The chapter discusses inheritance and polymorphism in object-oriented programming. It defines inheritance as a way to create subclasses that inherit and extend the functionality of a parent superclass. Polymorphism allows a variable to refer to objects from different classes as long as they are related by inheritance. The chapter provides an example of defining Student, UndergraduateStudent, and GraduateStudent classes in an inheritance hierarchy to model students, with the subclasses inheriting and extending the parent Student class. It also discusses how polymorphism allows working with objects from the subclasses through a common parent reference variable.
The i-D magazine masthead features an iconic "i-D" in orange font against a black background to represent a winking smiley face and appeal to a young audience. The cover features Rihanna winking seductively to similarly target younger readers. The color scheme of black, orange, and white creates intrigue while challenging conventions to position the magazine as unique. Through minimal text and big celebrity names from music, film and fashion, the magazine aims to attract a wide creative audience interested in lifestyle and culture.

The document discusses the benefits of exercise for mental health. Regular physical activity can help reduce anxiety and depression and improve mood and cognitive function. Exercise causes chemical changes in the brain that may help protect against mental illness and improve symptoms.
This document discusses strategic management and strategy. It defines strategic management as determining an organization's mission, goals, and plans to achieve them through consideration of internal and external factors. Strategy is defined as management's plan to achieve organizational goals and objectives. The document outlines different approaches to strategic management, types of strategies, and elements involved in the strategic management process.
Thanksgiving is an American holiday that involves watching football games. Parades are also popular on Thanksgiving with large crowds gathering to watch colorful processions through city streets.
The document provides an in-depth analysis of the sound design and soundtrack of the Coen brothers' 1991 film Barton Fink. It discusses how the film was intended to have a highly communicative sonic environment that wove together sound effects, dialogue, and music. The sound editor and composer worked closely with the directors to carefully integrate these elements in a way that complemented the narrative. This unique approach helped cultivate an atmosphere of unease that highlighted the main character's state of mind and the film's ambiguities. The intentional blending of diegetic and non-diegetic sounds transcended merely reinforcing the visuals and encouraged deeper levels of meaning.
The document outlines the history of horror films from the 1890s to 2000. It discusses how the first horror films were silent black and white films in the late 1800s, and how Universal Studios popularized adaptations of Dracula and Frankenstein in the 1930s. Technological advances in the 1950s led to films involving themes like alien invasions. The financial success of low-budget gore films in the 1970s spawned many similar films, while the 1990s saw an increase in real-world horrors and metaphorical films. The document also notes there are various subgenres of horror.

6. Presentazione del Bosco
Agli alunni viene presentato
ll Bosco di Germagnana :
la vegetazione e
gli abitanti.
Si proiettano diapositive
guidando gli alunni alla
scoperta delle
caratteristiche del Bosco.
10. Osservazione sul campo: affiniamo i
sensi
Con il naso ho
scoperto un fungo
puzzolente
Folletto Nasone annusa tutto :
Quello che è bello e quello che è
brutto.
Forte è l'odore di terra bagnata,
Di funghi, di foglie, di vita rinata.
E' l'olfatto il suo senso innato,
Sicuramente il più sviluppato !
11. Con la bocca ho
assaporato.........
12. Fata Gina, un po' farfallina
Tutto tocca da sera a mattina.
Le ruvide cortecce, le vellutate foglie...
Tutto tocca e molto raccoglie !
ruvida cortecciaruvida corteccia
13. Con gli occhi ho visto …….
una radice magica
Cento e più occhi
ha gnomo Occhibelli.
Il suo sguardo corre e abbraccia ogni
cosa :
radici, tronchi e nuvole rosa.
Ma anche ruscelli, cascate, sentieri,
passeri, gufi e ragni neri!
14. Con le orecchie ho
sentito ....
Una delicata melodia
Folletto Lello ha l'orecchio fino
E chiede silenzio...almeno un
pochino.
Tanta la musica che puoi udire :
Cinguettii, sibili e anche stormire!
16. Chiediamo ai nonni
Nessun nonno intervistato ha mai
abitato o frequentato il Bosco
di Germagnana e quindi non
abbiamo potuto raccogliere
testimonianze dalle loro voci.
Un nonno ha invece
accompagnato a scuola un suo
vecchio amico “ tartufaio” che
ha “battuto” quel bosco da
molti anni. Egli ci ha raccontato
come i tartufi siano diventati
difficili da trovare......”Prima ce
ne erano in abbondanza, ora
pare siino spariti”
21. Immagini a confronto
Immagini del passato non siamo
riusciti a trovarle ma esplorando il
territorio abbiamo scoperto:
resti di costruzioni(edifici, fienili,
rocca?)
Radure( forse spazi destinati ai lavori
legati al bosco ?)
Fossili marini
coltivati o vigneti. Presenti anche
agriturismi,e strutture ricettivi.
I bambini sono stati attratti dalla
presenza dell'acqua che “corre”
24. Rielaborazione materiale e
informazioni
Sul torrente gli alunni hanno effettuato
esplorazioni, raccolta di materiale,
pesca finalizzata ad individuare la
presenza di indicatori biologici per
verificare lo stato di salute del
luogo.
Buona la salute del Vaghera nel tratto
meno antropizzato che interessa l'
Area protetta di Germagnana.
Critica la salute del torrente nel tratto
terminale dove l'uomo ha
modificato il letto e attraversa
zone urbanizzate e industrializzate.
25. Risultati ottenuti
