8. My Lessons Learnt
• Think global, act local and localize
• Build trust, talk to your customers – call them, meet them (local
presence in Russia needed)
• Accept cash on delivery and ’bargains’, you are in Russia – not Finland
• Engage your customers – social media and offline. Ask for feedback!
• Bloggers and Youtubers, get your own hash-tags in Vk, e.g. #МойМозо
• Sell online, but reach wherever it is more convenient to customer
• Get a partner who speaks Russian, build trust and relationship, and
mind the cultural differences
• Plan a retail or pick-up point in Moscow and St.Pete
