Moringa, also known as the "Miracle Tree", is one of nature's most nutrient-rich plants. It originated in India over 5,000 years ago and contains over 90 nutrients. Moringa leaves contain high levels of vitamins, minerals, and proteins, with several times the nutrient levels of common foods like oranges, carrots, milk, and yogurt. A Moringa project in Ghana started by non-profits empowered a community by having them plant and cultivate Moringa, providing income and improving health, nutrition, and food security. The project was approved by the UN Global Compact for supporting sustainable development goals.
