Conclusions
The Future Envelope 12 final event 20-21 May 2019, Bolzano
• Model setup: → both toolchain approaches enable to use detailed specification of
façade related aspects and show high flexibility, same system data specification
• Theoretical comparison: → differences in modelling results, although alignment
of boundary conditions
• Comparison against measurements: → both toolchain approaches show the
ability to reproduce measured system data with reasonable accuracy
• Applicability/Accessibility: Most of specification data is free available, detailed
user-knowledge is required!
• Outcomes: detailed evaluations possible, but using detailed Building Simulations
tools does not guarantee reliable results

Conclusions The Future Envelope 12 final event 20-21 May 2019, Bolzano • Model setup: → both toolchain approaches enable to use detailed specification of façade related aspects and show high flexibility, same system data specification • Theoretical comparison: → differences in modelling results, although alignment of boundary conditions • Comparison against measurements: → both toolchain approaches show the ability to reproduce measured system data with reasonable accuracy • Applicability/Accessibility: Most of specification data is free available, detailed user-knowledge is required! • Outcomes: detailed evaluations possible, but using detailed Building Simulations tools does not guarantee reliable results
