles free.
 There are easy and the can be done by all involved.
 These strategies will make the learner aware of her surroundings, environment and
have the curiosity to question, explore and understand her world.

On the home environment the learner must be encouraged to talk about events, e.g. when going shopping. The learner must be challenged to provide reasons for her interpretation. This can be done when driving around. Questions like why? A certain event occurred must be harnessed. Pictures of popular brands can be used and the learners understanding probed.

Why these strategies that I have chosen are suitable for learner support and development  The most important fact in ensuring the appropriate development of the learner is to get a “buy in” from the parents.  The underlying relationship among all these enhancement strategies is the partnership of relevant stakeholders.  The strategies that I have provided are both suitable inside and outside the classroom.  The interest of the learner must be of paramount importance for the advancement, development and success of the learner.  These strategies are cost effective easily applicable and hassles free.  There are easy and the can be done by all involved.  These strategies will make the learner aware of her surroundings, environment and have the curiosity to question, explore and understand her world.
