7. PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN-THE STORY:
• We’ve just seen the movie for Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, and it sets up the
basic concept that Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) ends up working with a woman from his past
(Penelope Cruz) to find the fountain of youth, with famed pirate Blackbeard (Ian McShane)
an unusual accomplice/rival.
• Meanwhile Barbossa (Geoffrey Rush) is working with the crown in some measure.
• Oh, and there are mermaids and zombies.
• In London, Captain Jack Sparrow escapes from the soldiers that are chasing him and
learns that an impostor is recruiting a crew and a vessel using his name. He meets the
impersonator and finds that she actually is Angelica, a woman that he had seduced in a
convent in Seville.
• Jack is abducted and when he awakes aboard, the ship is sailing, Angelica tells him that
her father, the pirate Blackbeard, is cursed and he needs to find the legendary Ponce de
Leon's Fountain of Youth to save his life.
• They force Jack, who knows the location of the fountain, to guide them. Meanwhile,
Barbossa is hired by King George to lead the British crew and dispute against the
Spaniards and Blackbeard who arrives first in the fountain.

10. CONCLUSION OF MOVIE:
• In my opinion, In this movie the pirates won in the end by
doing hard work and hardships and pirates won and British
force lose in the end. They have unity among them.
• As with the previous films, the plot was criticized as incoherent and
confusing. The Arizona Republic critic Bill Goodykoontz rated the film two
out of five, stating that "the movie is a series of distractions tossed
together in the hopes that they will come together in a coherent story.
That never really happens.
• Online reviewer James Berardinelli considered the script "little more than
a clothesline from which to dangle all of the obligatory set pieces”.
