The mobile games industry has grown significantly since 2000. Total revenue from mobile games, software, and hardware was $71.2 billion in 2007, compared to just $11.2 billion in 2000. Growth has slowed in recent years, but the introduction of iPhone and Android triggered renewed growth and innovation in mobile games. Popular games on mobile platforms in 2008 included Tetris, Pac-Man, and Bejeweled, while Texas Hold'em and Moto Chaser were top-grossing paid games on iPhone.
