SUCCESS STORIES
Create an intuitive, mobile Retail Management
System used by 50,000 employees.
Cut training time, boost productivity and increase
accuracy.
Hallmark’s InfoLink, the old retail management
system handled a database of hundreds of thousands
of products, inventory management and tracking of
employee productivity.
HALLMARK BEFORE
The user interface was so convoluted, it drastically
reduced employee efficiency and accuracy on the
job.
HALLMARK BEFORE
Learning the complex system was very time
consuming for new employees to grasp, requiring
lengthy & expensive training.
HALLMARK BEFORE
Hallmark and SAP turned to Sourcebits to create a
custom Android solution.
THE CHALLENGE
Goals:
▮ Decrease the time needed to train a retail
merchandise employee
▮ Increase the accuracy and amount of work done in
the same timeframe
▮ Be easy for non-traditional smart device users
▮ Meet 3,500 system requirements
THE CHALLENGE
HALLMARK AFTER
HALLMARK AFTER
▮ App was launched in July 2014.
▮ Now used 1.2 million hours per week.
▮ Reduced employee training by 1-2 weeks*.
▮ Increased employee performance by 8-16%.
▮ Increased inventory reporting accuracy by 12%.
*The savings alone realized by cutting employee training are almost double the app design &
development expense.

INTEL® EASY MIGRATION
Differentiate Intel Chromebooks retail marketing by solving a
big customer problem.
Let users move data between devices and the cloud.
With one tap.

INTUITIVE USER EXPERIENCE RESEARCH
PRIVATE SECURE ARCHITECTURE
CONSISTENT BRAND DESIGN
UNIVERSAL MULTIPLATFORM DEVELOPMENT
Sourcebits conducted a one-day Innovation Strategy
Workshop with representatives from Intel and Acer.
Together we decided to develop a mobile solution that
would provide a consumer sales differentiator for Intel-
powered Chromebooks to capture more of the market.
We would solve a big customer barrier to purchase —
make data migration easy.
THE PROCESS
Sourcebits built 4 applications — the primary Chrome Extension and then
Android, iOS and Windows apps. Each platform required custom design
and engineering solutions.
RESULTS
In addition to adhering to Intel's comprehensive visual brand guidelines,
Sourcebits adjusted each application's design to fit the pre-established UI
design practices of each particular platform, to create a familiar user
interface with low learning curve.
RESULTS
Months before the October 2014 launch, Sourcebits
provided a go-to-market launch strategy, built an information
website, developed 3 video demos, optimized descriptions
for ASO, and created the FAQ to manage customer support.
Intel and Acer are now gearing up to launch their
Chromebook campaign for the 2014 Holiday Season.
